no english tl yet huh
Don't get your hopes up, Shiravune is handling it, so it's not even going to be uncensored.
And the biggest middle finger about that is the only reason they went with Shiravune instead of Mangagamer is because CLOCK-UP thought it would get to the overseas market faster and make them more money, yet there's been nothing but radio silence since the announcement over a year ago.

Clock-up isn't necessarely at fault, if the rumor coming from Mangagamer are to be believed.

Apparently, DMM helped finance the development of Sacrifice Villains and for whatever reason they ended up in possession of its translation rights. So, it would be DMM that sold those to Shiravune (japanese company, subject to the censorship laws) instead of Clockup's actual go to, Mangagamer (USA).

It's a very insulting situation, this game has everything I love from the type of heroes to fetishes, excellent cg that I won't be able to see uncensored due to the fact that the translation rights were transferred to Shiravune, they still can't even tell the translation dates. I've been very upset all year waiting for at least a translation. I probably wouldn't be so upset if I wouldn't knew that mangagamer could make an uncensored version.

Yeah, it's frustrating.
I want Sacrifice Villains to succeed so it might motivate Clockup to make a sequel, but with that translation fiasco, the entire market outside of japan has to have kneecapped sales. It's depressing to think about.

Favorite girl/scene?
Mine is Sam's blowbang.

Pretty old thread, but does anyone know if Shiravune actually released an official translation?
Because I managed to get like 30% of this game translated before seeing the announcement and getting discouraged to continue.
If not, maybe I'll get around to work on it again, if someone might find themselves interested in that.

Yeeeeeah no, it's been about two years since the announcement went out and the page went up on their site... and there hasn't been a single word from them since. PLUS, this is Shiravune, the folks who butchered and censored the Kuroinu translations to hell and back as well. If you could come through with a proper translation of Butcha-U's work, that would be vastly appreciated!

Pluuuus, if you're a fan of Butcha-U's work, maaaybe consider Dirty Prison Ship too? EmeraldFatalis is working on a translation, but their attention is split with their own work, so slow goings there...

But! The point is, Sacrifice Villains is currently dead in the water. Any help in bailing it out would be infinitely appreciated.

Like Insomniaz said, we haven't got any word from Shiravune about SV since the announcement. So, having a fan translation as backup would be quite nice for the game. That said, did you test if your translation can be implemented to Sacrifice Villains? I heard that its custom engine is difficult to work with.

I see. Unfortunately I just recently started translating games after working a couple of years only on novels, so I'm pretty new to the patching and testing stuff. I'm a fast learner tho, so I'll try to look around into that.
Seeing the responses on the thread, I think I'll give it a go and continue on where I left. It's better than having nothing, and I really love Butcha-U's art on top of the superhero genre on hentai media, which, surprisingly is quite low if we don't consider direct fanworks of Marvel and DC.

I wish you the best of luck. I broke my teeth on it, but i'm just an amateur ass. Finding a way to patch that version of the engine would be great. Not only for SV, but potentially for upcoming Clockup games too. If said engine version becomes a new standard for the company, future fan translations of, say for example might become a real headache.

I agree, and Butcha's art stand out. Regarding the lack western style superhero hentai, it's actually pretty normal because Japan has its own hentai superheroes, inspired by old school sentais and Ultraman. The niche is already filled, so to speak.
From all the artist i know, Butcha-U is the one that take the most from the aesthetics and sensibilities of american comics (coupled with a truck load of fetishes/framing inspired from western porn). I guess he's not called a Westaboo for nothing.
