It's very average in the plot department compared to this game, especially after playing this one, The Author feel like a major downgrade.
The Dev really improved with this one.

I thought they are both comparable in terms of plot. There is no epic overarching narrative, a huge mystery to solve or some grand scheme to unravel. If you are looking purely at the plot, they are both just really nice slice of life stories that focus on the MC and feature a bunch of charming characters.

I do think that overall Unbroken is a lot better. The visuals are significantly better. I also expect the characters to be more fleshed out here given it is a lot longer than the first game so you have more time to develop them. But that being said I think that the first game is definitely worth playing - it is a lot better than many of the games I have played and it has the added bonus of being completed.

The MC suffers from magic dick syndrome and most of the plot are there to serve the sex scenes and not the opposite.
If you like porn flicks plots, then fine.

Hey all,

In and out, five minute check in.

Renders are 3820 of 4011 completed. I didn't get as much done as I would have liked this week, still a bit under the weather, but I'm thinking I should be finishing up all the posing this evening. So probably around 4050 total for final render count, give or take a bit depending on testing and whatnot.

Animations are about the same place. Considering sneaking one last one in while things are rendering, but that's just if I have the time. Nothing that needs to be waited for.

Beyond the numbers it's just standard end game items. Coding, testing, fixing in a nightmare loop until we're ready.

Was hoping to have a concrete date for you guys this week, but behind here I would be comfortable with that. But next week I'll have a more definitive answer for everybody so the speculation can die down.

Off to finish those last poses, thank you as always for the support and I hope you have a lovely upcoming weekend.

Getting harder to find previews that aren't spoilery, such is my curse it seems. This week we get moments from one of our more wholesome scenes, with a little bonding, a little wholesome and the image of Elspeth flailing her feet as she leans over to grab things, which amuses me. Maybe this is leading to something... special? Or maybe she's just your bestest bud because she gives you beer and keeps you from catching cold?

Played the first one and while it was good, this one is a big step up though.
Intriguing story, interesting characters and an MC that's actually got some variable depth to him. It actually feels a breath of fresh air among the usual ones.

Finally played and finished The Author (already played The Unbroken, didn't know The Author existed before), and I can say the producer really upped his game, environment-wise, really liked the story of the first, like the flow, twas kind of easy/fast at times, too easy kinda, but still liked it, now with The Unbroken it's definitely more refined, the renders, the music (great addition, still find it weird to play an AVN without music nowadays, always start a playlist in the background, but still), and development, which is one of the strong points of The Author, manages to still be better yet, the flow of the story too in my opinion.

But one thing is certain, I hope we see Brent, Chris (they both are childhood friends with Valentine after all) and the one we chose at the end of The Author, later in the game, just for the kicks, love it when there's some kind of logical continuity between games in the same universe.

Hey all,

Few days late, I apologize.

Renders are 3932 of 4057 completed. Render count seems to be holding at that 4057, give or take a bit. So that should be about where we're standing when all is said and done.

Everything else is fairly standard, getting everything coded in tested and what not. Bit harder to give more specific information on that obviously so it's not very exciting to share.

I was hoping to have this released next week, but I really don't think that will happen. Just lots I'm still trying to finish up, I absolutely bit off a bit more than I should have with this update, I should have spilt it in two. Lesson learned I guess. I appreciate y'all sticking with me.

Now I'm aware that some people often up their pledge or sign up for the higher tiers so that they can play the update ASAP. If you did that this month, and the update bleeds into August and you have to drop your pledge for whatever reason, I want you to go ahead and get in touch with me here. I'll make sure you still get the access that you would have, I want to do my best to make sure you're taken care of.

Agreed. Also it should be pointed out that this update has >4k renders. Thats an insane amount and I think that the ~7 month wait time is more than justified given the size of the update. Thats an average of ~570 renders/month which is a very high number especially for high quality Daz renders that this dev produces.
