I'm seeing alot of people fighting but it is true that this dev takes REALLY LONG to make an update.

Apparently both the complete overhaul of the game's art and re-coding it from the ground up doesn't warrant some time to people around here. Milking is a better option

It's not true. 3 to 4 months between updates is not "really long" - especially not a game at this stage of its development with the vast amount of storyline and imagery involved (20k+ images). And the developer is putting out small updates while the major change from 4:3 to 16:9 plus reposing of every character in every dynamic scene, as well as recoding of the entire game is being undertaken.
What you have is a lot of people who have no idea what it takes to progress a project - whether it be a game, or whatever - whining that they can't blow their load to new scenes every couple of weeks.

Not trying to start a fight but even before the art overhaul it took him half a year just to make a new update

This game never has taken that long before offering an updated of some kind. I posted my handydandy FAQ just 5 posts before yours that I'm replying to. Look at #12 below. No update has taken longer than 6 months. There have been a couple at 5 months. Most have ranged in 3-4 months.

Bro, did you even read my post properly? I meant six months after the tech update, not from now(okay, amittedly could've been clearer there). Also, I wasn't expressing my opinion about development time, I meant that's how others perceive it (as you can see by the constant milking posts). Like it or not, that's the rep he has. Lastly, he is off track. This update took far longer than he predicted. It should've been done months ago by his estimation.

6 months to what ? Every update is ~4 months since 2017. People have been moaning about everything since 2016. He never predicted something that actually arrived on time. Ever. Whatever he says is never 100% concrete. Since 2016. Any1 remotely following DC for more than 5 mins will never try to argue his time perception is nothing short of ultra fail
Take 5-6 dudes, make them code crap on top of each other for years, while trying to have a game function somehwat properly. Then figure out all that junk needs to be cleaned and optimised. Hire a new coder to redo most of everything made before him and "trim the fat" around said junk code. Then have him "future proof" the new stuff so that the game doesn't wanna die every 3 builds and no1 has to go back in there every year to check if the code won't implode upon itself the moment something new gets added (like a 5-6 choice branching per girl once we get to the dating routes). Might wanna add the complete rehaul of the entire art to 16:9 which needs to be re-posed and re-coded into the new baseline if you wanna add stuff to explain why it takes time

Yes, could have been clearer - because your opinion "There's no way he'll lets Rhonda's update take that long... I'd say six months max" gave no indication you meant after the tech update. Anyone new to the thread would think you mean by October at the latest for R(h)onda, not November at the earliest.
Nearly everything you stated in your post is an opinion and an interpretation from your perspective - not any foundation or statement of fact.

According to the website's progress tracker, 0% progress has been made over the last 3 weeks. At this point I think NLT is the last creator that regularly updates their stuff.
