Yes and no, most recent update save files should be compatible but theres always a chance you might have to start over between updates. Dark Cookie has said that they will provide save files up to the most recent content whenever a new update comes out too.

As far as I've heard DC simply wants to draw a pin-up or so of young Roz, which MC can find. I don't think it'll be much more. Maybe some imaginative stuff or so, I'd guess.

You'll have to change the date on your PC and it should be back. The christmas and halloween content only activates around these dates (+- 2 weeks?) and is gone the rest of the year. I'm not sure whether there's a mod to change it in other ways, though.
