Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a good weekend!
This week, I've been fully working on several adult scenes for the next update. So far, I have three scenes almost ready with plenty of renders, this time I've been adding more first person views as that was missing. Right now, I'm working on their animations which will take some time. I'm not posting the images here to avoid spoilers, but I will be updating the sneak preview folder on Patreon soon, I will let you know in a post.
I've also been uploading progress on these scenes in the Patreon section on Discord while I work on several scenes, in case you want to check them out and even give some feedback. I post often there as it's easier to use a spoiler tag or sections, as sadly, Patreon does not have that feature and I don't want to spoil it for people who do not want them.
An event that happened this week:
I had a small inconvenience this week as one of my main SSDs died. I got a blue screen of death, and the PC wouldn't boot until I removed that SSD. Luckily, it was the SSD and nothing worse. It seems the SSD came defective from the factory, as I bought it less than a year ago— a 2-terabyte SSD where I stored my textures. Fortunately, I learned from the last time this happened, and now, since I had a better budget, I have several backups, both online and on some HDDs, so I could recover all of it. It's been a good investment to keep all my files safe in case of any emergency.
When this happened to me for the first time more than two year ago, I didn't have a budget for any sort of backup, so I took a big hit, having to rebuild everything. Luckily, thanks to that, Anais, Alice, and other characters turned out better than how I originally created them, especially Alice. She was very different before releasing the game and it seems people like her final design.
But luckily, this time, I had everything backed up.
The skins of my characters are the things I protect and back up the most, as I made them myself with a lot of effort, so I'm glad they are alright.
Something I've learned since I started this is that storage is one of the biggest challenges when creating games like these. We work with a lot of heavy files, and sooner or later, SSDs tend to die. And they're not cheap either.
So, it was a good idea to invest a lot in storage.
Sorry for not making this post earlier. I was installing Windows and backing everything up again, as that SSD failure corrupted my Windows as well. So, I've been setting up my workshop again.
Thanks so much, everyone, for supporting this project! Without your support, I don't know what I would have done. And I really hope you enjoy the next update that I'm working on. Also thanks so much to all the people following this project.
