I don't know the reason for Regium quitting, it's most likely the same as every other dev that quits, they didn't have enough money to pay bills and took a job that took all their time. SG was a game that basically started at the start of the pandemic while WiaB was before. A lot of devs started games then, quite a few are abandoned as they were able to leave their house and get back a regular job. I don't know specifically if this was the case with Regium though, but this thread being just after the start of the pandemic, Ocean lets his friend develop one of Ocean's scripts because everyone's got to pull together to not go mad or something I guess?
In the current version CH5 beta there's very little of the renders from the first version left. I'm not quite sure exactly where the division was in Ch3, and how Ocean did it. Also, I think Ocean supplied models for earlier chapters, Ch1 Ayua is different from Ch2 in the early releases, so Ocean was helping with assets and renders from Ch2 onwards, then started the rework when he took over completely. Think in the Ch5 beta, the basketball game, the heist, and the physio for Vic are the main scenes that will be replaced in Season 1, making everything at least consistent with Ocean's style; nothing from the original 2 chapters will be left.
Might be just gossip, but that's what I read on Reddit

I have no idea, but Ocean was able to get hold of the Patreon page, which he managed for Regium. What happened since then I don't know. Regium deleted their account here. If you go searching through the thread you'll find some stuff. Regium basically lost motivation after Ch1, Ocean started co-dev in Ch2, and then Regium abandoned it, and Ocean took over so Ocean's script didn't die. Ocean was sole dev from around the start of 2020.
What that means in terms of where Regium is now, no idea.

thanks i was asking because the names i saw while playing it made me think that the Mc and Nami might be the son and daughter of william and liea

There is a high probability that they, or at least one of them, are Zara and Vanessa's parents.
William might be the father of many SG characters including Nika and Nami.
But personally, I'm not a supporter of the theory that Nika is related to William.

I have a suspicion that we will never know for sure who or how many offsprings William has in SG and the answer, for obvious reasons, will only be in WiAB.

It registered. It just frankly was nothing more than a (for lack of a better term) heartfelt vent. I don't say that to be rude (which is how I'm figuring you took it by stating you were a 'tad annoyed'), just honest. I don't/didn't have an issue with you saying anything you said. I mostly found it humorous your post is what was linked to the read me. I stated that 'justified or not', there were truths in what was being said. Clearly when you wrote what you wrote, you equally thought the same and thus said and I quote, "I honestly get the frustration; some of it is definitely warranted..." So the main reason I wrote what I said in light of being humored that the read me linked to your post, was also that well... being critical is just that. Being critical. It was literally highlighting your statement that some of it is warranted. Some people can word it in a way that isn't antagonistic and others just don't have that ability and then even more are just hateful and unhelpful. Some write glowing reviews far removed from reality. All of that is true. Again, while sure it's like 'move on' if you truly hate the game, but at the same time this is what comes with the internet. Everyone has a voice. It ends up being the one true curse of the internet, it's something you can't escape. Some morons are going to come and spew nonsense. The crazy thing about those kinds of people is they run their mouths yet will watch this thread like a hawk and be some of the first to download any update that shoots out. Some people are just wired weird like that, they continue to play and follow things they don't like. Who knows why.
This seems a bit silly to me. I'm confused on how one sees comments without needing to read them? I personally haven't seen any of this bountiful negativity (I'm not saying it doesn't exist), mainly because I don't go looking for it. I wouldn't have known there was negativity towards the game, or really Oceans, if I hadn't read your post and the reason I wouldn't have known that is because I don't page for page, comment for comment, notification for notification, reaction for reaction read what everyone or anyone is saying about it because I literally have the ability to do so. I don't even see the need for that, especially if I know it's just nonsensical garbage being spewed by a vocal minority. Luckily for me, the DL link is on the first page. It's about as far as I feel I need to go. Point being, if I can outright ignore unhelpful things people say about the game, so can anyone else.
As unfortunate as that is to hear... plenty of developers delete their accounts or never have one to begin with or outright don't comment on F95 anyway and it's not always to do with dummies spewing nonsense about the game or the dev. In my time being here, I don't typically expect devs to be active here and in my position as a creator that makes sense. I don't think much of it. Hence as I said, you're going to be the villain for someone. Anyone creating anything in this world should know that... Frankly, as someone who is making their own franchise and has considered making an AVN in that very universe that would no doubt end up here on F95, I wouldn't have an account simply because I'd be spending so much time in the comments reading every little thing everyone said about my game that it would drive me crazy by default. Just for the focus alone, I'd block out that noise.
It wasn't my intention but it was clear you were annoyed by the fact you responded to me, but it had extremely little to do with any assumptions made by me and just the fact I pointed out that it was merely a rant coming from the opposite side of the fence. Personally I think the term 'rant' is what annoyed you, so I'll swap it for 'vent'. I've been in that realm, so I get it. I just didn't see the need to vent at people that wouldn't care what I was saying anyway. When people were ripping Succubus Covenant, I simply wrote my response to the Dev themselves. The dev liked the post among a few others, commented saying thank you, addressed some of my critiques. Done. That dev is clearly of thicker skin though and/or has a deeper understanding of what comes with putting yourself and a product out there.
Anywho, thanks for the welcome and for being respectful, I super appreciate it. I've honestly been here for awhile, I usually don't see the need to comment all that often and very rarely venture past page 1. It was nice chatting with someone who is passionate about the game.

To be honest, as someone who almost obsessively lurks over this thread (except for when I'm gone for a bit, then I read the notifications to catch up), I don't see those comments very often either except for when someone replies to them. It seems that even low effort singular line comments incite a far larger number of responses, burying the original comment with it's responses.
