There is no stat building or grind. It's a very interesting story and soooooo many characters it's hard to keep track sometimes. You will definately not get everything in one play through. However there may be some characters you may not want to interact with so that will cut down on some you would have to do.
The catgirl is my peronnal favorite.

its a great story that at times seems convoluted..you have to read slowly..lol....lots of sexual encounters from the mild to the wild..he hits alot of kinks..you can go straight gay bit of both...up to you..you are not forced into a kink you do not want..you have all the choice when it comes to woohoo...i agree with @Vainglorious about catgirl..she's my favorite also.

I'll just reply to a few of you while I have some time (I have to check my settings, I don't seem to get email notices anymore).

Can we have lesbian sex with ashe ?

Not yet, though it may happen eventually, I know a lot of people do want it.

This game has one of the worst story out there. The story is very complex and hard to follow. Also, the choices in the game are useless and only good for getting gallery images.

I'm sorry you find it hard to follow, I know it gets a little convoluted at times, it's a lot to juggle on my end too and I try and make it work as best I can. (See below when I go more in depth on 'going somewhere')

As for choices not influencing stuff, we're bringing more of that in now and the choice in Episode 5 is going to be affecting things more in Episodes 8 and 9 a great deal.

shit, i liked this game and the futa-elf girl... before she turn into an super weird face girl.
i miss the good feeling of the beginning fo this game. i dont know where it goes.... but it go far and far away from me.

well, that was a great adventuer at beginning. i maybe will come back if my favorite futa girl return to her first appareance and the story actually goes somewhere.
also if the udpate actually are updates... i mean.. damn the long time waited for udpate and all get is bugfix

A lot of the character changes are due to the change in tech from Generation 2 to Generation 3 models from Daz, where the bones and morphs all changed and the old Rin face would look absolutely weird more often than not with the new rigging. We still tried to keep Rin a bit more alien in the face with the way the eyes and fact structure present but things like the more flat nose Rin had in Episodes 1 and 2 just didn't work. Add in the fact Rin is androgynous and non-binary (as the whole Jurion species is) I decided to inject a little more masculine features just to bring out that aspect as bit more, but kept it subtle. I know that doesn't help your disappointment in the design evolution, but I wanted to at least explain the reasoning behind it.

Regarding 'going somewhere', part of the difficulty I think is the fact that 'getting somewhere' has different meanings to different people. For some it's exploring the main universe and unraveling the threads there. For others it's the intricacies of character backstory. For some it's more and more sex scenes. For others it's a more direct narrative flow to an end point. They can all be intertwined and play off each other, and I try to balance all of these as best I can, but when the game is so choice driven and has so many branches through an episode, sometimes one of those wins out over others. Also, sometimes things may be too subtle or too lost (I can't see the forest for the trees). Just another reason our next goal at $1300 is to bring on an editor for the dialogue and narrative flow (and work in some animations but that's not what we're talking about here.)

On the note of it being so long for a small update, this update was all done in my spare time as error reports and feedback came in. Episode 7 was, and still is, the main priority and is taking a lot longer than I expected (mostly due to the action scene images and rewrites), but I didn't want the bug fixes and other QoL changes in the Gallery to have to wait until it was done.

Kinda like the game so far...I sort of wish it was actually more of a explore planets/sandbox sort of thing though than a linear story. But a lot of story and It's interesting so far.

its not like its a big deal ... gen3 poses can be put on gen2 with just a few fix/tweak on some parts (like fingers)...

meh, i even use gen2 with gen8 poses, its not alots of work to fix the poses, its already pretty much done.

That's a real shame. I honestly felt everything BUT Rin looked better in chapter 1 and 2. I especially preferred the "dress" uniforms and combat armor from chapter 1 and 2 (like in the logo image in the op). That looked pretty bad ass. The ship itself is the biggest let down in Chapter 3 and onward. The walls went from looking like they belonged in a military vessel to looking like they belonged in a cheap plastic toy or "fun land" prop. That, in theory, is just a texture issue... but it's very jarring going from chapter 2 to 3 as it is. Also the ambient light level in the operating spaces of the ship is far too high. I can see the crew quarters being like that... or the recreation facilities... but not the bridge.

But, it is what it is. I realize you had reasons for moving to Gen3. And re-rendering that many scenes now would likely slow down updates even further. It's just a shame, that's all.

I'm also going to add my voice for lesbian Ashe sex. Dat tongue. Unf. Her reaction to finding out what the commander saw in her pod vision (in the "we fight" path at the end of chapter 2) is so knee-jerk and hostile that it reeks of indoctrinated homophobia. Which, in that same scene, Ashe points out that the society she comes from heavily frowns on lesbian encounters (if not all homosexual encounters) and she admits to only ever having had one sexual encounter of her own. So it seems to me that you've left a rather large opening for it to turn out that Ashe is letting cultural bias make her afraid to even consider her sexuality honestly, and thus it's possible she simply doesn't realize she has the capacity for being attracted to other women. *shrug* But I also realize some characters are just straight.

I do actually intend to go back and re-render Episodes 1 and 2 eventually (and re-render a few specifically bad images in other episodes) but that's not until at least the season is completed because, as you said, it would just completely delay any upcoming episode more than necessary.

Also, just going to say now, I have no intention of pulling a Lucas and completely changing the tone or feel of a scene just to add new stuff for the sake of adding new stuff. I may do away with the paper doll style stuff from the first act of Episode 1 when I do re-render the episode however (and fix the uniforms on K-7). That being said, I do not consider the work 'sacred' where nothing can be changed or updated or made better, I just don't intend on adding stuff just to add stuff. When we get an editor on board if he wants to change the flow of a scene a little, or change lines to better capture a character tick or trait or something, I'm all for it. I'm trying to decide if I should give up on Kani and restart from the beginning so I can focus elsewhere or... i dunno.

Sorry, somehow either you edited the post or I just plain did not see the part about Ashe (I'm thinking it was the latter). I was speaking strictly about the part I quoted, I just didn't even see Ashe.

Ashe's people being as strict as they are about sexuality is a journey for her, it's going to be a slow change but given her drive to 'explore' I think it is extremely likely she can become biseuxal.

As for Kani, she is still struggling with pain from her own past which is limiting her, but she'll be back to a more free and open Kani sooner or later, and maybe even happily do three/more-somes. We'll have to see.

That being said, in certain situations any character may 'jump in' into a sexual situation they might not necessarily be ready for, it really depends on the situation (heck, I did a drunk sex thing with Michael just because I wanted to break the ice with the character and make it possibly be a goofy start to something with them and the Commander). I think it's patently clear I don't do the sex/porn stuff first... my concern is always trying to define characters by things other than their sexuality and their sex lives if possible (which is why Adam was done such a disservice, last time I give someone else that much control over design and plot). However, I will admit that the sex/porn stuff is in the top 3 on my list of priorities when writing the game, it's just not #1 all the time.

Lastly, I totally get Ashe's tongue being a thing, I was so happy when I found that prop and thought up those scenes with her. And of course she's not the only one that I use that prop for, Tese has a long tongue and I got to use it in a commission like two or three months ago.

Crap, I forgot to put in the Wiki you need to have had sex with Ashe before in Episode 3 for the modelling/painting to happen. The reason she is willing to shower is she kinda has a break from her shell right then (pre mission stress and all).
