so with that being said ... i tend to agree with some here i have trouble playing a female .. mostly cause of similar reasons i like to stick with being a man ( like me )
alot of this reminds me of my family .. i have 7 kids that range from 24 to 46 .... 5 grandkids so far ... and 3 great grandkids .. and the wife and i have just about every case covered .. we have a granddaughter thats bi ... son that has 4 girlfriends and can't make up his mind which he wants ... 1 daughter that is married ... 1 son thats close to being married ( wife and myself are telling them to just get it over with )
and a grandson that is seeing a girl but is questioning his sexuality ( we told him what ever he decides is fine with us .. we love him no matter what he decides )
a daughter that thinks she might be a man in reality ... and still thinks and acts girly .. we don't know what to say to her .. except we love her no matter what
and the thing we taught all of them is color of skin means nothing .. its whats inside of a person that counts ... is why we have a multi-color family that we love deeply ...

score points with Kim early on, at least as far as clubbing night where you meet Lyndie and B - tell Kim you might steal B away for yourself. After you get fired at the school, DON'T go see Kim, go for a walk. You'll end up in B's coffee shop and have the opportunity to score lots of points with her. After that, I think the route just kind of naturally plays out - choose her at every opportunity - most especially when you have the chance (I think it's after the yacht party) to check on her or take Lyndie's v-card. Sucks you have to pass on that scene but I'm fairly sure if you don't you won't have enough points to advance her romance.

AB's PDF walkthrough for chapters 1-4 is very helpful getting you on the right track with B. After Ch 4 it isn't that hard to stay on track.

For many years I would have been able to not care about a response like this. I have had 3 girlfriends who were black and a black friend in high school. I did have an issue when my oldest daughter was dating this one boy. He was black but that was not the reason though it certainly got a blown up conversation in which the accusation of racial prejudice came up. I just didn't think the kid really cared for my daughter. Race had nothing to do with it, his behavior did. Unfortunately, my brother, who lives in Birmingham Alabama and in Georgia before that, decided to open his trap and that blew it up into that racial conversation. My daughter luckily was sweet and wise enough to realize what dad was actually objecting to was protectively motivated and not racially.

All that being said, I had no problem putting myself into this story. I could care less whether the MC was an alien with purple skin or black or white.... ok purple alien might be a stretch here lol.
What I do have a personal difficult time with is playing Female Protagonist games. Sure they are better looking as a rule than the dude ones, but I like to sink myself into the story as the MC and female is the one attribute I can not get into...

Anyway my point was race for me means nothing, and in an ideal world, race would mean nothing for anyone. It makes me sad to see that for some it does.

I also don't play games with gay MCs. I'm not interested in fantasizing about that sexual demographic and don't find games with those themes entertaining. I also usually steer clear of sandbox games because I don't find the grind entertaining. (Although there are a couple of exceptions: Mist and Mythic Manor two truly exceptional games) These are games that we play for our enjoyment, not to satisfy some inclusive narrative. How would you feel about playing a game where the MC was a pedophile? While they are appropriately censored around here, does anyone doubt that there is a market for such themes?

There are tags for female, male, and futa protagonists. Obviously they exist because those differences are important to a significant percentage of consumers of VNs on this site. There are also gay and lesbian tags for the same reason. Why should tags for asian, hispanic, black, east indian, native american protagonists also not be available? Those categorical notations don't matter to you nor to me, but if they matter to some portion of the market why should they be unavailable because you're offended by the notion?

I suggest you look to your motives in admonishing others based on your feelings over what kind of porn content others prefer to consume.

There is not a hint of misogynistic intent in my post. I stated that I can not really get into a female protagonist. That in no way is misogyny, it is simply stating that I can not project myself into a female role. Perhaps you should think more carefully before accusing someone of something without reason.

Two things:

(a) Those tags could exist. However, there's only so many tags you can use to generalize over games before it gets too detailed and clumsy. As I said, there are other aspects which could stop me from identifying with the main character, down to eating bacon and eggs for breakfast (I personally cannot eat eggs and have developed quite some reaction to seeing or smelling them) or - more relevant to many - being a student or criminal. And unlike "gay/lesbian" or the sex of the protagonist (but admittedly like "big tits/ass"), this will not influence the general happening within a game. So while it might be important to some, like many other aspects can be, it still is on a different level. And then you have to consider for practical purposes how many people on this forum would really care for this tag. My guess - but admittedly just a guess - is that a "redheaded LI" would be more important to many.

(b) But even if it were differently: the whole phrasing of the complaint (which by the way and a bit off topic is just one more example of somebody throwing in some statement without realizing there is a discussion about precisely that ongoing - not unlike the "update when?" post when it just was answered in the post directly above) wasn't just "I cannot identify with a protagonist with attribute X which I don't share with him" but "that black dude" which sounds a bit derogatory. And pre-emptively to the question of "is Cartageno an SJW?": maybe - but am I more of an SJW than the guy fighting for the right of others to request tags?

Before all I want to tell you I'm not a native English speaker so I hope I will not be misunderstood.
I feel somewhat guilty that I started the discussion on the topic of the main character's race.
You should remember that there is much more to this planet than the western world, with different cultural and historical backgrounds. and with different levels of tolerance.
I come from one of these places. The presence of a black or asian person is a rare occurrence and there is no history whatsoever of interracial conflicts.
So there is not a matter of hate or despise. It's just about not "clicking" when trying to fill the shoes of some other race character.
Why is that important to me? If I need sex in real life I go and get it. If I want some fap material I can visit one of zillions of porn sites out there. But when I play a game (even a shallow porn one) I want to feel involved, otherwise the devs efforts are useless. Yes, when I choose to play a parody I can be a red octopus or a green martian but not when it comes to something that is realy close to real life relations.
What I mean is that the devs should continue to implement their own stories and ideas but, as some of you stated before, we need a larger tag system or a different one.

as you know by now ex moved to their hometown (miles and miles away from la) so if mc chose to stay with aoifie then its highly unlikely that they'd meet.

The MC has a telephone chat with his friend who gives him a heads up that Marie is heading to LA. I was expecting something from the Dev in this part of the story, but at the end, nothing materialized.

I have to admit that B. wasn't one of my favorites, but her ending (non cuck queen) was in my opinion definitely the best of them all and the bed scene made me shed a few tears as well.

The thing with B is you need to overlook what is said when meeting her and how she acts but it can be offputting for people.
