If a model is extracted i believe that it becomes same as any model made in 3d software. That is how all the animations with game models based on existing games are made as far as i know. I would be shocked if all these Witcher, Batman and Overwatch models were remade from scratch. As a person who have no idea how models work, is it possible to steal a model from Honey Select and put it into UE4? I mean, not make new exactly same looking, but transfer it as it is? I have some doubts about it.
I dont think so. Models made in different programs will have different coding. Extracted from one they cant just be inserted into another, since numbers will not correlate to visual parameters. And Witcher, Batman and Overwatch models are made from scratch - they are just look alike, not a carbon copies. If a model is extracted i believe that it becomes same as any model made in 3d software. Models made in Maya and Zbrush can be exported and imported between themselves easily in OBJ or FBX format. That is also correct for Fusion, Max and etc. UVs come in the same file. Not sure about textures and maps. I've seen models from Doom 2016 opened in Max so i believe when they are extracted from games they still do have OBJ or FBX format. Did not know about Witcher, Batman and Overwatch models though. That is indeed means that i do not some part of the whole deal. I do modelling but never delved into extracting part of it all.I dont think so. Models made in different programs will have different coding. You can't pitch Subverse as a triple A title experience when consider the game industry as whole. You have to pitch it up against other games in similar genre (adult games). How many games in that genre had similar funding? That is what you should compare against imho...My question is, who thinks Subverse is equivalent to a AAA experience? Tactical RPGs and space shooters are literally the epitome of anything besides a mainstream experience. If the animations were supposed to be the draw, even they can't even be called spectacular, as there were already Unreal Engine quality animations out on the internet for free. So aside from its gimmick of being a visible porn game on Steam. Because the aforementioned genres have titles that provide FAR better than what this game provides.
Outside of this initial hype I can see this game dying off quite quickly and fading into obscurity, if it can't do anything do distinguish itself.
Do you feel this is attracting mainstream attention? More than any other porn game on Steam has. Really, I can't tell. Because there's been porn in the bestseller section before. And on that topic in the latter section do you think 'real game devs' are better? Because there's been several games that been dropped and forgotten by 'real developers' because their studios found the game wasn't successful. Just as games here suddenly end up cancelled.
No, Triple A is a phrase the game industry started to use to reflect the money spent on development... You know like the 600 million USD budget rumored from GTA6...... That make it a Triple A. Also Triple A doesn't reflect actually quality of a game. Anthem, F76, Cyberpunk... list goes on and on and on...Triple A quality is quick, snappy, and addicting gameplay. Subverse is anything but quick and snappy. While it maybe addicting it appeals to different audience than the crowd that fans of this game seems to think will buy into the game because of its production budget.
Nah, you can see over a hundred pages of people trashing this game without being banned. You just did something else to get banned and you did it again (hint: ban evasion).Oops teehee, didn't realize normal users can call this trash out for what it is but a "new" profile gets censored. Good moderation! Also for free
Not necessarily. There's zero push to "jump" into the adult market now based on a game brigaded deliberately by 4chan. Some middle level publishers >MIGHT< be more open to a "naughty" game, this is not any kind of sea change of any type or magnitude. This is actually a good thing imho, the more it can captures mainstream attention the more it'd also attracts actual professional game developers & publishers to think that porn games has very high demands but low supply and give making porn games a try.
The problems i keep encountering with all the good games i watched here is either they're abandoned, in a feature creep hell, just scam, or not handled by professional dev (some were even solo yolo indie dev). They oftentimes got the good ideas but none of the competence or pragmatic drive of a real game devs.
Consider the world we live in atm, the money to be made in the adult market increased a lot though. People seeking new venues for their outlet....Not necessarily. Actually it transform them into internal unreal format.Edit: UE4 also imports models in the same FBX format.
Was it? Only in shmup bossfights i was forced to replay.Man the game is stupidly hard at times.
Maybe, but it wouldn't really be a market worth investing billions of dollars into. You have two Markets. AAA gaming which is a billion dollar industry and Porn which is a billion dollar industry. Sure there may be a market for adult games, but I doubt it would reach a point where it would reach AAA status of having a budget the likes of some of the biggest games on market. I just don't think adult games have reached a wide enough yet audience where a company would be comfortable enough to invest millions of dollars and expect that investment to triple in revenue.Consider the world we live in atm, the money to be made in the adult market increased a lot though. Triple A games isn't really a huge part of the gaming market other than income/profit. Mid level and indy games make up the bulk of actual number of games. No, we won't see adult games with the budge of the likes of GTA series, Assassins creed and so forth, but that we could see double digit million budget adult games is not that far fetched.Maybe, but it wouldn't really be a market worth investing billions of dollars into. Cough..mobile gaming...coughTriple A games isn't really a huge part of the gaming market other than income/profit. Mid level and indy games make up the bulk of actual number of games.
I'm not a native english-speaker so bare with me. Doesn't it import the FBX model first and then transform it? I mean you are probably right that it transforms it but how does it contradict my sentence?Actually it transform them into internal unreal format.
Mobile gaming is for one purpose. Put a straw into your wallet and milk you... I don't really see commercial adult games make it big on the mobile platform anytime soon. Also if you look at gaming as whole. Games on mobile fall under a own genre. You don't really have them compete with games you find more typical for pc. Like on steam, epic etc platforms..Cough..mobile gaming...cough
So we can say that Illusion games are the Triple A games of porn games. No, Triple A is a phrase the game industry started to use to reflect the money spent on development... Triple A experience could just as well translate to go to a fancy restaurant spend a fortune, get served several dishes of minuscule portions you end up doesn't even like the taste of. Leave hungry and drop into a local McDonalds to pick up something because you still hungry...
Yes, most popular mobile games are something like "raiding on the shadow of a legend".Mobile gaming is for one purpose. Put a straw into your wallet and milk you...
