Aha, I guess the problem is that instead of it using relevant icons, it uses a generic icon, so I misunderstood what the icon meant. I did say it was probably something obvious. Thanks.

Yes almost every one of these games have been stolen by china and selling them as there own.

Hi a1fox3 , I was replying to a guy who translated it into Italian, in this thread. What do you think about Italian translation or other translation then? Are you using the download in this website since you show up in this forum?

Audlt game is not an open massive market or many people playing it in any place. As what I saw, it was some people downloaded the original version and tranlated it after a long time the game was released in I don't know where, then gave it out for free. I can't say no one selling translation copy but personally I didn't see such thing by myself.

From that game I saw, I traced back to Patreon to NSFWspace last September. Tried to register an account, but failed everytime no matter where I used my computer then and later. I didn't know why. Maybe it has its limit about area. Felt bad about it, of course.

Then I searched to know this forum. Honestly, today I still don't know why some of the threads look like people put on the download link (it doing no good to the developer of course), and some threads look like the developer releasing his owned game.

I don't play game a lot so I didn't dig in to understand this forum. Life is days like this complicated. If it causes me doing wrong or feeling bad, I prefer to choose not doing it.

Edit:

I just realized that you are donor, respected user and Jr. uploader. I don't exactly know what it meant, but I think it means you did great thing to people here and Patreon. I respect that.

There great and as long as there place here then your good to go.
(Sometime the dev has other places they upload to and if you put it there also is great.)

What I was referring to is a lot of these games get taken by people in china without the dev knowledge and translated and either say they made it or try to sell it in china.

Well, if you saw that kind of "say they made it or sell it" with your evidence, it is ok for you to say so.

I didn't see thing like that by myself, so I can't say it existed or ever happened.

Hi Ranger, I am sorry for what I said make feeling bad. I understand that is at least not good or any helpful.
Why would it make me feel bad? I mean - the only way to get more support for the game is more people seeing it, playing it and if they like it, try to support it. And don't worry if you couldn't register with Patreon. Financial stuff is heavily regulated and it's not anyone's fault that countries have different regulations and sometime things don't work the way we'd like them to work. I'm glad that you liked both my games and I really hope you'd like the third one as well.

Some developers see their games being shared as "piracy", others like me see it as a way for people to find the game. And even though I don't share it myself here, I'm fairly certain that most of my supporters come from this forum and also most of the interaction between me as a developer and the players happen here as well. This is where I find out what people like or don't like in the game, some cool ideas I got from people here (yourself included) got implemented in the game as well, so I see my games being here as a win-win scenario.

And I see someone taking the time to translate my work into another language as an honor. For me this means that they must've really liked it, so what you said that there is a Chinese version of the game is not making me feel bad, but actually it makes me feel good.

Yea, my point wasn't about doing fan translations, that's great, and besides this is a piracy forum anyway lol. I think any dev/artist who comes here looking to get their content removed is going to get laughed off. But even pirates hate IP thieves, especially in a fledgling industry with as few protections as indie adult game development.

On an on topic note, the game is pretty straightforward; I played with the script open so I don't remember if there were some easy to miss triggers that I saw in the script. It's grindy at parts but relatively inoffensive on that front. The only thing that's easy to miss pre-endgame are the Earth communication triggers.

About the IP thieves thing, anyone can censure it as long as you want to and you have solid proof at the same time.

Without solid proof, it is basically like saying Monte Carlo was behind the Alien and Predater attack, no such popular selling point to the audience.

About the game Space Out, I always said it was featuring extremely brilliant concept with A-class movie grade production.

The story rhythm was stunning, and the change of characters' mentality was mindfucking and natually at the same time.

The design of daily work and power-bank were interesting and make the game more realistic, meaningful but NOT just nonsense sex scenes.

The script writing made every character so alive, and humor shows the writer was sitting at higher level and watching down how the player reacted.

It created some kind of atmosphere that player could believe that it was reasonable for MC to think so and do so in such a story background.

Every sex part in this VN has its reason, trigger and wave by wave pushing higher. It is not just a simple adult game, but a very rare game experience to jump into the space rabbit hole with MC.

The Earth comm

That is exactly how i found f95, found a game in a weird site, tried it, it was an mess, search the same game and found it here
and DAMMM... now i can stay away.

Well i do wish someone will make a more realistic game, i mean, i had a crazy life and lived crazy and funny sexual events.
but we do always find the same routine (not always).

BTW, what will be your next game?

