"You're a straight woman or gay dude who want some nice(er) male goblins to look at? Fuck you, go look at some art instead."

Since when are characters restricted to their stereotypes? A character can be whatever the hell the author wants them to be, regardless of race and gender. The problem is most authors are too lazy to deviate from the stereotype that come with male monter... ugly, dumb, rapist assholes. What if I want some hot male monsters in a game and not just be limited to rule34 forums or gay titles? Then what? Is it so outlandish to ask for a little more variety?
The problem is that for DAZ art specifically, there are only two goblin models with modern enough detailed textures. On top of that, for one of them, no penis model fits it properly (it attaches to the stomach). Unless someone is very proficient with DAZ and the models involved, they won't be fixing that issue. Then, neither of the two models is easily morphable as most morphs aren't designed for these goblin models. That's why we usually end up seeing this one as the penis models actually work for it and actually looks good like a goblin. Far better than the ones who try to morph a normal human model into something resembling a goblin and changing the skin color, which just looks comically bad.

Maybe this kind of game just isn't for you. The monster fetish is usually an ugly monster with beautiful women and that's what these games try to play into. So I don't think it's about laziness, it's more to do with the established fetishes and the difficulty of actually doing otherwise with the available monster models.

If we can have attractive, hyper sexualized female goblins (points at WoW art and some games around here) then why the heck can't we have nice(er) males too? You think only straight guys like to look at nice stuff? I'm not saying they ALL have to be paragons of beauty or have 10/10 looks, I just want some variety... and stereotypes get boring after a while.

But again, the root of the problem here has to do with the fact most indie developers have limited resources and can't always afford unique models. I'm just a little tired of looking at the same goblin model that looks like an old, shriveled up dick...

PS: The same could be said about any male monster in these types of games. Females are almost always sexualized to hell and back and males are almost always ugly... again, I just want some variety.

The unfortunate thing about these games is that it's inherently obvious when they use stock models. Nearly every game with a goblin I've stumbled upon uses this particular model. There are so many types of gobbos out there, from bestial types to more humanized ones, and we're stuck with this one because it's easier/cheaper than an original model...

Why can't we have a nice-looking male for once? Usually females are sexualized to hell and back but males tend to look as ugly as sin...
Well, we are aren't we?

Oh, the authors are too lazy, eh? Goblin & monster porn generally is a niche within the already niche fetish for ugly males fucking pretty females, and you're basically looking for something even more niche (goblins that aren't ugly). Nothing wrong with having an aesthetic preference, but calling a dev who's actually done the work to release a game based on *their* aesthetic preference lazy is kindof shitty of you.

Just look at the numerous replies that you've gotten all basically saying the same thing "ugly goblins fucking pretty girls is the whole point." Take a hint.

I don't pay too much attention to the male characters to be honest and I don't see why I would since I'm a hetero guy, if it's a male protag I kinda understand your point but the whole idea of a monster game is to have a monster. Monsters are supposed to be ugly and outlandish at best. Whether devs are using this as an excuse to use some easy assets could be up to debate but you might insult those without the knowledge to create the types of models you are specifically looking for despite all the effort put into everything else. Not everyone's got the budget and/or an entire team specialized in everything behind them. If you are talking about characters like the one in this game https://f95zone.to/threads/i-love-chasing-a-womans-ass-final-hachimaru-extreme.111855/ that's reasonable, but you're straight up mentioned 'hot'. That's like complaining you don't get served burritos in sushi restaurants.

And my point is that I would like to see some variety when it comes to male monsters in games, not necessarily done by this dev or in this title, just in general. In hindsight, this conversation might have been more suited (and better received) in a general thread but this game showed up at the right (or wrong) time and I felt like ranting on it since it was related.

Honestly, everyone's acting as if I'm threatening their ugly male and hot babe fetish, when all I'm saying is that it would be nice to see something a little different every once in a while... and that this particular model is overused as heck. (Yeah, I know, technical limitations and strapped for resources, yadda yadda...)

My preference in monsters ranges from attractive types to Lovecraftian-esque horror, the problem is that there's not a lot of choices if you're into the former. If you're a hetero woman who is into "decent" monsters (not-so-ugly, smarter, less rapist), you're shit out of luck here... most monster games who come out usually cater to you guys.

Yea with the recent rise in popularity for goblin monster games specifically, you're probably going to be seeing alot more of this specific model. People are overreacting to your criticism a bit, because you're right about the model being overused, but the options are extremely limited.

There are some examples of goblins being smarter and less rapey, but they're probably gonna be ugly no matter what. As for more attractive monsters, when it comes to DAZ, I don't think you're gonna find much luck there as most of the monsters seem to be designed to be horrific. You could make something like a demon with basic morphs with certain clothing or body mods and changing skin color, but it would be considerably less 'monstrous'.

If you'd just said "I would like to see more variety in male monsters in games" and left it at that, nobody in this topic would be criticizing you. But you've consistently said other stuff that *was* insulting to the dev / tone deaf / borderline kinkshaming to the people who enjoy ugly monster content, so "everyone" in this topic has been dragging you. And still you keep going.

Btw, there seem to be plenty of hetero women who like the ugly / monster kink as well. For example, check out [F4M] roleplaying prompts on r/dirtypenpals on any given day and you will see women posting fantasies about being ravaged by orcs, goblins, minotaurs, etc or even just being abused by fat ugly homeless dudes. Degradation themes in general have a *lot* of currency with women in kink. Just something to consider in your future thoughts on this subject.

I started this conversation with basically "This model is overused" and "I would like to see more variety in male monsters" and guess what, I still got crap for it. People thought I was attacking their fetish and decided to dogpile on me with comments like "but that's how it's meant to be", completely ignoring the point I was trying to make. One even went so far as to basically tell me to go and look up art of attractive green dudes instead.

I admit I shouldn't have called the dev lazy, after all this is their game and they have no obligation to me whatsoever, but people escalated this by misinterpreting what I said and being needlessly rude and frustrating, and I responded in kind because I got annoyed. I'm sorry. It just find it depressing that the few monsters games that do pop up are almost invariably about tropes and stereotypes I have little interest on.

I know there are hetero women who like ugly dudes but that's not the point...
Your last paragraph makes it look like you're trying to defend or justify your fetish by saying some women like it as well, if so, that indicates you still don't understand what I'm trying to say. I'm not kinkshaming you or saying saying this fetish is bad, so there's no need for you to be on the defensive about it. FFS, this goblin is in Healslut as well and he was the first romantic option I went for (as I said, I have a wide range of preferences when it comes to monsters and his personality made up for his appearance). All I'm saying is that this model is overused and that I would like more variety in monster games. That's all.

This game has potential. Good graphics and so far story and writing. However the endless grind is going to kill this really quick.

Funny you mention that, about the "nice-looking male." We anticipated that some might want to go in that direction, and so are considering alternate PCs - determined by our fan and patron polls - for future releases after we finish Book 1. One model we've found is a female goblin, the other a humanoid male who some might describe as "nice looking." All to say, if the demand is there, we're planning to answer.
