These games just take so long WTH an update worth a few hours of content takes a whole year less or more not the issue here how is nobody talking about this specially patreons....
Not to mention they straight up reworked the first game with 6 chapters that don't look bad all for a story overhaul i think it was.... is it not too much for you?

Yep, updates for these games are being developed for quite some time. Yep, an update usually adds a few hours of content to the game in average.
Nope, complaints like yours are posted here on a weekly basis.
Yep, WIAB is being reworked from the beginning.
Yep, the first two chapters of SG are being reworked (first and half of the second chapter are done already).
Yep, there are many people who find the old WIAB quite good. Still, this is a very debatable topic, but you better discuss it in the WIAB thread.
No it's not. I will wait as long as the developer needs to release the next update, and I will enjoy every second of these few hours of new content.

We could start an entery new post about the morality of the issue but, the reality is, nobody give a fk, exept for the zealots... patreons have lose any sense of time, before u could have work like this being made by one person in 3 or 4 months, with money, one could think that the time between updates will be shortened but, dev need to know how much their work is worth, and so they push, if u can release ur product in more time and still make the same amounth of money or release less animations per update, or less renders, well, they needed to push their patreons to know, and thx to that now there is a sort of standar of 6 month per update, then u have devs who keep pushing, i guess they are trying to make it 1 update every 10 months, or every year, as long as the patreons are willing to keep supporting the project, that is how is going to be. U can go an watch some artist, nowadays some of them made 1 page per month, like i say as long as there is people willing to pay...its fine to mention this now and then, and people do, but remember, the zealots! the zealots will crush ur comment with their facepalms and their fingerpointing
, i mean is good fun, but pointless, nobody gives a fk, so take it as u enjoying some free porn, or... a good story with nice renders, and call it a day, the only people who can do anything about this, are the patreons, and they dont care, so just enjoy the ride until the game is done or until the milking reach kingdom of deception level, so everyone in the comment section start to complain

Everybody who thinks that a developer do too little or too much is free to try himself to make a game. I'm sure then he could appreciate work than that developer puts in his work.

He releases the chapters people enjoy them support him and everything because they want faster updates and better content now what do we see here? thousands upon thousands of dollars every month being pumped into their bank accounts with no change whatsoever i may not be able to make a game like this! well to be honest I wouldn't care to make one but we see many other examples from much talented developers that really care for their fans and supporters and don't scam them (part of the problems are the fans that allow themselves to be robbed even though they don't care about the money) but to say this game is any different you are being delusional alot of better games with lower financial support with more frequent updates and much more content exist out there and that's where your comment here becomes irrelevant...

I don't think ocean is a scammer, he is just a very talented artist who is god awful project leader...he still after 5 years of development has no idea about this game ending, which characters are going to be romance options nor the route this game is going to take (at first game was going to be dark than he said it will be happy than month ago he said that he will also include dark path imao)...
Him also already working on another project as to not get burned out before the season 1 (of possible 6 i think) is even finished while also being mr pleaser towards his patreons (how else to justify terrible decisions of ruining mila model and making that infamous monkey nami dance scene) just tell us that the chance of this thing ever getting finished are pretty small and if it does quality will most likely go downhill as he gets more burned out cause of doing two huge projects at the same time and reworks more and more stuff in order to kiss his patreon supporters ass

Ocean gave kudos to the freelancer who created the outdoor stadium environment where the MC, Zara and the rest of the basketball team hopefuls did their first night practice.
Ocean hired a freelancer to make the phone app but, in this case, this person blew it and Ocean had to take it back.
So - Ocean hired someone who did not live up to the hype/do their job... because that never happens in RL, right?
There is a consequence for development speed when someone hired to do a job does not get the job done:

Steam success will create not just a huge resource bump, but also provide the following (at a minimum):
Exposure to a huge world-wide audience
Notice and potential teaming opportunities with high quality freelancers who want to be part of Summers Gone, Season 2 and beyond
Notice by indie music performers who can see the potential of teaming with a creator like Ocean - in-AVN credit and the chance to grow their own audience by piggybacking on the success of Summers Gone.
And - I'm sure I'm missing other advantages since the above are just my 'off the cuff' thoughts as I write this.
So:
Milking = NO
Scamming = NO
Creating an awesome story that I am happy to support = YES
