For example, the Katie that Ayua mentioned is the Katie from WIAB, but around her 40s, right?
I thought I was really lost on things, but as I can see, Ocean still has to reveal a lot by developing his VNs, eh? I'm feeling a bit better now. Though I just saw this on the fan wiki:
"Bella wears a perfume with the same scent as Helen which consists of Amber/Iris/Neroli"
Where did that reference come from? It's these kind of things that are making me feel completely lost, you know?
I just replayed SG after all this time. I think it's time to replay WIAB as well then. Though, as I can feel, it won't help that much...right?
I think the thing to remember is it is a fan wiki, so fans try to be accurate, but they also want to appear to be the keepers of secret insider knowledge. I personally enjoy the easter eggs for the fourth wall continuity - they're often nods to things that the people in the scene will have no idea about - there is no way that Nika will know what Helen's perfume smells like, so it is asking us to either a) find some obscure connection like a conspiracy between Bella and Helen, or just assume that it's a timeless brand and it hints they share a certain sense of elegance or style. I can't remember it being mentioned like that, and if scents were mentioned, maybe it's just Ocean's favourite? Could just be a popular expensive brand that every well off girl in Wollust wears (so everyone, but Nami, Mila, Maja and Victoria?

). I don't think every detail is part of the plot, but I do enjoy trying to work out what are red herrings, what are details for the sake of writing style and what is genuinely deepening the plot.
I replayed the original WIAB and the current one to get a feel for what things have been kept so far and what's changed. Still can't guess. From the dev logs for WIAB though, there are some fairly significant character changes, so the plot is already moving into different territory, so the old version only gives indication of some of the broad themes (and places) that might remain consistent, rather than directly following the plot.
