Kate's change in her personality was abrupt...
Why practice with a random guy....
I mean let's be real for a moment...
We all love the shy innocent girl that appears in every single game but there's one huge issue with that: She's innocent!
The shy innocent girl unfortunately has the downside that you'll only have romance and it will tak a lot of time and hardship to get in her pants, which is the goal in those kind of games. If you're super unlucky you guys having sex only occurs at the end of the game.
Furthermore, since you guys are in a relationship once you start dating you won't be able to go out/have sex with someone else without ruining your chances with the shy girl.

So giving Kate a twist was a nice touch to this story. This way you had the chance to have the shy girl and experience her claws quite soon.

facepalm to steam.
Maybe I need semaphore flags...Let's try this another way. What was it about a 'schoolgirl skirt' that made Steam upset? I mean, it's porn, so what about a short skirt is going to make them upset? I'm not trying to be annoying; I am genuinely asking for some explanation. I don't want to make a game at some point and run into the same exact problem.

Because it was a school (not sure wether high school or college) it might contain characters under the age of 18 which in a game heavily focussed on sex would've been problematic. I think I don't need to say this but there was never minor content in this game nor where there ever any plans to include any
THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING. The cryptic shite from others was getting a bit tedious. I am presuming that the dev had a vanity card explaining how every imaginary character depicted was over the age of 18, right? Presuming such, was there a contradictory argument that said otherwise? Was the confusion over university/college/secondary school ages for stuents which is different in different parts of the world ?

steam in all their wisdom thinks that girls wearing school uniform is underager (below 18), 1 game needed to remove scenes where teachers fucked 18 years old schoolgirl (she wanted better grades so she got fucked by 3 times older teachers) and other game where ~twice older mc fucked (and other things) schoolgirls in uniform had to remake of graphs so those chars look older and no school uniforms. incest is ok.

can kill/beat in-game chars on various ways but heaven forbid if girls who look bit young and wear school uniform then it is BIG FUCKING NO.

if wants to make school themed game then make it happen in university or if college then forget uniforms and make chars to look like young adults.

I mean schoolgirl skirt and uniform are fine as long as its clear all the character is above 18 year old and not in high school. There is plenty of "schoolgirl skirt" in BDik, College kings and other games and Steam has no problem with that since all the character are in college.

I don't know man. I already explainned it in this thread a long time ago that Steam rejected his game and once you're rejected you're not allowed to try again. I didn't ask any further and I already said everything I know from what the dev told me.

Kate's Personality definitely changed too much...
When I mentioned that, people got upset.
It was good up until they changed certain characters personalities.
Characters? I don't remember any other changes like that.

And yeah, she did change a lot. But thinking about it maybe we didn't just know that side of hers, it could have been ok if they continued the story.

Kate became a sex crazed person...

since when steam is a platform 4 PORN games?
why even try?
Huge games like BaDIK for instance are there.
It helps you immensly with reaching a wider audience, plus you can cut your game in multiple parts and therefore sell them each as separate games or DLCs, which is still less to pay than Patreon.

Because it = lots of money. Most developers are Steam or bust, especially now since Itch.io cut a lot of it out.

Steam only cared about school girl uniforms. Mostly people that get rejected are for the high school setting/school uniforms, or characters that look underage even if it's just a flashback, even though Chasing Sunsets has that, but some have got rejected for the same.

Yes, Steam is good for dev's, that's why you see so many trying to get their games on the platform.

Money Talks, unless is successful scammer ala scamstor then big bucks are on steam.

GOG has porngames too (dunno about their restrictions) but steam has biggest audience.

You're not that far off with the whole "schoolgirl skirt" topic as it symbolizes young teen girls under the age of 18.

Yes, but the fact that Steam couldn't differentiate between schoolgirl skirt as fetish and actual underage girls wearing it is just egregious.

It's unlikely that they look too deeply at it. It'll be surface-level judgment and they won't entertain the idea that they could have been wrong after the fact. You have to be very careful with your presentation because you have one chance with them.

Being a DIK (among others) have been smart in making the college setting explicit and a vital part of their game's identity so a schoolgirl skirt there might raise a Steam staff member's eyebrow but they'll maybe hesitate because of other more prominent surface-level information that offers additional context.
