Good game so far, seems to be a nice base for adding more things.
Is it possible that bots that are on the techie or master techi role also fix damaged pieces in your inventory?
for the master techie role i would say first priority would be fixing bots and if no bots need fixing they fix parts.

i think for the master techie the 100% requirement is a littlebit strict and maybe could be lowered to atleast all parts being 90 or 95%. that way the role isnt gonna stop working when just 1% is missing on a piece.
its like your car mechanic stops working if they got a little grease on their hands or slightly scratched themself while doing the job.

as ideas for maybe future things
i guess for update of the game some stuff like a brothel or escort business could be done and being lead by a bot with the bot manager role.
different jobs that bots can do with each having different requirements bouncer, bodyguard, different jobs in the service department that would require social skills.
i think there could also be jobs could be a combination of a skill and autonomy rating with some stuff requiring 2 role slots because they are more demanding.

  • Bots fixing parts is already on my "to do list" but it's not in the next release so it will be a while, sorry. I've been putting off advancing the story for a few versions and I'm not putting it off this time; a new quest will be in 0.8.n.
  • The 100% requirement is strict for master techies and bot managers but would you have a doctor who's not in tip-top shape operate on you?   • Your escort or brothel idea overlaps with existing stuff. The bot manager sends your bots on whore/gigolo missions automatically. Someone wrote a mod about loaning bots to Robosechs, can't remember who. I'm considering having the MC own a brothel but it's on the "maybe list" instead of the "to do list".
  • Bot jobs are perfect opportunities for mod authors to go to work. A mission for techie bots is on my "to do list" but there's room for more.
  • I plan to write new instructions for missions; there are 3 ways to do it: 1) simple legacy missions, 2) more sophisticated legacy missions that call a function in .rpy files, and 3) using the new "bypass" function created in SR24 that doesn't use the information in the mission .json file and calls a function in an .rpy file instead.

just a tiny little issue prevents them from doing their work.
i got multiple with the master techie and at times nearly all of em have tiny things that stop em from doing the work.
superficial damage like tissue or implants shouldnt stop them from doing the work aslong the main structural parts arent damaged.

that would result in more ways to spend money, also own more bots.
you could aquires a new building for it, various upgrade possibilities too.

You have lots of ideas which is great. You also make assumptions and they don’t match the way I see things. In my mind the trivial damage you describe would not reduce the bot even 1%. I’m not going to debate these ideas with you, it’s a waste of your time and my time. I have a story line and plan for SR24 that I’m going to do. I’ll listen to ideas but probably won’t do most of them. There are so many ways the game could go but it’s impossible to do everything. The source code is available in a link in my signature, you’re welcome to use it to make a variant including your ideas. Who knows, people might like yours better than mine! :)

Hi man. How about to add the shops at our netconsole so we can buy the exact bot parts that we want . Also those shops like Elite Robotics, Mitsutachi e.t.c can have their complete bots boutiques or DIY KITS for a bit cheaper e.t.c

Also our private security/army bots can become a force to be recon if we get the chance...I always give to my bots the combat skill and i cannot do anything to those scums that are coming and asking for money e.t.c

Unless squirrel changed it from DSCS, the number of roles depend on autonomy level and the max is 3.

Thanks for your kind words! :) Funny thing about settings, Radnor put in a lot of them and I never use any of them. :giggle: I did change one, I always use the repeat button feature and I made it the new default. I play on my Android tablet as well as Windows but since I don't change settings I never noticed. Unfortunately I can't do anything about it, the only thing I know about Android is I click on it in Renpy to make the build. :giggle:

Also do you know how i can make my bots to have 3 roles? Only 1 specific model can do 3 roles for me not all the rest...even the S class bots stops at 2 roles and A class 1% autonomy and it doesnt go higher but an A class bot do 3 roles with S class 1% autonomy

You pointed out another setting I adjust but forgot about, frames opacity. This one is very important and affects your ability to read the text.
With all the controversy about music rights I'm not doing anything about sound any time soon. The best I can do is provide file names for music to be played in each location. If you renamed audio files to match they would play. Not sure that would make anyone happy.

mmmm.... whu 0.7.2 is initial? when i see version like this, i tell me somoting about game 73% finished....
It means I've posted 7 versions. The second number isn't base 10, you are likely to see 0.10.0, 0.11.0, or even higher.
Initial means it's the first post on it's own page. Versions 0.1 through 0.6 were posted on Radnor's DSCS page.

Sorry, reputations don't affect anything yet. They will some day. Like most games on F95Zone is a work in progress. As of now the best source of income is from training and selling bots. The BBS ('Trade Offers' on the 'Netconsole') is the most profitable place to sell bots.

Once you learn about 'Ray's Online' in the game you'll have a place to buy any parts you want. A random selection of 12 non-luxury bots will also be available there each day. A random selection of 6 luxury bots will be available every evening at 'Ray's Bot Boutique'. These are not available at the start of the game.

I am not into combat, this game is 'sexbot restoration' not 'battle bots'. SR24 will never go in that direction, someone else needs to make a variant like that. How about you? Source code is in my signature if you're interested. :)

Hey squirrel24. Good to see you branching out to your own page. i liked the game when radnor started it and i love the additions you brought after he stopped. i hope you continue until the game is "finished", in the sense that you've done all YOU want.^^
I will always follow the updates and if i have constructive feedback, i hope to support you with that.

Thanks for your kind words and support! I'm trying to stay focused and should be able to complete the story I'm telling in SR24. There's so many interesting directions one could go with DSCS but no one can do everything. Cheers!

Quick note, on the DSCS page, RE: Discord link, I tried using it, only to run into the same error that some others mentioned, where the join link errors out. Not sure if there's something on the server side, like maybe a limit on users / members, that's preventing folks from joining? Tried at least 5 times to date. I'd rather post small corrective stuff there, but I can't get access.


RE: Typos - glad to see that the "Ascendant" name was fixed. Including a few others that might be worth fixing, as of 0.7.2 code.

Missing Parts - all - description, just feels a little weird that these are the only "parts" that don't have standard sentence structure (caps, end punc.).

Vocoder - AudioTech c2 (SR24 part) - description, "human like" >> could probably use a dash, "human-like"
Vocoder - Melodia S (SR24 part) - description, "speach" >> "speech"

Powercore - Cogent 9 (SR24 part) - description, "wtih" >> "with"

Skin - ShieldTech C (SR24 part) - description, "strenth" >> "strength"

Ears - Acoustec X6 (SR24 part) - description, "Sound Sense" >> "SoundSense" (assuming brand name?)

Implants - Voluptuous (SR24 part) - description, "definately" >> "definitely"

Eyes - Irida-XR (Radnor part) - description, "preprogrammed" >> could probably use a dash, "pre-programmed"
Eyes - Oculus 2 / Occulus 7i (SR24 parts) - part name, thinking if brand name, should be either "Oculus" or "Occulus"?

If I find any other oddities, I'll put a quick update; hope it helps.


RE: Starter Difficulties - just a thought, it may be worth having a how-to guide or "tips & tricks" readme for new players. Took me a while to get used to the overall flow of the game; though figuring out some of its quirks was also part of the discovery fun for me. It's a grind though, if you don't manage to figure out to "game" the game a little.

I can put a more detailed post with some ideas if it sounds like it might be useful.