I recovered this game as intrigued by another title (water world) which I later discovered to be the sequel to this one.

I must say that I liked it, it entertained me pleasantly, even if I had to pass over 2 defects, of course not serious, but which in any case worsened my gaming experience.
a flaw is in the plot, and it concerns the whole issue of the voyeurs from Earth, who in such a serious situation only think about getting a couple of home movies .. it's really an aspect that clashes with the whole game, and that remains not very credible from start to finish.

the second flaw is purely in the game mode and concerns those long periods in which you really have no idea what to do but mechanically repeat certain actions, without even knowing if they are useful or not. nothing major but quite boring.

for the rest I appreciated it, a non-trivial story, with real betrayals and twists, good dynamics between the characters, and really "good-looking" women.

now it's up to "water World"

When I played second time, I realized it was not how it looks like but totally something else. It was revealed at the conversatio with Jack. Maybe you missed that info. :giggle: I thought it was not a perfect but good enough twist for the whole story.

Yes, that part was supposed to make player to wait and feel the time passing, I think.

The dev has a strong persistense to have the player to feel the realistic detail, so he made the eating, washing and sleeping in Water World. Yet 99% of the players don't have the patience to repeat the E/W/S for many times. Therefore dev gave the "cheat mode" later.

A lot of players seems couldn't get the idea that dev already gave them the choice of most realistic way and most easy-skip way to play the game at the same time. And they just keep complaining.

The only bug I found in Space Out was:

After Amilia took RBC's chameleon suit and went out, if MC goes to holo room/beach, you can still trigger the scene which Amilia shows up in hot.

So, if you want to avoid this bug happen, you must not go to the holo room/beach while Amilia went out until she came back.

Yeah, the way Spaced Out was coded didn't really account for characters being present at a certain location, so there might be bugs when a certain character is not at their usual location during specific periods in the game. This was fixed in Water World where each event (quest, talk, look, etc.) has a set of "conditions" that need to be met in order for the event to trigger, so those kinds of bug are hard to appear and easier to fix if they do - I just need to add a certain condition or fix the current ones. Island 34 will improve on this by adding more precise set of conditions - not just who's where but also what they are wearing and what they are doing. This way the characters can be doing different things at a certain location (e.g. they can be taking a nap or watching TV at the same location) and different events can be triggered depending on this (e.g. you can perv on them or watch a movie together). Unfortunately this is extra coding effort on my side and it might not be ready for the end-of-the-month release of 0.1, so there is a chance I release just the "story" part in the first version and add the sandbox at a later stage. I don't want to release a half-baked sandbox framework, because it will be harder to change it later, so I decided not to do it if it's not ready.

And honestly I don't get why most people here complain about games requiring any amount of effort on their side - apparently eating, showering and sleeping once a day is too much for most of them. I get that this is a porn game, so it doesn't need to be too complicated, but after all if you prefer to just watch and not put in any effort, I think you are mistaking a porn game forum with porn video streaming site. Anyway, in "Island 34" the so-called "grind" will be minimal and the story will be mostly linear VN style but the "extra" stuff will still be in a sandbox environment, so the others will still enjoy a bit of walking around, trying different stuff and getting to non-story related events.

Also, if you don't like doing those things, there are lots of people who are kind enough to make mods for a lot of games, and even if there aren't, it's very easy to put in a bit of effort to learn how to remove grindy mechanics from most Ren'Py games if that's not your cup of tea. Sure, there are gross offenders in terms of grinding, and those deserve criticism, but people who complain about any game mechanics in a game should probably just look at image rips or find some other medium to get their fix.

Glad you're learning, I did notice the big jump in your ability to use conditional and threshold variables between the two games, haven't played too far into Water World yet but you've done a good job in terms of making things more clear from what I've played. But I also changed a few things cuz I always do lol so maybe I'm not the best person to ask about base mechanics =P.

As I said before I come from the world of strongly typed languages and Spaced Out was my first project using Python (not to mention RenPy) so I was learning on the go. By the time I had a rough idea how things should be done in RenPy/Python it was far too late to change things for Spaced Out, because this would've broken it beyond fixing. Anyway, with Island 34 I hope it will be even better because there are a few things I've already changed compared to Water World.

I get that's your thing (you nickname being FullSavesBeggar and all), but what good this will do to you since there is no gallery in the game . If you just want to check the images, you can unren the game and see all of them.

I think this guy appears to be on some sort of crusade of principle not practicality, lol.
