Trust me when I say I was annoyed as hell when I reached the same point over and over, trying to figure out what I did wrong from the previous play through. Mary's point system/story line is kinda bugged out for now. but as long as I found the workaround, it's all good

I did 3 playthroughs(first two until a certain point) and in 2 I did the "not recommended" way and it never bugged out for me, the third one I followed her and did all the other things the same way and it still no bugs. Weird...Trust me when I say I was annoyed as hell when I reached the same point over and over, trying to figure out what I did wrong from the previous play through. Mary's point system/story line is kinda bugged out for now. but as long as I found the workaround, it's all good

One of the LOP devs mentioned to get Mary around 70 points and then continue doing her story line.... which I find absurd.
May I ask how much points you had with Mary before doing the steps?

I don't actually remember the exact points I will give something close to it. were talk to her (2, I think) + book (15) and after she tells about the map I do the second option, it's kiss her hand I guess.
I thought I didn't have enough points so I did some quests thinkin I missed something the first time around. Second and Third I did everything like it's on the "not recommended" path the only difference is I kissed her hands everytime.
To add more to it: 2nd time I watched her masturbate and 3rd time I didn't, so I don't think it's necessary to do either.

The bug will only appear if watched Mary masturbate and her relationship isn't high enough...
Now my only conclusion how you are getting different results , probably from:
1. did you downloand any cheats?
2. Are you playing the game from downloading here or from directly from the LOP website?
Because now I'm suspecting a fix got installed? I don't know.
I downloaded the game as soon as it was available in the forums.

I downloaded even before it was available here, on pornolab where megalol is active. I downloaded the cheat after the first two playthroughs. I played it on firefox if that helps.
Btw I agree that the game developers recommendation to get her to 70 is really ridiculous, if she needed that much why make the quest trigger that early on.

Simple tasks get unlocked early on because after 1-st talk to mayor, Mary gets unlocked. Later progression with her just gets capped depending on how much you grinded the patrols. Thing is, main feature is the saloon, there all the action is! Side dishes like Mary or indians just rank as bonuses. All girls have 2! levels in "cuddling" so only limit is how high you rank.

My stats were 80/80 & I also lost. Looks like there is no second chance to do this.
It´s a real shame. Wouldnt wanna restart the game again just do this task again.

it seems to be another bug, for whatever reason I can save with firefox (seems that nobody else can) and i can try as many times as i want the shooting challenge, I also win if I have 70 dexterity so maybe is a bug if some of you can't
