I do like that you drew attention to her family, but I am less sure if ir would be made to the news, plenty o children dies or go missing and not all cases gains media attention. I confess a lack of knowledge here, but does Nika don't know or don't remember ? Summer goes missing some time after the cabin, she was out to a travel, maybe the whole family died in a car accident or something. Maybe is not about the Nika's infatuation, but the mysteries that of his past, there is 100 ways to explain why Summer is gone. Also, no one every really asks, what the hell happened to Summer's parents? For Summer to disappear, her parents had to as well, or it would be in the news 'parent's heartbroken, tryst goes wrong, police hunting for lost teen'. The fact Nika doesn't know, Nia doesn't know (because she's more clued on to women not looking the same as they did 5 years ago) and Elsa's mom should know where her sister is... I'd HIGHLY doubt Nika's infatuation is so dramatic that Summer's mom would go into hiding, lose all her friends etc.
Only solution I see is witness protection/relocation, which fits in with the Zanes being criminal. They wouldn't then just get an eraser for Summer's freckles and leave her in WOllust as one of the most prominent families.
You are right again about the family, just want to say that I find odd the reluctance that of Nojiko and Nami to talk about what happened, I mean, if she simply died why they don't say it, " after Summer died". When we are at Vic's Nika explicit says that Summer disappeared, so I don't think she is dead. I have flirted with the idea that she was comatose, but now that we know about Bella sisters it feels to repetitive, unless they are somehow related. Maybe they made a plan to runway but Nami stopped Nika but was alredy too late for Summer ?Nika mentions them more than he mentions his ownin seriousness, if Nika uses Emilio to find out about Summer, and we start interacting with Elsa, I think that side of the story will develop. Even if Summer isn't present except in flashbacks, the story is about healing and Summer is central to Nika's trauma. All of Nika's secondary trauma regarding rich people is due to Summer's parents, so somehow he'll need to come to terms with his class struggle as a minor point. Summer's parent's aren't necessary for that, but the search for Summer would start with family connections - I mean asking Elsa would be almost the first step right? Because Summer has left not only NIka but Nia, her whole circle. Family is the logical place for Emilio to start asking questions.
I personally think it's better to have Summer absent the whole story, as Nika then has to decide how to move forward for his own reasons - does he stay faithful to the ghost of his past, or does he allow himself to breath fresh air, and live in the moment? If Summer is a schrödinger pussy, then Nika has to decide completely on his own perception and it's changes. I think that's a far more interesting plot device.
well, both his parents are in the great beyond or went on a secret milk run. I now laugh when I think about how both Nika and his "roomates" parents died in a car accident. Unless......perhaps they all died from the exact same car crash....doubtful. Idunno, sounds fishy.Nika mentions them more than he mentions his ownin seriousness, if Nika uses Emilio to find out about Summer, and we start interacting with Elsa, I think that side of the story will develop. I really like the speculation, but at times I can't help but feeling frustrated at the lack of firm ground to base any theory on. So far we know so little that almost anything is possible, as what is deal with Nika and Nami ? And are their parents dead or not ? Is it of importance ?well, both his parents are in the great beyond or went on a secret milk run. I now laugh when I think about how both Nika and his "roomates" parents died in a car accident. Well, there is always summer mother to replace her, summer mother is still alive, isn't she?Nika mentions them more than he mentions his ownin seriousness, if Nika uses Emilio to find out about Summer, and we start interacting with Elsa, I think that side of the story will develop. Yes, as long as Summer stays in FuckoffVille, I can tolerate her. Although I regret the renders spent on her almost as much as those spent on the fucking tabletop game. It could be Zara, Sasha, Vanessa, Vic or Maja instead. Heck, even Bella would do.![]()
oh boy, get ready for a good dose of the tabletop game for season 2.Oh god, don't remind me about the fucking tabletop game. Ocean, if you're reading this, I've got a bone to pick with you.
ha, the damned fish in the background, I had never noticed that detail.
...I actually enjoyed the tabletop game lol. I'm well aware i'm in the minority with that oneoh boy, get ready for a good dose of the tabletop game for season 2.![]()
Can't agree with this, I think something happened that separated them and he doesn't know if she's alive or not, or he knows she's alive but doesn't know where she is. Otherwise, all this fuss around her doesn't make any sense. Why does he constantly complain that he didn't get closure and this is tormenting him?I think Nika knows what happened to Summer, asking her parents or Elsa would probably been the first thing he did back than otherwise. He interrupted Elsa in the restaurant too as she intended to talk about it.
Its one of these cases where the mc knows more about certain things compared to us as the readers (which always annoys me a bit).
I kinda would like Summer to come back, but explaing all this in a reasonable way is kinda hard, it would make the most sense if Summer is simply dead. But i think she probably isnt.
