Let them whine about Chinese localization and it's best to ignore it, it's not the first time. Being a Dik or College Kings forums for example ... ![Sleep  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
For fun sake, I started to browse some other adult games on steam, and damn. It's like a Chinese invasion.Let them whine about Chinese localization and it's best to ignore it, it's not the first time. Being a Dik or College Kings forums for example ...![]()
It didn't age well ^^
Mostly positive now at 9811, so even with the Chinese insurrection. It's still good tbh. If people start browse the bad reviews and see a bunch of Chinese demanding localization as source of a bad review. Bells should be ringing for obvious reasons..It didn't age well ^^
You jinxed everything.![]()
Apparently they got some mechanic in place after the review bombing than happened back with Metro Exodus. Those Chinese doesn't seem to be the most upset about localization being simplified, or traditional Chinese, but that they are not acknowledged as MAINLAND Chinese... SFOW like... we don't see any traffic (statistics) from mainland China, which kinda obvious as they hide behind vpns. They want special treatment for being mainland Chinese...At this point Steam should alter the score of Subverse by not counting these chinese reviews. Best example of "off-topic activity". No matter what do I think about the devs, letting these people as they please will only show them they can bombard any game without consequences. Idk if Steam does it on it's own or if Studio FOW must contact Steam to apply this filter, but something should be done about it.
Unless they were promised chinese translation in EA, bought the game just for that and Studio FOW went like "sorry, no chinese language until game is finished". Then they have right to be angry.
You're right, we should stop talking about such a touchy issue.Could we please stop talking about the chinese?
Maybe talk about the game, possibly?
youd be surprised how fast that can go when you’re paying people an actual good salary. They ain’t doing minimum wage bullshit lolBro they got £1,668,626 from Kickstarter alone. Pretty sure they can afford paying for more developers, if they are a "small team" then it is by choice.
>.> now you’re just doing that on purposeYou're right, we should stop talking about such a touchy issue.
So...
DOES THIS GAME HAS NTR CONTENT ?
They did hire more people, but there is a limit you know. You look at that number and think its a fucking lot. It's not when you consider wages, production costs else etc. People doesn't work for free you know..Bro they got £1,668,626 from Kickstarter alone. Pretty sure they can afford paying for more developers, if they are a "small team" then it is by choice.
USA being THAT massive is impressive. At the end of the day they’re a small team, so they can’t afford to be developing and translating at the same time, no matter how popular the demographic is.
also as much as they’re claiming they did the majority of the campaign, stats say otherwise

Anyway back to talking about cool shit. DEVA mode. Wonder if it’ll get a sailor moon or dbz esque transformation sequence
I mean it’s being made so it’s not like…done yet. Or is real game meaning ‘what I wanted it to be’If Subverse was more of a real game I'd agree.
Name one....Mechanic-wise.
A lone developer could make the same quality of gameplay as StudioFow currently has.
Sorry, but the artwork in that game suck balls compared to Subverse..Breeders of the Nephelym. Plenty of game mechanics made by a lonesome developer.
Detroit Become Human had a development budget of 30 million Euro... also...Honestly, it feels like StudioFow should have made Subverse's gameplay similar to Detroit: Become Human (interactive movie). Would've played their strenghts better (animations, voice acting, fun plot, etc.)
At least for a first game. Until they have enough experience to try other more complex genres.
I understand you don't want a game, you want a interactive movie. SFOW wanted to make an actual GAME, and good was that...You are trying too hard to miss the point.
Try reading again, but slowly this time.
If you like shoot em up and tactical grid comabt, the gamplay is fine enough. If you hate such gameplay it's not. Just as people dislike fps, rpg's , or whatever. Not everyone can like the same things.I'm saying that the gameplay they chose wasn't the best for their current experience in making actual games.
Which is…0. So what should they have started with? They picked a simple form of tactical grid combat with basic SHMUP gameplay. Both of which, despite their simplicity, many players have found to be fun or challenging.I'm saying that the gameplay they chose wasn't the best for their current experience in making actual games.
