It's 100% certain that Ocean could have replaced the music with something else, but would you really want him to delay season 1 (and the following season 2) simply to rework a few limp dick pics to new music? Because that's the likely outcome. Ocean weighed up the amount of lewd material (not much) versus the money he'd spent on the music (a decent amount). I can understand that, and it's probably better in the long run for the story - having wider support, and season 1 as a gateway to season 2 for people on steam who might have the adult tags blocked makes sense as a business move. Success on steam will mean better stability for the development of the game - resources so he can do more outsourcing (like he did for the sports field I believe) so he can develop faster without reinventing the wheel.

The animated movie thing is almost what Ocean is trying to do. That's his style. It didn't start that way, but how many other games have as many renders, or take as long to read? It might not need it, but that's the game's aesthetic. Might as well ask why Nami is the Cheeto while Bella's a blonde. Some choices we have no influence over and we have to take them as they are.

Even if you just calculate with the lowest tier, that's more than 4k a month (and I'm pretty sure many people are in higher tiers)... in reality I think it might be closer to 10.

He spends the hard-milked coins on completely unnecessary things, buys some stupid music licenses, signs up for some idiotic writing courses, and I’m not even gonna start about the endless upgrades of his favorite video card toys. Well, why the hell does he need cards for five grands of euros each, when the experts from this thread have finally proven that the 2070th copes with rendering just as well or even better. And if you take used ones, for example from miners after a few years of mining ethereum, then it will be almost free.

This is one of the big issues currently in the game. But it ends up being an expected consequence of the Dev's decision to include no sex scenes in the first season. To compensate and offer some lewdness to players you now get nudity scenes in the most awkward situations. The most egregious I remember, being Nami in the bathroom and the porch talk with Nojiko. Ruining an otherwise amazing scene with crotch and cleavage shots of Nojiko feels tacky and weird. It's out of place fan service that ends up hurting the story and it's characters.

There are moments in which nudity appears to be justified, such as Nami undressing in her room after the MC follows her, upon her finding out that everyone hid Nojiko dating Nick from her. Or Bella being naked in fetal position next to the bed after running to her room when Amber accuses her of hurting the MC. Even Vanessa's testing and teasing before the tennis match at Nick's. Those are scenes in which nudity isn't straight up gratuitous, instead being used to show vulnerability like the first two I pointed out.

Then you have dumb shit like Nia fondling her breasts in front of a guy in the gym, the Zara "wardrobe malfunction" in the basketball game, Nami parading around in only panties at the Frohn's and Vic sitting there with her tits out like its nothing. I mean, I know the girl can't walk but she can damn well drag her ass and grab a blanket or a top to cover herself.

The fact that it is 63 months with barely even past season 1 or big story progression is enough to be seen as a red flag and dev working at probably 20% of what he can do. Just milking. We would be lucky if the game is done in the next 10 years with such progress.

And yes, if you emphasize on novel, you'd at least have something to look out for, such as a good plot and progression, even if there is nothing lewd, but nothing is captivating, and it is a slow burn. If it was an actual book, it wouldve been thrown long ago.

63 months, with Final product ±12000 renders (excluding cinematic renders), it produces 190 renders per month. And many game devs put out monthly updates around that (even if reduced to +10000 renders, it's still around 160 renders). And that amount is extraordinary given how high the quality of the rinder Ocean produces.

WiaB's most recent Dev Log

That gives you the rough time line - Ocean things his work on the Season 1 release will be all done by (roughly) the next dev log for WiaB. This week's SG dev log will likely explain where he's at with the intro cinematic. One of the things that happens is Ocean is actively developing future content for both games while waiting for the renders to churn through. If you don't follow WiaB, it's worth doing simply because the dev logs give you a better picture. No matter what anyone says, Ocean is communicating every week with people about the game, so unlike other dev's we at least know exactly where things are at, even if he's terrible at estimating timelines. As a perfectionist myself, I get the problem - 5 more minutes to fix something you notice becomes 30, which quickly leads you down a rabbit hole, and suddenly it's two days later. The problem is that people like the quality of the result, and the result IS because of his perfectionism (not saying it's perfect, just saying his drive to polish things has gotten it to the quality level people like, as eveidenced by the support for SG).

I'd hazard a guess that after the steam release we'll see a new Ocean who's learned a little about his shiny new A6000 ADA's and also about moving forward. I've seen a lot of comments in the dev logs that suggest he's honestly frustrated with the pace he making and he's actively looking for ways to increase output. There's a limit one person can manage, but even still, he's not reached that limit where the tech/hardware is faster than his development. Before other people call me naive, yes, this is a hopeful comment, and I'm not blind to his work proclivities.

