Far as I know Valve never made any adult games Steam is just a distribution platform that allows distribution of games with adult content. The quality and standard of said games come down to whoever make them. If Subverse end up make it good (sales), then more game studios might start take a gander at the genre with somewhat more serious effort.

EDIT: It's not good. Plenty of better games that do porn and story much better.

they are vanilla as in they have basic sex stuff, like straight/lesbian/sometimes gay

covid gave them a very good excuse to be lazy and behind in work lol
last year all the devs that i followed for their adult game content underdelivered
every single one of them

i wont be taken as a fool, so naturally i cut my support to them

it means the normies at steam are used to low quality H stuff
so you can throw barebones shit at them, they'll consume it happily

I really like the video game, but I think it lacks sexual animations (well, it's a beta), I hope that in a year this game is complete, I thought I was going to beat Fallen Doll: Operation Lovecraft, but it was not like that.

thats the main problem here studioFOWs fan base knows what they are capable of doing but on the other hand there is a lot of people on steam that bought the game and (Im pretty sure) they dont know that they made those movies so they are doing this to get more people to play the game as for the money they have to pay all the VA and the ones who made the music etc

You wont have to pay in the future unless they make a "deluxe edition" with other stuff that you can buy if you want. I dont know anything about their update schedule
