I agree with you. The lights are the hardest thing to master in Daz3D, and I'm still learning it.
. When I couldn't bear it anymore, I invested in a new CGI and it changed my life lol. Now, I have less excuse for that, I just need to learn how to do lighting better and more efficiently.

Hmmm, but how do you cast no shadows on secondary lights ? That always gives me additional shadows.
I only played chapter 1, but I can tell you that this game ain't gonna be a real NTR game. It doesn't even have NTR to be honest. It has "NTR" the type that dumb fucks are always crying about. It has relationship dynamics of a bunch of friends who can do some threesome/cheating/love triangle/flirting/whatever. You should know by now that you are not gonna get a NTR centric story from western devs unless it's very clearly marketed as such.
OK, well to be honest I've don't use Daz, dabbled a bit but I'm trained in Maya. In that program you can assign the light to to only work on certain objects. The default setting of the light hits everything, but you can also make a list and select individual object for it to light. That way if it's only effecting the characters it won't cast a shadow on the ground as it doesn't effect anything else in the scene. I just quickly googled and using Iray it seems there are ways to do it with Daz. It really will make the characters pop. Also in the lighting in Maya, and so probably in Daz as well there were options to simply turn off shadows, so lights wouldn't cast shadows. It's way of putting lots of lights in scene without using to much computing power to render. It's a way to 'fake' fill light, bounce light and back light. Each character should have at least fill light, a frontal facing light, and then at an angle to the camera to help give definition to the face. And then a back light, at an angle to the fill light, so to not be flat. The back light in the renders you provided could really highlight the edges of the characters in the color of the sun, make them stand out and not blend in so much to the background. Hope this helps at all, sorry if it seems if I rambling! And I'm using Iray rendering only, not 3Dlight which I don't like. I found some options in the light parameters for "no shadow", but it seems to work only in 3Dlight
With Iray and RayTracing, I have shadows no matter what, unless I missed something.

You need just a little more. I believe 1% more if I remember, unlucky. I might reduce the threeshold in the future but honestly, I dont think it's that hard to reach. Otherwise, the mod version will be ready soon. You can readjust relationship points with it.
I think you are playing an older version (or probably the modded version which I remind is still v0.2 not v0.3).
