I'm having an issue where the curser isn't showing in pandora. It's still there and works but it's invisible. Anyone know a fix?

I haven't used Mega with this game, but just in general I've noticed I will frequently have issues with Mega on bigger downloads unless I use Edge (my regular browser is Firefox). So I try to use Nopy (much more reliable) but when I do have to use Mega, I use Edge for it. Just something to try.

Actually no one. Production is not consumers problem.
and neither is how much funds they raise on KS, make in steam sales, or how much a creator pull on Patreon, or whatever monetizing going on. A consumers problem is the choice to buy or not to buy something. Or pledge support, or not.

Or when it come to the pirates life... If something is worth to download or not... no once forces you to do anything you don't want to.

My 2 cents after finishing the updated version.

I kinda like what Studios Fow gave us and I'm overall positive about this new version.

I think it's short of content for 7 months of waiting but devs explained that it's was the first big update and that next updates will come faster (something like 4 months between each update).

Regarding porn, even if loyalty quests are not implemented yet, I have a more positive view about the Pandora system.

Main reason are that the 50 + scenes they added, brang more diversity to the sex content. Adding Elisha + scenes with multiples girls is a nice thing, it's less repetitive. However there is still "filler" scenes that feels like "low-effort" here ( Killision not pregnant / Lily swinging)

Regarding game content, I would say that the balance between the main story and side quests is a bit off. I wouldn't mind about having twice as less side quests if they added one more mission like the "planet infiltration"

Space battles especially are repetitive and missions like the previously said "planet infiltration" are a breath of fresh air, but are too rare.

I prefer ground combat to space Battle, however I have 1 big problem with it : you don't know the spawning position of the enemy squad for their first wave.

It adds randomness to your spawning choice and it can become really unfair since for the hardest fights being able to quickly hold the first enemy wave is really important if you don't want to be overwhelmed by the following waves.

I noticed that I had several technical problems with the last update :

- Sound and imabe not sync during cutscenes
- Characters models staying in low resolution during dialogs

Didn't had this before.

Comparing Subverse to AI Shoujo, Honey Select, and Koikatsu's overall gameplay is a bad one to make. Those games aren't sold on their story content, they're community enjoys it for it's sandbox and studio mode, which is a far more advanced version of Subverse's Gallery feature. Comparing Subverse's steam success to Illusion game's steam success is pretty dumb too. It shows you know very little about the games your comparing. The vast majority of it's playerbase does not play the Steam and Fakku versions of these games, as they are censored and made semi-incompatible with the mods the player base uses. Everyone plays the original Japanese version and not the international ones.

If you want to compare how it handles its sex interactions and posers, then that's fair game, but then Subverse would be inferior to that. They're both catered to two completely different kind of players.

EDIT: It's also pretty weird you guys want to compare it's steam sales but were so adamantly against players suggesting Subverse have features similar to these games or take inspiration from them. We're not allowed to compare Subverse to other hentai games and mention it having inferior versions of their features, but we are allowed to compare Subverse to them in convenient situations that looks like it did better?

A good number of the new and old scenes were already duplicates too. They're just swapping the girl and mantic models, along with the camera angels and sometimes some minor limb position changes. I think this is totally fine, and in fact, something I prefer... if done correctly and not sneakily. I'd love to be able to mix and match the girls with mantics in positions that aren't broken. Why would you brag about there being a bunch of new Pandora scenes if a good number of them are just model swaps. These aren't even all of them, I'm just too lazy to compare the rest. about 30% of each girl's gallery is a model swap, while Ela is the only one with mostly new stuff.

On one hand - more is always better, on the other - they kinda getting less and less imaginative. No wonder they cant write interesting sidequests.

I would not completly agree with that since this patch still added new ideas for the scenes (Futa scenes and also multiples girls on MC scene) + might be me but overall I prefered the scenes added by the last update than the scene given on the first released of the game.

Think it might also be related to the fact we don't have a lot of scenes and characters yet.

If they add 50 + scenes at each update, even if 10/50 scenes is simply a swap we still get a lot of new contents.

Just hoping that the "upgraded scenes" we wil get with the loyalty quest will be worth it.

Because after watching it, I have the feeling that the one custcene involving sex between Ela and MC in Story Mod was really disapointing compared to what studio fow used to create in their movies.

Those (Futa scenes and also multiples girls) are obvious ideas aren't they? The reason they add swap scenes are either they are running dry on completely new ideas or they were last days effort "to build update mass" so to speak. Both in my opinion are not good signs.

The problem, in my opinion, is that now all that they can work with is an animation itself. They cant add much in a story department.

Until there's an option to skip the mini-games this is a hard pass. He describes the game's issues very accurately - tactical game is lousy, sex scenes are disjointed from the story and the story itself tries to do to many things.

There is an option if you loose 3 times.

Well this one (v.0.3.0) will be more of a bother to run on linux than the overall enjoyment the "gameplay" can give, - because we are all here for that, right? RIGHT? - due to way the crack works.
Someone got the gog launch date? and will the gog version be DRM free?.
I kinda like how stupid the scenario is though...

Did you download and copy the crack over too?

I actually can run it on linux, not with the proton-GE I was using on the previous version but a custom wine bottle, weirdly I got a "game has crashed" msg, but if I ignore it, it seems to work. I may investigate further if I have time.

If you want to compare success you need to compare with what already out there in the nature of adult games on steam, that had great exposure on the steam platform. Must hurt you doesn't it? That even with your doom & gloom, Subverse doing quite good on Steam after all, still being in early access.

What my opinion is about gameplay for AI Shoujo or Huniepop2 is just that, my opinion. You might think its the next best thing after cheese, and of course you are free to have that opinion, just as everyone else is free to have their own opinions. Opinions like assholes, everyone got them and they split down the middle...

I find it weird you try to apply a narrative of "you guys"? Am I suddenly multiple people or something now? If you want to compare Subverse to other games, no one stops you. If you look at the games/VN's and what not on this site, just about everything steal and borrow something from another game. Heck, you have creators stealing the assets from other games and repackage it as their own. Take movies, tv series, comics, whatever. They all borrow and steal ideas from each other.

But you're not doing it fairly. The Illusion games don't sell well on Steam because those are the intentional versions of the game. They are always released a whole one or two years later, have entire features taken out, and aren't compatible with mods. You just took a random name and compared it to a steam release without even knowing a bit about the game. The bulk of Illusion game sales come from the Japanese audience and none of those customers are going to wait a year AFTER the JAPANESE version of their game was released to buy an inferior international version on Steam that gives them extra language options they won't use. The bulk of it's western player base pirates the Japanese version the game. Of course you're going to look like it's a failure by checking its Steam sales.

That's not the point I made and you're clearly doing this on purpose. Ai Shoujo is a sandboss game, not one focused around story and adventure. It does not even have a story to begin with. What people play Illusion games for is it's Studio (Gallery) mode, which allows them to create their own scenes, stories, and animations. You endlessly create characters and do things with them, and share with other people's.

The only games with a story mode by Illusion that were released in the past 4-5 years is Koikatsu and Play Home. Play Home never got localized (Steam release), and Koikatsu's localized version censored the game by removing it's entire story mode.
