Somehow when I try to run the steam version, I caught this error when starting the game, need help guys

, I think in 10-15 years, AI image generation will improve significantly, eliminating the uncanny valley effect and making it almost impossible to tell a handmade image from an AI one.And I also think by that time you will download not games but game generators. You will describe to it what you would like to play today, and it will generate a game and graphics for you on the fly

Okay, maybe I'm getting too far ahead of the technology in my fantasies, but I think there will be at least the next generation of AI tools for developing 3D images and animation. And the work that game devs do manually now and spend most of the time on it - creating characters, environments, posing scenes, e.t.c - will be done with the help of AI.
Just look at the modern music generation tools - you can already make quite decent soundtracks for your game by spending a couple of hours playing with prompts and listening to different options and choosing the best one. AI will compose the lyrics and music for you and arrange it all in accordance with the desired style, and sing it in the desired voice. It is clear that professionals will wrinkle their noses at this "music", but as for me, who listens everything mainly on my phone player through rather average earbuds, what do their opinions matter? The same will happen with AVNs.

As for Disney, this is an absolute lie, any beginner who has completed training can easily set up the lights there, there is nothing complicated there. Moreover, Ocean used to work with lights and had no problems with it. In Germany, there are now big problems with electricity and many people sit without it, saving money. Perhaps he got used to it and thinks that this is normal and therefore decided to transfer this problem to the game, thinking that this is the case all over the world. I have no other logical explanation for this.

After six years of development, he’s still delusional about making two games at the same time, both somehow planned to have 30+ episodes — even though he hasn’t even thought of the plot for like 80% of them (Even Hardian, 'cheers' on ocean nuts dude, deep down knows that he is just making shit up as he goes with every new episode). But honestly, what do you expect from a guy who needed two whole years just to finish building his PC, and has been 'working on music licenses' for like four years now imao

I don't think it's a perfectionist thing, he and fans may like to say that. He is in over his head, even a basic AVN enjoyer like me knows with two big story like SG and WiAB, ocean cannot satisfy us with timely release, great renders and having a peaceful daily life. He would be sacrificing something. In this case it happened to be release time. Only way we get to fully enjoy SG and WiAB without losing intrest or the games getting abandoned are either ocean start doing smaller releases or appointing a supporter dev to increase production. He knows this, he just doesn't care. To take one whole year for just 1 chapter to get relased is diabolical, if it was a whole season I get it.

I would add that he's also probably hesistant after the crap that went down with the original Summers Gone dev. The one who was making it based off of Ocean's notes. Bad experience leading him to not want to work with someone again.
I understand what you are trying to say, enjoying life without an attachment. But don't you wish that you could have a completed version of SG in your hand right now, I certainly do. Apart from that, it is ocean's duty as a developer to fulfil his supporters wish. I have never another community like this, the fans never ask for anything else. No special fetishes, charector change, etc they may say here and there but they whole heartedly enjoy what ocean make. The only thing they demand of ocean as a whole is to release sooner, and I think it's his duty to fulfil that. Ofcourse he is a talented creator with a beautiful story, wonderful characters, etc. He should get his recognition, but it was is who recognized his talent and supported him. You may not know, but SG was originally developed by such a supporter dev, Regium, to whom Ocean handed over his plot (as far as I understand, it was pretty rough and sketchy at the time). And Ocean himself worked exclusively on WiAB (though, rumors say, he was already dabbling in developing a second game with FMC in the background
).It didn't work, as already on the 2nd chapter of SG, Ocean first had to help him with creating renders (and in the end, almost completely redo all the graphics for chapter 2) and then Regium get away from SG development and Ocean was left with two games and two fan bases, some of which can't stand the other game.
There have also been some negative attempts to outsource some of the work. But there is also a positive part, for example, now he has a guy who helps him with coding and UI.

I heard about a developer who spent ~14 months on the latest update to his AVN. The guy made a few million by the most conservative estimates.

You want one better? WiAB was at episode 6 in 2020. Its 2025, and we're in episode 3 now.
I enjoy SG/WiAB but watching the development of these games has been a hell of a trip.
