Well, good job on finishing the game. Despite my gripes with the story it was cool to see it end. I wish you luck on your future projects

On a seperate note: I kinda feel bad for Derek thinking about it. Besides almost instantly getting replaced by Nicole when MC enters the field, he was treated like he was a nuisance to her the entire time. So much for being the love of her life, he sadly lacked the power of being the main character.

Would have been nice for there to have been a chloe ending considering we got that scene 'eventually' But I do think the two endings make sense considering there was only ever two paths to begin with...
Maybe a second chance two or a spin off story where the mc helps chloe in whatever she is doing in life and needs the mc's help and they start forming a relationship hahaha I know wishful thinking lol.
Sad to see it end but really enjoyed this game and look forward to your future games bonghits420 MaksB

Holy shit.
This is not the worst game I've ever played. The setting is decent, the premise has promise, and the characters are hot inherently detestable.

But mother of God, this game has some of the worst writing I've ever encountered.
My gripes in the review I wrote were more about how little choices matter, but when you get to dialog, sudden escalation of tension, threats made, etc, the writing falls apart. When you meet "uncle bob," It's like a 4th grader tried to write a drak and gritty crime drama.

I like this game, but in my opinion it ends too soon. I was hoping for a relationship with Chloe and Ashley, but no, they were just girls on the side who then live their own lives and not with us.
And Diane? I also wanted to create something with her. But no.. Dev decided that Diane and our father would make a couple and prevent us from a relationship with Diane, I was very disappointed here because I like Diane, and here without any possible decision, she and Virgil are a couple, eh.

I'm not saying that the game is bad, but I would change a lot.
But overall, thanks Dev for this game, it was nice to play, good luck with your next project. :)

For a second I thought you called it the worst game ever and I wanted to disagree with your hyperbolic statement, but then I reread your post.

I agree with your qualms, and your review for that matter. I don't have a high standard for the writing of a porn game but I was still really dissapointed here. It's not a secret at this point, but the writing is really the game's weak link and makes characters like Nicole look like a bipolar mess. Especially on the unforgiven path that flip flops around the entire time with its really half assed blackmail plot etc.

For what it's worth, I still enjoyed my time and I think the Dev can only get better.

I got the feeling in the last update that SC was coming to an end, once the Love and Hate path started to become both connect there really wasn't much to do. At least the Dev didn't milk his project and knew when to end it. I also saw Chloe as nothing more than a little sister so I'm glad the Dev didn't force a random relationship between her and MC, Congrats.

Thank you MaksB for this game. I had a good time playing it. My only regret is the fast paced ending and the weirdness of the harem ending. It sounded a bit strange that two girls that MC almost never encountered decide to live with him and two other girls, and eventually marry him. I'm sure that a bit of more "after story" would have been beneficial there.

Nice game anyway, and I will be following your new works.

It's over. Not really the ending I imagined but not a bad one either. Renders were great as usual. Writing was really weird sometimes. Like the characters have autism. It's alright at other times.

But I enjoyed playing it and I am glad that the dev ended it. My best wishes for his next project.

Anyway, what did Derek do to deserve all this? He was a loving husband and father, helping MC, never did anything wrong and earned the money for his family, yet his wife rejected him because her son was hotter. MC even mentiones this some times, yet it never really pays off. The divorce was the best thing he could do. Derek.png

I haven't finished the game yet. I'm honestly a little caught up in playing it just to see how much more it can fall apart.
From seeing a few posts here and in reviews, I already have some ideas where things go.
So, this is an incomplete list of things that, I think, would have made the game better:

1) Romance with Chloe. Pretty, sweet, kind and loving. She's probably the best written character by far. She's absolutely perfect for a solo route, to choose her and only her.
instead, the game is so fucked on who you're trying to fuck that she gets relegated to a background character.

2) A reason for mom/son. As things stand, all signs point to "your mom's a whore, kid." If there was supposed to be something redeeming about her, beyond her looks, you need more buildup. A reason to connect to her. A reason for feelings to SLOWLY develop. Not "My mom is hot and I think only with my dick, so I'll risk everything to hit that," and not "wow, my boy has grown up so much! I can't believe how much I want his dick inside of me!"

3) Either a reason to hate Derek, or a happy ending for him. Maybe he's a cheater? Maybe he's impotent, stressed out at work, and hits his wife one night after drinking? Who knows. But if we want to pursue mom and ruin this poor dude's life (and hurt his daughters in the process), we need a reason to feel he has it coming (even better if it's a reason that makes sure his daughters don't hate us for what happens).
Alternatively, he seems like a decent guy, OK looking and still in shape. He works to support his family and makes good money to see them taken care of, and the story treats him like shit. I'm reminded of the dad from MILFY city, and how unjustified his wife's treatment of him is, to the point that she, hot as she was (as well as the titular milf) was my least favorite sexual/romantic choice. So, give the guy a break. Maybe Carol's mom and him hook up and are happy together, if you pursue your mom. Maybe, if you reject your mom, you get her to appreciate her "true love" better and she not only never cheats on him, but their relationship is better for it. Just... something. Something other than the "he's the token background middle aged character you're going to cuck."

