You're only partly right here. What they have said, unless I missed a post somewhere (If so kindly point me in the right direction to read it please...), was that they would not show Nicole with another MAN. They were specific about that. Nicole also says that they won't discuss their dates/relationships with anybody else. All that technically promises is that they won't have a conversation via phone or computer chat about it.

Another common element of MrDots games is lesbian encounters not involving the MC so based on that comment, I find it entirely plausible that Nicole could become involved with a woman. As long as Nicole doesn't tell MC about it, the Devs would not have lied to us even if they showed us the scene. I'm not saying this is what they are planning. I'm not privy to those discussions. I'm only pointing out what I have noticed about what they have told us: it's very carefully specific. (One could argue appropriately so as to avoid spoilers as much as possible.)

TL;dr Devs have promised us no other MEN and no conversations between Nicole and MC about any encounters. They may or may not plan to utilize the maneuvering room they have left themselves with their careful wording.

Yes - there IS a reason - if you would know the further story, you would facepalm for not seeing that possible reason/way XD. Just be patient. It's unfair to judge a story on actual knowledge, as no one of you all can know where the story is planned to go. There are plots, twists, turn arounds, and even faults some people do in their live and they regret it later.

So hopefully for a last time:
DON't judge now - WAIT what will happen - When the game is done and you still don't agree, then you might complain as much as you want

Sorry but this is just nonsense. If I'm a few chapters into reading a book and it sucks I don't think to myself, "Oh I'll just keep reading this crappy book because I don't know what's going to happen later maybe it will get better". I stop reading.

That's the direction this game is heading, IMHO.

That's Ginger (Shortcake), a cousin. And a story is developing for her, though it remains to be seen how far that will go. She's definitely a favorite of mine.

Somehow I'm not very impressed with neither the sister nor the MC. Nicole also seems somewhat suspicious, but the rest of the cast looks pretty good so far. Maybe it's just me, but I can't see how this whole thing built on a massive lie with both of them is supposed to get fixed in any way other than "Yeah ok, enough drama, we're good now."

Considering the characters as written, I still believe that ending the relationship during that phone call would have been completely out of character for the MC. However, there is an option that would have worked while still being in character and that is the MC saying that he needed to think about it. I'm sorry but you don't just turn off your feelings in a heart beat over a hypothetical. He loves her. Putting in the option to say you would think about it allows the choice of breaking up or not. The rest of the night would have progressed as if you chose the no open relationship path with the MC either leaving Vicky at the restaurant or walking her home and leaving.

Even then you can't possibly think that as the first solution.
How about first talk to your partner, put the cards on the table about your feelings what you think and so on, listen the other side. After that you can suggest what you think it may work or that you want to try, you can't just jump from a monogamous relationship to a open relationship out of the blue.
Explain your feelings and your worries let the other side know what is on your mind and see his response don't act like that telling it's a good things to be apart from each other some time and one week later suggest a open relationship.
This mc is already slow I would say dumb too but even him can't be that slow to not put 2+2.
For me her train of thoughts and actions that suggestion in not a good warning or even close to it.

Communicating it's fundamental so you can't change a relationship that way out of nowhere without communicating what troubles you.

They should have talked about and agreed on rules rather than just her doing it for him. Also if she was just going to be with other women, it would have been nice if there was a choice if they talked about it or not.

Also if him needing being in an open relationship with Nicole to get with the other girls, and he tells the other girls this, nothing's stopping him dating all of them unless they nope out of it from the get go. There is no "your cheating on me with those other girls" if they know he's already with someone in that kind of relationship. This is a good setup for a "temp harem" till we have to choose later. Not a fan of the sprung up open relationship, but hey silver lining and all that.

I went though the Nicole and MC open relationship debate scenes and build up. You would have to be mental to think Nicole was doing it for the MC and his needs while in Sunset Bay, even the way she phrases things and how she comes to conclusions show she is always putting herself first. Have no idea how the future updates will spin it, if they try to make it seem she was doing it all for MC benefit and she never had any intention of meeting someone, but zero ground work was laid to ever and I mean ever show that so far in game, so it is hard for me to believe that was ever going to be the case, I guess backlash made the dev team start running some defense and hinting at the future.

She even mentions about finding other people and permanently moving on if it happens. Is that how an open relationship works in her mind. Stay together for now and then move on if they find someone more compatible. Anyway, went in with a clear mind to check those scenes. No ground work was ever laid in my mind to show it was about the MC needs and not about hers. She calls all the shots. I would have to admittedly play the early game also again, to see their interactions more clearly with a fresh mind.

If you want something to be believable or have people playing view something a certain way, just lay the ground work. You surely knew as the people making it how you were portraying Nicole as a character, this was not going to endear her to people and how she was acting, possibly.

Obviously the mental thing was a joke in the beginning of this post, you can still freely think how you wish if you believe so far she acts like this is all in MC interests. I can only go on what has been made currently and I don't include the promises of the future development of the game. You can only rate/review what you can see. I am sure something will be written up in time to make it more palatable, probably.

I have not the time at moment to go on, time for sleep. But tomorrow I will go through some choice dialogue she uses and the times it is really all about her and her needs. A more detailed in depth post if needed and give it a full play again taking it all in calmly again, just to be sure. Never hurts to think it over once more and then assess.

I like this theory and hope that you are right.

As she was talking about finding someone better I was thinking that the MC has already found at least 6.

I started from the beginning with this version after only having played the first release. Even from the beginning, all we see of Nicole is controlling of the MC and being focused on her needs over his. From the dynamic shown in their relationship I don't have a problem believing she would unilaterally come up with the idea and the rules and then impose them on the MC.

Thinking about their relationship I am more at peace with the fact that the MC did not have the choice to break up with her during the call. I can totally see him caving on the issue whether he wants the open relationship or not.

Some devs don't add tags until it's actually in the game. I'd be incredibly surprised if there wasn't at least avoidable NTR at some point in the future of this game, it just makes sense with the Nicole situation. She's obviously selfish and puts success and money above everything else.

Not likely to get an NTR tag (the Dev team is against it), but based on their other games, sharing could come on the menu at some point.

Yeah she is definitely selfish thats all she has done is thought about herself through the entire game.

It does make sense that they would have some kind of sex scenes with Nicole but if they don't I am going to be rather disappointed .

If it was IRL yea I would definitely dump her but since it is a game I would still really like to see her get fucked so I am fine with the open relationship. Also I am hoping her friend Georgina will be involved with her as well. A nice threesome with Georgina and Nicole and some guy.

It wouldn't surprise me if you were right about your 10 dollar bet either.
