Be an instant drop for me if he does. I'm the opposite of Nasc, I follow this purely because it's an extra to WIAB...I don't overly care for it much as a standalone VN. Adding free-roam, I'd just delete it and unfollow this thread immediately.

I gotta say I'm at the point where my excitment for a new update of either game pales in comparison to my excitment of seeing your reaction to the changes Ocean will introduce to WiAB. And now the possibility of freeroams as well

No one claimed you are not allowed to like them! Some of us do claim that her piercings and Leia's pepperoni slice nipples aren't the most visually appealling... In Miru's case it's a shame that those things (imo) drag her down from a 9.5 to like the lowest of 8's at best

Actually, it's a complex case: the damn rings only appear in Blender renders, in the game she wears little nipple barbells or something, but not the rings. I'm not sure about them, after all they looked good on Amber...

She can also ask Miss Marla to tell the BB coaches that the MC will be working out with barbells for part of his trip to the cabin and he will get Plenty of exercise - the Best kind of excused absence from school...

Willy does not have to work to properly exercise with those barbells... once he does - the workout gets even better!

I doubt it strongly, maybe some offhand comment in wiab but i dont expect anything else clarifiying anything for quite some time.

I wouldnt even be surprised about back and forths like Nika finding an old ID oh himself with the Zane name only to meet his father Mr. Cyrus later on to make everything more and more confusing

Maybe there will be a new message in the opening ala "No characters are related" lol

I'm pretty sure that Nika is the son of someone important in WIAB, his parents aren't dead and Cyrus isn't his real last name.

Sorry for being a bother, I really don't mean to interrupt the family tree analysis. Just a quick question. Do we have any indication of what Ocean is currently working on? Is it gonna be Wiab or SG S2?
Yes I've tried searching the thread for "Update" but there are 50+ post results and they are not ordered by date.

Next year maybe.

Makes sense, maybe Nika is the son of a important character from WiAB and the mother will not be William's love interest...maybe one of his close friends from the past and his wife (or girlfriend) or some kind of "frenemie" in the story.
I think Ayua is William's and Miru's daughter,
I dont think Ocean will play with incest on this, so he will make sure there is no misunderstanding or incest path that will put his income in jeopardy.
But we would need to no why Ayua is not a LI, could be because Ocean wants to use her as protagonist or LI in another game, or because....Nika is related to William and a romance with Ayua would be incest.
Then to solve all this, Nika being the son of a not romanceable character from WiAB would make sense...but theres still too many questions.

In actual numbers, the longest between updates was just short of a year (Ch3). I would guess this will be updated sooner than that, but not much. Based on his current render counts, I wouldn't expect it before February, but April would still be faster than Ch3.

That's cheating, Bob. It's been a year since the beta of Chapter 5; you're counting from the Steam release of the first season.

THe beta didn't have the rework, and that rework was the content of a whole chapter for the final release, so I don't think that's cheating. Normally it would have been considered a half chapter, but there was no advancement of the plot in the rework, so it gets overlooked. But it was still work, and it was still a separate release, which is why the beta is still linked in the OP, separate to the full release. Ocean dabbled with Season 2 prior to the release of Ch5 beta as well, so it's impossible to be accurate.

The thing is that we typically get an update in some form within a year from the previous one. In this case the previous one is Season 1, which was roughly 6 and a half months after Ch5 Beta. I don't think I'm wrong to say we're unlikely to see it before February and I'm more likely by the end of April.

If I look at updates, I don't think Ocean's comfortable letting it get close to a year between updates.

You can think whatever you want, but there are three things about Willie:
1. Any woman except Mira and Leia will only give birth to twins from Willie. And only a boy and a girl.
2. Miru is not capable of getting pregnant from Willie. They are so different that Willie's sperm does not survive in Mira's womb.
3. Leia will give birth to someone like Vanessa from Willie

While browsing old devlogs, a thought occurred to me.

Since Ocean introduces a new dialogue window modeled on RPG games in which we have the opportunity to ask for additional information, claiming that Nika has recovered enough that he is starting to be interested in other people.
So what do you think ?, will Ocean surprise us in the future and introduce free-roaming sections to the game?
This, together with the introduction of the smartphone function, looks to me like preparing the mechanics that will be needed for this, and after all, Ocean can always say that Nika is healing well enough that he wants to start going to parties or other gatherings and talking to people

I think freeroaming doesn´t fit this game, it would break all the immersive that Ocean has achieved, i don´t know, for me it would break the timing and the environment, i don´t know if you get what i want to say. But said that is true that all the new elements are near to games with freeroaming, as you have said: the phone, the dialogue thing... But i don´t think Ocean suddenly makes SG a freeroaming game, nothing has showed us that idea.

Theoretically, the only place I can imagine the freerooming and it would somewhat fit, is a tabletop scene, and only then if it would be optional. Otherwise I don't want any freeroom in SG.