4) An Ashley path. Non-sexually, a bad relationship with your mom could lead to the two of you commiserating, forming and understanding, and being friends. Sexually, a bad relationship with your mom could lead to the two of you giving into an attraction to each other, while she gloats that she gets what mom wants but doesn't deserve. Whatever. Just, some path with her, where she is a choice, even if not sexual.

5) Carol and Jessica. Without having finished the game, this is the choice that probably exists and I just haven't seen it to completion yet, but instead of two slutty girls, who are decent friends, that you become FWB with, maybe a threeway relationship would work.
And it could be better established earlier on. Maybe they were a couple, and Jessica doesn't care that Carol likes to fuck guys occasionally, and even watches sometimes, but you appeal to both of them so they want to bring you into the relationship for real?
Alternatively, the game needs a path forward so that you can disregard the two of them, or have them as background characters you're friendly but not sexual with, so you can pursue other paths.

You have the setting you need, and the plot. Yes, they've been done before, but if some effort is put in, they can be done again with some success.
You have characters, that honestly work in the setting as provided, and don't even need personalities to be tweaked much.

What you need is a better plot, better writing, branching choices, and a game that remembers and respects those choices.
Because I'd like to argue that much of what I wrote is probably what people came into the game hoping to experience, and were a little shocked, not just at its absence, but as to how shallow the actual game experience is.

Oh, last issue?
For the love of God, make ass eating an option. I don't care that the option, complete with animation and CG, is there, for players who want it. But that is, very much so, something some of us have no interest in. It is not some affront to the artistic integrity of your grand vision is have an option "lick her ass" or "focus on her pussy," and to have the scene play out more or less the same, with "my tongue being rammed up her asshole" content only there for those who choose it.
If you want that choice to be taken, add an extra affection point, of an extra CG or two, or a few lines of extra dialog, to "reward" taking the less vanilla choice.

I shouldn't have such a high standard for writing, but I feel like, if someone has the skill to make attractive character models, the patience and ability to program out a game, and the vision to create the characters, personalities, and plot of a game... it just frustrates me when they can't stick the landing, and write such weak content.

I think the biggest reason for how harsh my critique has been is because... I also think the Dev can do better.
He laid an excellent groundwork. Character models, setting, basics of the plot, and key aspects of character's personalities, all worked. The MC is decently relatable, and even the characters that seem unlikable also feel like, with better pacing and writing, they could evolve into something much more redeemable.

There's also why we play these games. I'm chasing a decent story, with taboo sexual elements but believable romance options, because that's what I like. Just... porn? That's easy and takes minimal effort. A well written character, where it is rewarding to progress with her, and the feelings the MC develops in the game seem earned?
So much more worth it.

I mean, I suppose that's just what I'm hunting for, and it is unfair to expect games to cater to that. And making games is hard (I've tried writing the outlines to some, and I was getting lost, having trouble maintaining pacing and personalities, or tangled in a web of paths), so what the dev made is infinitely more than I have made...
But it just gets more frustrating the closer a game comes to being able to tick the boxes for what you're really hoping to experience, only to see it, seemingly, utterly give up.

Well didn't Derek bang some other guys wife then married her later? Gave 0 fucks wrecking a home or any for the son she left behind to live in worse conditions. Now he cares. No "Maybe talk to that son you have from your past relationship?"

Okay, some thoughts on the ending...

I know that too often people post that an ending is rushed and we have no idea what it is like to be a developer but, that being said... it felt rushed. I really wanted some more down time with more character development and relationship building before the game ended. We barely get to know Mandy and then she is one of the MC's girlfriends/wives in the red ending.
On that, the Red ending is by far the better ending. It is weird that the developer decided to inject a modicum of realism into the Blue ending (consequences of incest and cheating which cause the severing of familial ties) but allowed the MC to marry 4 women in the Red Ending.
I would have liked to have seen a neutral ending, maybe one where he drifts apart from everyone except his sister and dad. The trauma of everything being too much. Maybe Derek and Nicole divorce and she shows up at the MC's door one night and lays it all out and says she desired him, give the player a decision to make as part of the endgame.
That's my number one issue, the endings don't allow the player to make any decisions. I am not a fan of epilogue endings where we passively click through to see how the MC fucked up or didn't fuck up his life.

Overall, I enjoyed the game and look forward to seeing what Maks does next, hopefully what was learned from making this game, along with the constructive feedback of the players, will lead to an even better second game.

I feel you. Premise and foundation are solid, that's why I'm kinda salty about the writing.

There are other games with worse writing that didn't bother me nearly as much because from the get go I knew they were just going to be straight up playable porn. This one stings because it's a big case of wasted potential.

It's Mass Effect 3 all over again! :ROFLMAO:

Seriously, I understand. I felt like the game was building up to something big and instead just ended. I really expected a couple more updates before the end. Weird that the red ending was the better ending.

Did he even know Nicole was married and on a break when he impregnated her? Can't really be bothered to replay that part. But I do know that it was Nicole's decision to cut her son out of her life. MC's dad tried to convince her, but she didn't care about sharing custody for him at the time.

Derek was still a good husband to her and a good father to her children. Nicole really shouldn't have a reason to treat him this way when she even calls him the love of her life.
