The resolution of the cgs in all versions of the game is 1152x720p, which is a shame because the oldest samples images have shown that the originals are at least 1920x1080.

Now regarding the weight of the png cgs of the english version (uncut/full image only):
683202 bits is the lightest,
1405574 for the second heaviest,
4016301 for first place, a big outlier. Must be all the dust and debris caused by Justopia punch-landing on the ground.

It also seems the localization engine team made some mistakes or bad decisions.
The original Jap game is only about 4 GB while the eng version is almost 8 GB.
The 3+ GB of extra space turns out is the standing CGs like you said.

The jap version used .webp images for standing CGs, while the english version, I don't know WHY, uses uncompressed .png files.
The sad thing is that things like that are not uncommon with localizations and are never fixed.

So, can this be fixed by outside sources, like the folks on this site? Or are we just up a creek without a paddle?

in theory, a repack is possible. I've seen it done here for other game, but there's no guaranty either since SV's version of Yuris engine has the reputation to be difficult to work with. Given that, i won't take a shot at it; i don't have the competence anyway.

That said, if you are really desperate for every ounce of free space, i know how to easily shave 500 mb of the game. It involves deleting the files containing the opening, and the various ending scrolls. I didn't test this trick on the translated version, but i can check if it works provided that someeone is interested. I played for about one year with that "shaved" japanese version, and never came across any problems, so it's worth a shot for those who need that little bit of free space.

As far as i know, the canon neither confirm nor deny that Masked Nympho is grown up Meozono Chihaya from Kenzen. The two girls are worlds apart, but thinking they're the same person isn't that far. Indeed, as written in the second chapter of the illustrated novel, interdimentional travel actually exist in Sacrifice Villains (Bad Lotion and Night Charger fought against some sort of warlock capable to crosse the barrier between hell and the real world).
Advanced futuristic technology also exis , so does alien technology and magic. The means are there, it would only take a snap of the fingers from the writer. On the motivation side, it's not difficult to imagine Chihaya crossing a portal, traveling trough time, or hoping in some random stranded alien spacecraft in the hopes of ending up in a world of superheroes to realize her dream.
