The problem is the games built with high quality pixel art
View attachment 2528604
It looks sharp as fuck up close, but blurs when zoomed out.
I have yet to figure out if this is GPU, engine, bug or post processing related.

Modern gpus are notoriously bad with pixel art so its the most likely cause but im unsure how to approach it.
It's a combination of two problems:

1) Game Maker 2 is shit at dynamic scaling, and

2) the actual animations are made in Spine which rotates, squashes, and stretches the original pixel sprite sheets to make tweened, jelly-like animations, and GM2 has a hard time anti-aliasing 'rotated' pixels when reduced in size.

If the dev actually animated the sprites with normal techniques, the blur would be less severe, but tilting and stretching pixels is going to look like shit when shrunken down no matter what you do.

-edit-

nvm, looking at the animations in Spine, they look fine at any size. It's probably just shitty compatability with GM2.

searching the game files, there are definitely pregnancy sprite sheets for moving/jumping/attacking/etc but they're all unblurred making me think they're unused.
its too bad, just if that feature can be applied in game it gonna be a plus point for the game but after think about it again its barely hard to apply that into the game cause how did you wanna fuck with a downed npc like "nurse" or "handcuff" if you have a big belly

yea i thought it was weird but i wasnt really thinking much about tryna play the game with one hand and all. like somehow i really did just block out alot of the horror aspects but thats dark. doesnt seem like all the rubies "failed" though. alot of them seem to have gone rouge

The spine animations looked fine when I used the zoom in/out in setaria.
Dev released an update with zoom 1,2,3,4x screen options so maybe that might fix some scaling issues

just waiting for a tool to exist that can repack spine into data.win files, tried just about every tool for modding data.win I could find and they all failed. might have better luck just modding a gallery into the demo version at this rate

The only thing left is to join their discord and pester them
or we can edit the import script, but I have no clue about the utmt api/backend

I'm just a monkey hitting a rock with another rock, if someone makes the tool then I can do the legwork of importing, but there's an absolute zero chance of me coding anything.

It's really not the gpu
I am still not sold that the GPU is not at some fault, my AMD gpu has integer scaling thats toggle able but seems to do nothing to the game.

That's a possibility. Keep looking at stuff, never know what might be the actual cause till we can nail it down.
I'm mostly suspect now of lighting/post processing in the game, especially the "glow" around the sprites.

I found a script for some kind of effect but am not sure how to approach disabling it without potentially causing other issues.

Ah just had a thought, maybe there's a potential debug mode that might have toggles for things...

Also considering the measly size of the game, what the potential of un-archiving it entirely to run all files loose? As in no longer using the .win

I'm not looking for anything, I'm telling you what I found.

so far i've been playing the game the only pregnancy scene i see is that "carrier" so i don't think the protagonis can be impregnanted
Doing a search through all of the game's code, the pregnancy effect/buff is only used by a test object called "oBuffSetTest" which sets the pregnancy effect upon colliding with the object. This is clearly test code only. Looks like the dev decided not to implement it any further.

If you are able to mod the game, you can spawn the oBuffSetTest object and walk over it to see how the pregnancy buff would've looked like.

EDIT: it would look like this:

Side note: there's also another buff called "bigpenis", which is also not used in the game.

Damn, was really hoping for pregnant futa content. If anyone can mod that back in and make it work I'll pay you real money lol. Same with the bigger penis buff.

Expending bullets for dashes/jumps is straight-up Gunlance tech. With parry-reload also existing the only thing it's missing is my beloved full-burst loop spam. I speculate the fairy is Ruby's soul, I have not bothered to replay Setalia to dig through lore to confirm this and all I have is faded memories of it's notes and only know fairies/seals are related. Others speculate the barricaded door might be apart of DLC if it gets a steam release.
Yeah i thought of the gunlance but i was more referring of the lag and endlag of the combo attcks

Pretty top notch for an H game but either I got the bad ending or I’m dog shit at interpreting stories . That being said anyone know how to get through the boarded door on the right and the fenced off door on the top left of the hub ?
