I'm happy to be a $ supporter of Ocean and I feel like I have gotten more value from SG than from most of the AAA games I buy.

There will always be people who want to tell other adults how to spend their money.

I only Have to listen to the ones working for my government...

I'm looking forward to decades of AVN story time with SG and WIAB.

This includes an enjoyable story, some beautiful renders, animations and great music.

If I get to enjoy other Ocean creations after these - I will.

When I die, what follows after that won't matter to me...

And the first thing a newbie learns is that Ocean is a milker and deceives his Patreons. Until Ocean changes this, you shouldn't count on a large influx of newbies. To my great regret, Ocean doesn't understand this and continues to slowly ruin his projects.

now i am the first to say i think ocean takes much longer releasing because of the support he has.. but iwe are all grown adults and choose to do with are money as we please.. i have paid for every update on patreon, i have bought SG on steam . and i did it willingly and wantingly.. if people decide to keep financing ocean to the degree they so he can take as long as he wants then that is there right .. it is not ocean's fault that he has developed a VN that could be considered the best of all time .. do i get pissed waiting .. yes.. do i cry about it.. your damn right but when it comes out i am like a fat kid eating a jelly donut boyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy..

He does not release the game because it is profitable for him to milk his Patreons. He will throw in a couple of renders and write another letter with a complaint about how everyone is interfering with his work, and continue to relax, receiving money for free. He does this all the time, everyone still remembers his words about the update that was supposed to come out before the end of the year. And he will not release frequent updates, it is easier to follow them and you can immediately see when the developer starts to slack off.

The Artificial Imbecile won't be able to create anything likeable for me any time soon. So far everything it does looks like a Potemkin village for the superficial viewers with a short attention span.

As much as I don't like to agree with Krogan Dude on anything , I think in 10-15 years, AI image generation will improve significantly, eliminating the uncanny valley effect and making it almost impossible to tell a handmade image from an AI one.

And I also think by that time you will download not games but game generators. You will describe to it what you would like to play today, and it will generate a game and graphics for you on the fly

Devs will develop prompts for the AI generator (spending years on that ) and sell access to them.

However, there will always be developers of unique AVNs such as Ocean, where everything is made by hand, as well as fans of such products.

Okay, maybe I'm getting too far ahead of the technology in my fantasies, but I think there will be at least the next generation of AI tools for developing 3D images and animation. And the work that game devs do manually now and spend most of the time on it - creating characters, environments, posing scenes, e.t.c - will be done with the help of AI.

Just look at the modern music generation tools - you can already make quite decent soundtracks for your game by spending a couple of hours playing with prompts and listening to different options and choosing the best one. AI will compose the lyrics and music for you and arrange it all in accordance with the desired style, and sing it in the desired voice. It is clear that professionals will wrinkle their noses at this "music", but as for me, who listens everything mainly on my phone player through rather average earbuds, what do their opinions matter? The same will happen with AVNs.

Meanwhile, Ocean’s a 'perfectionist' who’s perfected ruining half the models. Man’s a brain-rotted gooner who literally can't stop until he turns every character into the same plastic Instagram clone.
Nojiko? Went from actually looking like the MC’s mom to looking younger than Nami.
Mila? Used to be a good-looking woman — now she looks like a discount silicone escort.
