I bet the shopkeeper won't forget it, though.
Oh, he won't forget. You will.

When you select sex with the memory monster girl, MC says he doesn't remember what he bought or sold to him, and hopes shopkeep won't try to scam him in the future... So he's basically unknowingly in debt. So imagine what would happen when shopkeep comes to collect the power, and MC refuses because he's got no clue what he even bought.

What happens if you step into the fire? As in, variable wise.
You receive a trippy memory, is interesting though, more if you like the theories about the deities discussed here It seem to be something related to an older Pantheon of Gods, most likely the 'Arbiters', apparently they willingly created the Apostles, but went into conflict with an unknown party, and six of the twelve Apostles were warped, against the Arbiters(they are not explicitly stated to be Arbiters, but yeh) forcing them to go into hidden, three of them 'and one more', before Chaos 'burned the universe' and reset the whole deal.

Also just wanna say, paying later is a complete waste, I don't think there's even a power check in this update. It's just a scam... for like 5 power tops.
There aren't any in this update, but that doesn't mean there won't be any in the next ones before the Shopkeep comes for his debt.

There's a whole lot of set up stuff to keep an eye on these past few updates. There's the raffle ticket, whether you chose to boost Michael or Alice in the machine, if you got enough Michael emotion points, if you gave up memories of the shopkeep (which will likely have an effect if you chose to delay payment of whatever you purchased), the heart you purchased, the Chaos memories, the kid you give power to, having Alice spare Daodine, the weird money checks depending on if you won the bet, got the heart, etc, sending out the Liderc to get information on someone, lots of potential skill and power and corruption checks.

The next couple of update I expect will have a lot of pay-offs for decisions made over the course of these past few updates.

Does anyone know if giving power to the monster child will give us power with interest later, is it true or not?

Don't know yet, but probably he'll understand emotions and things about relationships that will makes him stronger because he'll end up fighting for protecting what he loves and not just for being stronger.
Would be kinda more fun/unusual and surprising if it would be the other way around :ROFLMAO:

im honestly not sure "good" people are whats needed in this story to help humanity prevail

Maaan this update was crazy good.

You know I was hyped for a Indra vs Malik fight, and I was confident in such a fight we'd finally see a HERO heavyweigth either fall on the back knee or atleast sweat a little, but the shit Malik pulled off in this update ? Doubt even Indra could tank that, I'm having doubts.

And on the Malik topic I believe he has the souls of his dead comrades residing in his being, that's the interpretation I made after seeing him seemingly talk to himself. Also it makes sense given Aglaeqwif's taunt calling it ''their sacrifice''.
I believe Malik's insane power somehow is connected to the sacrifices of some or all of his previous comrades, maybe through some kind of ritual or even a Xanthe experiment.

Also man, with the spotlight being stolen by Alice this update, and the absolutely insane power showcases by other monsters in this update, it really makes me excited for the next step in Mc's evolution journey, he really has to step up his game.

Again and again, it feels like we are a small fish in a big pond. If Alice hasn't already caught up with the Mc she is close, then you have the insane powers of Aos barely showed yet still terryfying to imagine, Aos could've erased the Mc and all his party in seconds anytime he wanted, and if Aos is that insane then the goal of getting revenge for the murder of Sylla against Indra seems so distant it's not even funny.

Also Ella is still the best girl in my view, her calling the Mc perfect, making it official he is her chosen ( that was obvious for a long while but it's still nice to hear it from her), and telling him not to dwell on what others might say but focus on her was oddly heartwarming.

Yeah, Malik is actually becoming quite the interesting character, eager to see how W.W handle him, and though, i do like your idea of him having his 'Brothers and Sisters' within him and that being the source of his power, i think is not the case, and is just Malik being schizo as a byproduct of his guilt, though again the idea of him being this sort of gestalt superhuman(since i think his fallen comrades must have been SH themselves, given how the only living person that call him 'brother' is Bernhardt) sound cool, yet unlikely, the Eye could have definitely mention something about it on the two dead ends it recognized Malik as a threat.

About Indra/Malik fighting, i'm actually more hyped about it now, since Indra would most likely incarnate the second apostle, Malik is after all an Aberrant Existence, perfect match for a zealot like Indi, not to mention Malik being compared to a Sun(and at the end of this update creating one) and the Second being refered as "Sun Eater"

Actually instead of being the source of his power I was instead thinking that the souls within him would act as a way of keeping him from becoming an avatar of the Second ( yes I believe Malik ( or atleast the creatue that got him turned ) is a spawn of Second ).

The Eye did say Malik was : '' Completed, but kept whole by faith ''.
''Completed'' in this context likely means Malik is far enough evolved to become an avatar of his Apostle, but ''kept whole by faith'' could be that his consciousness and that of those who died for his sake are keeping him from ascending, like an anchor.

Hell maybe that's the reason they were sacrificed in the first place, to keep Malik, a level 5 perfect superhuman from becoming an avatar.
Ofc my theory has some holes, I mean the rituals for becoming an avatar need to consensual, but maybe the Second is powerful enough to force his spawn into submitting, so that's why Malik, Xanthe, or someone else performed a sacrifice on Malik, to keep that from happening, who knows

I think the MC's powers are particularly hard to imagine how they could develop into something stronger. He's dependent on what the writer gives him in a way that other characters' aren't. Which I know sounds weird, they're all dependent on what the writer lets them do, but hear me out. Most of the characters' powers are self-contained. They source only from themselves and how they've developed them. That makes it conceivable how they'd get stronger. They'll do what they're currently doing, but more powerful and with more finesse and maybe some more creative applications. It's easy to think of ways Alice could direct her growth, for example. Better barriers, more space-warping, golems like Danu and Aos have, etc.

But the MC's powers are based on something external to him. He has to work with what biology he's found to copy. Like, if he wants to improve his blades, he can't really develop that on his own. He doesn't have the fine control. He has to find something that has better blades than what he's working with, and if he can't, too bad for him. He doesn't get to have better blades. And it's not like we have a compendium of every monster in the setting and every potentially useful biological trait they possess, so the MC's potential growth is kind of a blank space. We don't know what he might someday be capable of, which since his foes have well-defined feats of power to compare him to, makes it hard to think he'd ever reach them.
