For everything to be as you say, Ocean first needs to clear his reputation. If a newbie likes a game, he tries to find as much information about it as possible. And the first thing a newbie learns is that Ocean is a milker and deceives his Patreons. Until Ocean changes this, you shouldn't count on a large influx of newbies. To my great regret, Ocean doesn't understand this and continues to slowly ruin his projects.

now i am the first to say i think ocean takes much longer releasing because of the support he has.. but iwe are all grown adults and choose to do with are money as we please.. i have paid for every update on patreon, i have bought SG on steam . and i did it willingly and wantingly.. if people decide to keep financing ocean to the degree they so he can take as long as he wants then that is there right .. it is not ocean's fault that he has developed a VN that could be considered the best of all time .. do i get pissed waiting .. yes.. do i cry about it.. your damn right but when it comes out i am like a fat kid eating a jelly donut boyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy..

He does not release the game because it is profitable for him to milk his Patreons. He will throw in a couple of renders and write another letter with a complaint about how everyone is interfering with his work, and continue to relax, receiving money for free. He does this all the time, everyone still remembers his words about the update that was supposed to come out before the end of the year. And he will not release frequent updates, it is easier to follow them and you can immediately see when the developer starts to slack off.
Even Disney struggles to achieve "high-quality lighting" for its films. Such effects would cost millions that Ocean cannot afford. Be fair.

As for Disney, this is an absolute lie, any beginner who has completed training can easily set up the lights there, there is nothing complicated there. I don't think it's a perfectionist thing, he and fans may like to say that. He is in over his head, even a basic AVN enjoyer like me knows with two big story like SG and WiAB, ocean cannot satisfy us with timely release, great renders and having a peaceful daily life. He would be sacrificing something. In this case it happened to be release time. Only way we get to fully enjoy SG and WiAB without losing intrest or the games getting abandoned are either ocean start doing smaller releases or appointing a supporter dev to increase production. He knows this, he just doesn't care. To take one whole year for just 1 chapter to get relased is diabolical, if it was a whole season I get it.
I would add that he's also probably hesistant after the crap that went down with the original Summers Gone dev. The one who was making it based off of Ocean's notes. Bad experience leading him to not want to work with someone again.
I understand what you are trying to say, enjoying life without an attachment. But don't you wish that you could have a completed version of SG in your hand right now, I certainly do. Apart from that, it is ocean's duty as a developer to fulfil his supporters wish. I have never another community like this, the fans never ask for anything else. No special fetishes, charector change, etc they may say here and there but they whole heartedly enjoy what ocean make. The only thing they demand of ocean as a whole is to release sooner, and I think it's his duty to fulfil that. Ofcourse he is a talented creator with a beautiful story, wonderful characters, etc. He should get his recognition, but it was is who recognized his talent and supported him. I'm happy to be a $ supporter of Ocean and I feel like I have gotten more value from SG than from most of the AAA games I buy.
There will always be people who want to tell other adults how to spend their money.
I only Have to listen to the ones working for my government...
I'm looking forward to decades of AVN story time with SG and WIAB.
This includes an enjoyable story, some beautiful renders, animations and great music.
If I get to enjoy other Ocean creations after these - I will.
When I die, what follows after that won't matter to me...

I wouldn't, understand those are circumstances a move on. Ocean is doing this either he may have trust issue like you mentioned or thinks only he can do it as a narcissist.
