Rather than addressing every specific concern, it seems like a good idea to go through my overall plan with you all (and I'll be posting something like this to the Patreon page as well).

This patch represents a pretty big turning point in the project. Now that the animation update is "finished," I'm officially done with major changes (barring the unlikely event of a stretch goal being reached). Everything going forward breaks down into three basic categories:
  • Content (bondage clothing, events, and cutscene environments that don't have significant code attached)
  • Polish (upgrading the economic report, fetish interview, main UI, etc)
  • Bugfixes (of which about 70% are related to character display and animation).
The goal is to finish this project in six months or so to coincide with some IRL events, but we'll see. I think it's possible, but code is notoriously hard to estimate, and I'd rather go over that deadline than leave it unfinished.

The learning process in these last couple patches has made progress slow, which is stressful with the tri-weekly release cycle I've been trying to maintain. Because of that, I definitely pushed some stuff out before it was ready, which I regret doing. Luckily, I don't expect anything still on the list to reduce the game's stability, so it should all be uphill from here.

Thanks everyone who's stuck around this long for your patience. We're in the home stretch now.

Yeah, take your time and dont put too much stress on you. Personally I'd say its better if you take some more time and potentionally miss your deadline, instead of rushing things and delivering an unpolished game (cough...fallout76..cough). Although, to be fair your game is already far better than Fallout ;D

are there still any plans after you're done with stationmaster for that sewermaster spinoff you were talking about a few months ago on discord with being a monster in a sewer. starting fresh seems like a good way to get excited again.

If I may rehash previous suggestions, once bugfixing is done I would like to see more non-sex stuff added. As in better economics. While I love the idea of Startopia + Porn, the porn side seems to have gotten 90% of the attention and the rest is falling too far behind. Just my opinion, of course.

what exactly does the extreme content mod do and is it up to date?
The mod is always up-to-date because it contains nothing. All of the extreme content is already inside the base game, which in turn simply checks for the existence of a mod with that name in it's directory. If it finds such a file then it unlocks the content. Otherwise it remains blocked.

The file itself, however, can be literally anything. Save your grocery list as a text file and rename it "extreme content" (or whatever it's called) and it will work just fine.

I read your Patreon post StationmasterDev from the 21/11, sad to see that the project is coming to a end. But I understand, 2 year with the same project can be enought. I hope it is not because of some stupid haters, who don't appreciate the game just because theyr special sex position is not on it. It is imposible to make everyone happy, you can just do your best and you are doing that.
Good luck with your IRL thing.

What makes you say that? There has been no indication development has ceased already from the dev and he just posted something to the contrary on the 19th. Devs don't release free games on your schedule, they do it on theirs.

A Quality Update from our Lord and Savior DEV.

As with every Update and for maybe new Users dont forget to put your Extreme Content Mod in the directory where the Stationmaster .exe is ^^ (Only the ExtremeContent.mod file in the same root as the Stationmaster.exe)

This patch went pretty smoothly, so I ended up combining it with a bunch of polish features and bug fixes that had been stuck on my list for a while. I also switched file hosts, so please let me know in the comments how the download goes. Enjoy!

Changelog:

Decorations
  • Added new tab between "Furniture" and "Artifacts" for "Decorations."
  • Decorations are a new furniture type that can be placed in any room, but don't require you to find them through conquest first. There are about 35 decorative objects in all for now, but the plan is to add more for the final version.
  • There are four categories: Grunge, Retro, Chrome, and BDSM. Each one will give a different feel to your station, and I'm planning on having special events that will trigger based on what your dominant aesthetic is.
  • Each category has several furniture items, giving you much more flexibility in how you decorate your station.
Club Improvements
  • Club now has dance floors for citizens/tourists, raised dance platforms for slaves, slot machines, and a DJ booth.
  • Added new assignments for "Club" and "DJ." Club dancers will dance on the raised platforms. In the next update, they will also wait tables and deal blackjack.
  • The DJ will run music in the club, giving a bonus to income.
Economic Report Improvements
  • Improved clarity around beds and assignments.
  • Added the last month's financial summary to a separate column.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some assignments to display internal names instead of actual names.
  • Improved look and feel.
Misc Improvements
  • Milkers now collect semen as well as milk if the slave has the right genitals.
  • Added "Sperm Sold" to leaderboard and slave stat summary.
  • The icons for selecting rooms have been replaced with much clearer ones.
  • The "Slave Idle" ticker notification now tells you what the slave's assignment is.
  • Added six new implants that let you change a slave's sexual orientation over time.
  • Slaves can once again be sold immediately after conquest.
  • Changed assignment panel UI to work better with the increased number of options.
  • The window and sculpture from the lobby can now be placed in any room through the decoration tab.
  • The banner is no longer an artifact, and can be placed like any other decoration. Its appeal bonus has been modified accordingly.
  • Idle slave ticker notifications now tell you what job your slave is assigned to.
Bugfixes
  • Fixed a bug that caused some character objects to stick around after sex in a somewhat disturbing way.
  • Fixed leaderboard sorting.
  • Made male eyes 30% less terrifying.
  • Fixed a bug that caused terraforming to behave unexpectedly.
  • Private, General, and Cowboy outfits now properly apply to men instead of women.
  • The duplicate "Ranger" outfit is now properly called the "Guardian" outfit.
  • Sleeping animation should no longer clip through the floor for some characters.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the game to unpause while using the settings menu.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the news ticker to be visible in the galaxy map.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the confirmation window from showing when you tried to sell a slave from the slave list.
  • Fixed a couple bugs in the Flotsam event chain.
  • Fixed a bug that caused audience pits to freeze when a male character tried to enter.
  • Fixed a bug that caused audience fights to be endless.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented PC nipples/genitals from displaying on the inspection screen.
  • Slave sorting options should now persist instead of being reset to alphabetical when you open the menu.

Added @tyssart "Mod to Manipulate Ingame Stats for the Slaves" (Some other user implemented this mod but i cant find his original post so im sorry) And ive updated it for Version 0.26a.

Just overwrite this file at this location " Stationmaster_Data\StreamingAssets\Text "

Tested ingame and still seems to work ^^

Edit2: Will remove Original Link and Replace it with own Mega links

Yeah, I posted the last update... like... a week ago. Your uploaders are just slow. Development is definitely not stopped, and will be continuing for at least another six months.
What a Coincidence DEV ^^

It was my fault not to Upload more Regulary, im not slow ^^ Is it true? Will Station Master end? What do you think is the "End" Version number? Will it be finished with a last stable release?

I'm not calling it done until it's stable, hence the fuzzy deadline. As for the link, do you mind removing the original and just using mirrors? They have harsh bandwidth limits that aren't going to last long here (reuploading to Mega soon, but haven't yet).
