So good to see this game in the latest update!

(IMO the banner should be cropped with the good proportions)

This photo is from 1995. It was taken a few years after the collapse of the USSR.
Here we see a clear example of the transition from socialism to capitalism. :(

And here is a real photo from the USSR: ;)

Best luck to you, comrade!
Allow me to disagree with the year that photo was taken.
The car seems new and if I guessed the model right (ГАЗ-24, years of production 1969-1985) it was before 90s. Then the clothes on the girls, their haircuts and accessories. Dresses looks totally Soviet, I'd say from sixties to eighties. Two of girls out of three has their hair dyed to blonde, that narrows it down to eighties. Then black sunglasses in one of the girl's hand... imported? Totally eighties, close to end of decade. My wild guess: photo was taken in Moscow region somewhen between 1987 and 1989.

And I don't get why MEMUAR showed us a picture of village. In RSSU we are not in village. Like at all. Science institutions and factories were at towns at least. The first ones sometimes were in ЗАТО, but it's still not a village.

Judging by the fashion, I'd still put it in the late 70's. Maybe a little later, but most likely before perestroika.
And hydrogen peroxide was discovered in the 19th century. :)
I wrote about another photo: about a picture with funerals, which was taken in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District (Western Siberia) in 1995. Here we see all the sorrowful consequences of the collapse of the USSR. :(

Can't believe it!

A few weeks ago, I was brainstorming how that game was named, where russian agency recruits you, with sexy redheads, and sexy redheads, and... i think there were some cute readheads, too. I had no success.

But now I know!

Yes I did
Well, in this case you know that it is not how it everywhere was.

A funeral on a tractor in the mud? Can you show me?
Do you realize that the climate and soil conditions are different in different countries? You should know what is the mud season (rasputitsa) if you lived in that part of the world. It doesn't mean the same weather conditions apply to the US or, say, Africa.
At least there were no lots of junkies, school shootings or residentially segregated ghettos in USSR. :ROFLMAO:
I mean, if you prefer to paint everything related to the USSR in black, you can. But that would be just your vision. Means something is wrong with your color perception that you cannot see the other parts of the spectrum.

These are also pictures of Soviet citizens, and they don't portray constant doom and gloom like yours:

Pictures can show whatever you want them to show. Just like not everything in the Soviet era was peaches and cream, so also was it not all vinegar and gall. There would have been happier times and there would have been sadder times. It was almost certainly a mixture of things, varied depending on the person, the location within the U.S.S.R., current events directly affecting those people, and many other factors. It's the same in Europe and the same in Canada and the United States. It's called being human.

That's what I tried to explain to him. If somebody wants to find some shit they can find shit virtually everywhere. It is scary that a person who was obviously young and full of energy at that time sees only doom and gloom in his past. Says something about the one's mental condition.
You immediately get personal and make a diagnosis. A very powerful and convincing argument! I give up!

I was born and raised there. If you want to tell me that it was all doom and gloom, I will call your bluff. You obviously try to find some photos showing drunken, handicapped people etc. and try to persuade that all it was like that.

You immediately get personal
Nope.

and make a diagnosis
And a qualified one. You want to say that you are young and cheerful? :p

I give up!
You'd better :ROFLMAO:

That was your takeaway from the photos I linked? LMAO. OK, keep your blinders on and pretend it was always cloudy skies, then. While you're right to say I've never lived in the Soviet Union, I had been there before the Iron Curtain fell. So I'm not talking about something with no knowledge. I did not visit as a tourist, either. I visited specifically to talk with local citizens as well as government officials. The local citizens with whom I spoke did have some hard times, of course; but they also were very happy with life in general terms. So, I am absolutely no expert, but I also am absolutely anything but oblivious.
