Meanwhile Subverse was Kickstarted in 2019, began early access in 2021 and is nearing completion with about 2 updates to complete the main story

Wasn’t dunking on you, just pointing out some historical facts
Can’t tell you the future, the purpose of Subverse was establishing their own IP (as well as fulfilling the game milestone they passed back in the old Patreon days), and having their animators learn UE4 for future films.
While the story will be complete at 1.0, I don’t think they’ll be completely done with the game. But at the same time they’re not likely to keep all the game devs they have under contract.
So this is just my own prediction, but I’d say they have most of their animators get back into filmmaking (back then it was generally one main animator per flick with DC overlooking it all), while having a smaller team continue to work on game things. Quality of life, the backer DLC and such.
Once they (hopefully) get their own support site up and running and they have stable monthly income again, they can get back into the full swing of things.

Well the game is kinda meh, the scenes are pretty short loops and not really what i expected from a "porn" game
But i doubt they will go back to making movies, else they could have said something already. Not like that question doesn't come up often enough

Ah. Some people just find it hard to move on. Or they just prefer to stick with what they know. Also he has a habit of announcing projects, doing one thing in them, and then putting them on hold. There's some peeps out there aswell that really doesnt put any effort to improve at all, and its been years!
Glad I'm not the only one that thinks this. Well the subverse stuff looks "cheap" from the graphic. Code Valentine was there peak after that the got worst with every movie that followed.

Hope for something else. I'm gonna call it now - the next movie FOW releases will be under a minute long, behind a paywall, and will feature exclusively humans/humanoids engaging in entirely consensual and very vanilla sex. I'm gonna say it releases late 2024 to mid 2025.
Either that, or FOW never makes movies again.
