Did you use a fresh install straight from the zip, or overwrite an older installation of the game? The latter is not recommended, just play the fresh release, your saves should all be there.
Yes, pregnancy is optional as mentioned. There are conversations with each of the girls where you determine if a pregnancy is wanted with that character, as of v0.22 at least one creampie after the conversation is also mandatory. So probably not something you stumble into if you don't want it.
Yes, I truly am a joker. But this just denotes a bugfix release in the versioning number scheme I'm using.
@BTungsteno posted the joined changelog for v0.22 and v0.22.1. Compared to v0.22 this bugfix release fixes the following:
