Because they can't threaten to have their Patreon go down, that's already gone. Also not every company even bothers to go after smut makers. If that were the case we wouldn't be seeing all the smut that's come from Remake and Rebirth. PMMSFM, BulgingSenpai, Dezmall have all done animations with FF characters.
Even should they, they have a previous suit with Blizzard they can use as precedent. Parody is protected, but so many folks don't fight it because they don't have the time or resources, that's what bigger companies generally count on, that they'll just give up and keel over.
It doesn't take much, just scammers or keybord warriors to file a civil lawsuit on behalf of reputable companies.
Third-party companies making unnecessary charges in the name of easy profit.

FOW Studio became known for literally trivializing/RP characters from famous franchises.
The difference is that now they are not a company that makes hardcore clips on erotic forums...there is much more to lose than deleting some censured posted clips.
And it's no wonder that in the current situation companies are supporting themselves with lawsuits against other companies or unfortunate civilians who try something.
