Imagine thinking to yourself "i'd love to make a comment about this game, I wonder how I should join this particularly thread" ...... then jumping straight to racism.

where do you see racism.

1. when i watch a film or play a game i try to identify as the main character.
i am white, its hard for me to identify as african, indian or whatever.
would be the same when i play a game where the mc have dwarfism.
so a little guy who try to climb a tall woman. i also cant identify with this.

there is no hate, only a fact

2. people can choose a partner. friend or sexual.
they can choose what they want a tall or small, thick or thin, tanned or not.
skin collor is only a body characteristic. and everbody have there preferences

dont try to see racism everywhere

when you want to see ghost, you will see them

While you are correct that many - me included - want to identify as the protagonist of a book, movie, or here a visual novel, and you cannot choose what you like (we don't "pick" our favorite love interests, they just will be depending on our preferences), it is kinda funny how we can empathize with a green Ogre in Shrek, a space magician from another Galaxy in Star Wars, a clown fish in Finding Nemo - and yet draw the line at a normal human being with slightly different pigmentation? People accept that their surrogate is muscular and bright when they themselves are not, works as a headhunter in a foreign country when they themselves are barely leaving the house, yet somebody who could be them except for minor optic changes is not possible?

It's how they word it that makes it racist.

"I can't relate to this MC" .... Okay.

"Shame the MC is black" .... racist.

sorry i think these are 2 different thinks we are talking about.

i can feel with people no matter wich age, race or gender in stories, also fantasy folks like shrek, nemo etc.

but for me ts different in like porn game where i try to identify as the mc.

for example the last book i was reading was black zero.
its a story about more then 1 group.
in short 1 AI , 2 good people, some bad people and 1 sad kiddo.

in these book i cant identify as anyone. but i dont need it to feel with them or cry with them.
i dont need to pretent there to be part of it.

but in porn i want try to expirience different thinks which i cant in real life, like harem, bdsm maybe sex with alien folks etc. so its important for me to idenify with the mc.

Edit: and for your last part. i also cant identify as lazy, ugly or grandfather. i know there are also game with these kind of mc like solvalley school or room for rent-

sorry , i dont want to make this political but i dont like this, when people are beeing assaulted for their preferences

and also sorry for my bad english, its not my main language

Let's not try to white wash a racist comment, by making MORE racist comments.

The fact that you can't identify with someone of a different ethnicity (NOT race, the race is Human), is a deficit of your development as a person, your Limited capacity for Empathy, is a developmental problem. Your environment is most likely the culprit. By environment, I mean your family, your friends, the people that surround you. Not only that, but your inability to even comprehend that that IS a problem is also a result of your involvement in that environment.

Clearly, you suffer from the self imposed ignorance that comes from not exploring outside of your chosen boundaries. You are being mentally lazy, have auto imposed ignorance and will NEVER be a fully developed human unless you go out into the world to experience difference and learn empathy.

If you feel that an absolutely RACIST comment is not really racist, is only because YOU are a Racist. Everyone else sees it for what it is.

I have good news. Racism isn't for life. It can be cured.

Better news even, the treatment is free. It's called Education. It doesn't even requires you go to school.

Peace :(

Played through this game for the first time... What a ride. It came close to LoF on the emotional impact, which is a huge compliment. Got to pick an ending between threesome and Dru. The threesome ending felt so satisfying that I don't plan to re-play for other endings any time soon.

One point of criticism I have is about the MC's fight with Chris. I just find it hard to believe that he's ignoring her calls and e-mails, but lives in her apartment while replacing her at the college she teaches at. I got the feeling that STWA got cold feet about what the feud would be about, and dialed it down to make Chris more likeable/redeemable.

Young and inexperienced with life you are or just lucky enough if you never experienced story like that in real life. Living at her apartment is just pragmatic, same goes with college but their fight itself is purely emotional. I have experienced situation like that in my life, of course with different details and I find there noting to be weird.

They are not enemies but best friends feeling betrayed by each other (MC more) but that does not mean that they wish the worst things to happen the other side you know? It is just hard to trust again, hard to make a conversation while the feelings are still not handled in head. It is easy to do daily stuff while not thinking about it and throwing problems elsewhere but making any contact will open the wound and make you confront it (and MC is not really willing to do that "for now"). So yeah, while speaking and seeing each other may hurt, wishing best and helping in some way is still part of being friends so this is only natural for her to share him apartment if it's empty anyway and him to work for her in college.

Nah, I've been there. But when I was shut off, I was shut off. The thing for me is, if the wound was that deep that he couldn't bare to hear from Chris, how did they set everything up? For someone wallowing in self-pity like MC was... That's a huge step.

As for pragmatic, let's say he was somehow convinced to take the job, MC is rich... MC has fuck-you-money, I don't think living for free stacks up compared to the heavy emotional toll it would've been to live in her apartment, and have constant reminders of Chris. (MC was very aware of this fact when Kim came back, but didn't do it for himself?) Another factor is that Chris getting him to move and take the job, directly contradicts the problem he has with her. He felt she abandoned him when he needed her, yet took her olive branch?

Instead, I think the Marie-part of the storyline and her name change is flimsy at best. I suspect the original plan was to have Chris be responsible for something that happened to Marie.