I don't know if you're over thinking it, but damn that's a great sleuthing observation. I'd guess that they are meant to match/be a mirror just to emphasis the earrings plot, just underscoring that when they're in the same scene. It might hint at future collaboration or antagonism, but I guess we all knew there's going to be something revealed from Sasha about Nami's (and Leia's) earring at somepoint. Great observation

I find the same thing. I've only once been is a situation where it was hot enough for the women to take their tops off for comfort. Even with different cultures, it's mostly fan service. Despite that, I think if Ocean had something more believable, it's lose the appearance of an AVN, so he's kinda done it just to keep fans happy, and blueballed. Anticipation is at least a slightly sext mindgame

I mean, scenes in the women's change rooms would've made sense, and been natural. Scenes changing int he unisex showers make sense. Moments like the jacuzzi feel natural because there is also a level of social awkwardness, and it's partially explained by Vanessa's weird and forward character. The awkwardness of the group kiss makes sense, Nami's teasing and wardrobe dysfuctions mostly feels okay. But yeah, the random toplessness I find weird and out of place. WiaB's farm scene felt at least vaguely natural for a hot day, as I've been in that situation, but even then, I don't live in a world like that, so I can't easily relate.

Such is life: there are days many things happen (more than you can handle sometimes) and sometimes nothing happens for weeks. So if, at the beginning of university life, you are a bit overwhelmed - because it's all new to you, it is nothing total unreasonable. I think Oceans catching that phase pretty good and I personally have yet to find a boring scene in SG (or WIAB), especially as there is so much going on in the background since the reworks.

Summer never resurfaced after her disappearance, even in the old SG. What you probadly saw are pictures of the nightmare in the beginning of SG. Summer was way older in the old version.

The adult summer you saw was the intro scene, that was the first thing to be reworked I think. Might have been Ch 3. You have to play CH1 or 2 before the rework to see it, and it's basically the same as now, except as adults with creepy smiles and smoking joints.

On the other hand, you can see the edgy dark version that some people like. It's more a curiosity than anything else.

The Dev knew if he made him like that, you wouldn't be getting all the sex scenes you want right off the bat. He wanted to make you wait for that shit. Edging the shit out of you with nude scenes, some butt/boobs peek-a-boos, just pushing you to the limit, to rage in the comments about why this game haz no of the secs, as he laughs behind the screen, with a mischievous smile....

If you busted your nuts to the game before a single sex scene, you already lost the game.

I think that Ocean will start to do some time shifts once the world-building is mostly done.

Pure speculation - once the weekend is done - there are a number of ways to approach this:

Short vignettes showing:

Life at Nick's house
Daily schoolwork/time in class
Evening training with the coaches

This can be interspersed with more significant scenes like:

The first party at the new bar
The MC's therapy visits
The MC and Bella working on their project

Depending on who the MC is with (LI), some 'regular' moments can be added in (for example - those on the Bella path):

Working out with Bella in the gym
The MC watching Bella play football
The MC preparing for his Zara competition

College has a rhythm and I believe that Ocean could represent this using more of a weekly set of snapshots.

Does he slow down for the weekends and more activities? I suspect he does.

There are also major activities coming up that will likely be the primary focus/a major focus of a particular release:

The BB scrimmage against the first team
The MC/Amber trip to the cabin to help him get past whatever happened there
The first visit to the Barn - whether the RPG session is fully represented or summarized
Bella's street racing competition

I believe that significant world-building events will be well developed and presented as they have been so far, so in moderate to great detail.

We'll know more once SG season 1 is a lock and the Steam release is submitted.

For the first rev of S2, I am looking forward to the MC and Ayau sparring... this should be good!

Okay, I have another little explanation why Sasha may very well be related by blood to Nami and Nika.
The answer,oddly enough, lies in this site.Incest patch.Ocean,although allows such relationships in the plot, but tries to weave it into the plot, make it more realistic and of course show the consequences.Such relationships will always be secretive, and most people will not accept it.Sadly, the *official* version prohibits incest.However,by removing the patch,the viewer may have a lot of questions about why,according to the plot, they are so hidden.Here lies the trick and the author’s solution to the problem. Absolutely all girls who are blood related to MC and are love interests will ALWAYS have a very difficult personality, uncommon difficult past with MC and/or a plot in which the relationship will have to be hidden.
Judge for yourself: Nami has a difficult, unclear past with MC, very jealous and envious.Leia has a difficult past with MC,a dark, cold, jealous mafioso. Katie has a difficult past with MC, a rare bitch, she is just as manipulative as Leia and also has feelings for William in her own twisted masochistic manner. I am sure that with Helen there will be many more turning points, although there were already hints that she is completely another and Leia may still seem like an angel in comparison.
Now take Sasha. A difficult character, the habits of a stalker with hints of a yandere,a princess from a very rich, powerful crime clan. Yes, there is a whole set of red flags that this will be an incredibly difficult path in which they will hide their relationships.It seems to me that the chances that Nami and Sasha are twins, and Nika their younger brother, are quite high. What do you think?
