Well, I'm not even remotely trying to convince you otherwise. But the only alternative would be to stop making the game and that's not really the way to go either. So you can either give him a chance, wait for a fan patch and hope you'll like it or just forget about the game and it's fine. So I don't really get what you are complaining about.
I'm complaining about a great game being turned mediocre to bad in one move. It's a shame but you're right that it's whatever in the end. DC will do what he thinks he has to do, and anything that happens from that is just what happens.
It's not my save but you can meet Rump in the mall bathroom on weekday morning. It's really RNG and you'll have to try quite a few times. I'm not sure if there's a trigger (maybe you have to see him at the weekend first?) or if it can be seen from day one though.
Yes, all of us would like to stay the game as it is but that's not possible on patreon nor is there any other platform that seems to be able to provide a way out. Yes, we all can complain but that doesn't really lead anywhere. Either DC continues making the game and there's a good chance we'll get a nice version in the end or it'll just be gone.
I don't think it's a good chance. It won't be Summertime Saga anymore. It'll be a photo-copy with some photoshop calling itself Summertime Saga. Now it's just going to wither and rot into a parody of itself. I understand why he's not going to kill it outright, bro needs to eat, but that doesn't mean everything is a-okay with whatever happens. My payment may just be a drop in the bucket but I have to wonder how many others will lose interest quickly without the foundation of the game.
I agree, tbh with you, as much as I love Darkcookie, I felt he was way too over-confident that patreon wouldn't pursue him, perhaps he felt once the front was cleaned up and the money would speak it for him it would keep him untouched. He was obviously wrong, and I personally feel a touch naive.
What good is this thread if not to discuss the incoming changes? The patreon shit is what's causing the changes, but there are massive changes underway undeniably.

The game is changing because of Patreon, but that doesn't even matter and isn't what we were discussing. I was saying the game is going to change and others were saying they wouldn't be that bad, but all we're discussing is the changes that will happen.