Nor I...till you told me lol. Like that raccoon outside the Frohms window on movie night.ha, the damned fish in the background, I had never noticed that detail.![]()
Maybe if it could be used for something else besides filler I would like it. I usually skip it....I actually enjoyed the tabletop game lol. I'm well aware i'm in the minority with that one. but I will say It did eat up precious time. Hopefully the next one isn't as excessive.
Well, if he knows, why does he want to pay Emilio to find out? Nika mentions that it would be nice to have closure, so he doesn't know. It's entirely possible everyone else does, but Nika and Nia don't know.I think Nika knows what happened to Summer, asking her parents or Elsa would probably been the first thing he did back than otherwise. Nika doesn't know or is mentally hiding. Maybe he had a hand in whatever happened, and he feels subconscious guilt. We really don't know. It would make the news if they were rich, which seems to be the case. If they had a car accident, that would be easy to find out from news reports, there would be no mystery, Noji could tell him (that also means no one in Wollust is allowed a license - Nick had an accident, the Frohns (senior), the Cyrus's, Bella is likely going to have one with all the foreshadowing of how dangerous the race she's going to is, Vic had one as well... it's a miracle anyone is allowed to drive there). As we don't know anything about them other than their connection to Elsa who is in the rich circle, and Summer's parent's looked down on poor doctors like Noji, chances are they are rich enough to become news, or to be involved with the Zanes.I do like that you drew attention to her family, but I am less sure if ir would be made to the news, plenty o children dies or go missing and not all cases gains media attention. I like the idea of witness protection, but I also don't. From a plot perceptive I think it works, from a character one less so. I think that whatever happened to Summer should be tied to Nika in some form, not that he need to me responsible but something he would feel responsible for, I just can't see a 14 years old boy losing himself completely over a teenager love that don't seemed to have lasted very long. I read it as a tragic and witness protection don't quite hits the same note.
Also I am less sure that Summer family is of any relevance, to be worth witness protection.
You are right again about the family, just want to say that I find odd the reluctance that of Nojiko and Nami to talk about what happened, I mean, if she simply died why they don't say it, " after Summer died". I completely agree, Summer should remain absent, bring her back don't adds nothing but cheap drama and lessens the story themes.
Or the Zanes (or their enemies) took out a hit - in old WiaB the Frohn's were some sort of financiers that Leia knew. I can't remember if Maja mentions what her parents did, I think there was some mention about her finances, but I can't remember enough to find it. It'd be very efficient to bury a whole bunch of trouble makers in a serial car crash spree. Marla was the hitman, that's why she carried a gun, but it was the last job and she was out... sorry wrong gamewell, both his parents are in the great beyond or went on a secret milk run. I now laugh when I think about how both Nika and his "roomates" parents died in a car accident. Unless......perhaps they all died from the exact same car crash....doubtful. Idunno, sounds fishy.
Nika pulls the orgy devils card and they have weird tentacle sex for the remainder of the gaming session, and all the girls imaginations make him work it.oh boy, get ready for a good dose of the tabletop game for season 2.![]()
Talking about fishing again today, it's a themeha, the damned fish in the background, I had never noticed that detail.![]()

yes, there has been a lot of fishing activity in these parts.Talking about fishing again today, it's a theme![]()
The truth is that Summer never had freckles, she lied to usFor Sasha to be Summer, she has to use concealer to hide her freckles, but doesn't use concealer on the scar OR she has a whole skin transplant of her entire face. I'm sure she could afford treatments, but damn that's a convoluted plot to explain to pornhunters when you can just have Summer reappear far more easily.
I made a comment not long ago talking about why I am unsure if Summer family had money enough to be considered rich, is not that I think is impossible but I am not leaning this way at the moment. About the car accident, you are right. For sure if the witness protection is what happened it needs to be related to the Zanes, but again despeite the Zanes being completely fucked up I don't think they are gonna be the villains here, we have to wait and see. I also am fine with we never learning what really happened with Summer, in fact I like more this way but it needs be dealt with.Nika doesn't know or is mentally hiding. The witness protection might be something to do with the Zanes. That's the only situation that I think it would be worth doing that idea, and it could still be related to Summer associating with Nika. Whatever the case is, Ocean needs a pretty good way to deal with it. It doesn't have to be solved, but it has to be meaningfully dealt with, and consistent.
This is sorta what we are discussing right now, in short we don't know. She might be referring the violent incident, whatever happened to Summer or some other thing that Nika does not wants Bella to know at the moment. I think that the violent incident is a good bet as Nika continued going to school after Summer was gone and they seemed to gave attended the same school, so could not be related to Summer, or it is and Elsa's parents changed school after whatever happened to Summer. Right now we only know that they have not meet each other for some time after someting happened, and Nika does not wants to talk about it in front of Bella.Hey guys, I don't know if this has been discussed before but those anyone have an idea or have some theory about what elsa is talking about here?

My guess is that she is talking about the violent accident that Nika had in the past.
