Hello folks,

After discussing the future of my small project with a few people today and encountering different opinions, I have a few questions that I would like to ask and discuss here:

Question #1 Realism

What do you think about realism in terms of content implementation? We all know why we are interested in these games, and it's not because we are expecting Pulitzer Prize-winning writing. But does it make the gaming experience worse for you if, for example, a woman acts unrealistically and practically throws herself at you, or is realism more of a hindrance because then we could just go outside and build our harem in real life? How do you see the whole thing? Would you prefer an unrealistic action for the sake of more of the delicious content we love?

Question #2 Decisions

This question is about game decisions for you as a player. How much is enough? Should the player be heavily involved, with more options per story part, which of course would extend the update work time but offer more storylines, or should there be fewer decisions and more following the developer's story?

Thank you for participating in this small survey, and I look forward to your feedback.

Question #1: I think balance is key here. If all of the women are just instantly infatuated, the game will get a bit boring. However, as you said, it doesn't need to be actually realistic.

Question #2: I would say the number of choices is less important that the choices we do get actually making a difference.

for question 1 i prefer to see a buildup of the relationship makesence for the character like if there is a virgin character her imediate jumping mc can feel out of place not saying that cant be justified i justlike seeing it stay consistant to their personality

for question 2 i like choices to get variation in the story but i think implemnting them too soon can be bad and lead to dev time that takes too long where people can forget about the game for me though the most important choices are with the sexual acts i always like when a dev gives choices to avoid things im not into

I'm pretty sure the model used for Libby is based on the actress Brianne Davis. I saw her recently in the tv show Six.

starting a game, abandon it for some time, then rewrite everything. did that ever work out for any game? :cautious:
It wasn't abandoned. Just because something gets marked that way here doesn't mean the label reflected reality. Also, a part of the hold-up was my fault; I somehow lost track of needing to edit the script for several months last year. That does not mean work was not being done on the game.

As for the rewriting, I'll let Phil answer that if he wishes, but much of it was based on feedback about content and characters in the game. Listening to what players want from the game — without trying to please everyone, but focusing on what the majority say — does sound like a good idea to me if you want something to be successful. It's definitely a balance: trying to please enough players to grow a following, but not letting a single player derail the progress / development of the game. That was one of the goals of the rewrite.

got no intention of derailing anything. just saying that rewriting and changing game structure never ended well for any game i know. player input is helpful, sure. but it´s better to listen to players and adjust the game going forward(unless something is seriously wrong with gameplay or coding)

my main concern is when a game already has a decent amount of content, a rewriting of the story means i have to wait for a couple of updates until the story is at a point where it was 2 years ago.

all the best for the developer, i have just seen it way too often to have much hope for it in the long run.

The one thing I hope we don't get are forced sex scenes but I'm probably in the minority with not liking those.

Just like I'm probably in the minority that prefers love interests who aren't in love with the mc after five seconds lol.
It doesn't matter tho because They could throw a hundred girls at me and I would just push them outta the way to get to Libby.

as for realism. No to this question, YES to a bit more Real. there are Hundreds of Unrealistic games here and
few that give a FEEL of a realistic relationship. but it is ? a porn game, so there's that.

Question #2: I would say the number of choices is less important that the choices we do get actually making a difference.
i'll double down on that.

Question #1: The story doesn't have to be the best but there should be somewhat realistic even if the tropes are basic. Harem brings in the clicks but has to be a option and not all girls have to be a part of. Some girls can be the single girlfriend storyline such as Libby. whereas Mel would be open to harem so can be a part of a hare. This is where Q2 comes in

Question #2: Decisions are always good and a score system is also good. But some games become too grindy for stats. That doesn't work. Decisions with multiple endings also give replayability. Being a Dik is very good at the decisions system. But it maybe very difficult to implement. Acting Lessons might be more easy. Leap of Faith also has a good system.

I myself am neutral on harems, so I wouldn't weigh in on that topic specifically. (Also, the proofreader, I don't feel like I can vote without biases that might not be reflective of general consensus about what folks want from the game.) I don't care one way or the other. I play probably an equal number of harem as solo-path games and enjoy them all as long as the story is decent or better and things don't get ridiculous (every girl basically saying, "I have been waiting for someone to come along so they can rail me good an hard, MC!", for example).

"Realism" is a commonly used phrase by cu... to add more dicks to a game :coffee:

Question #1
That should really go into what the game is going to be about and what kinds of things in detail that the game will focus on or center around. Realistic is good for alot of themes most games to play now are like here but say a space themed game I mean it is on the dev to do what is shown and it is what it is. THE BEST ANSWER IS TO MAKE AND DECIDE THE GAME YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR TIME DOING AND WOULD ACTUALLY SIT DOWN AND CHOOSE IT TO DOWNLOAD YOURSELF AND STICK IT OUT. If you start doing what others say you will never get anywhere with it cause it will never please someone and they will complain no matter what it is just to bitch about it so do what you want and if they like and play they will or they will hate and bash it but who cares about those turds who live for and to hate any and all things they can and can do one thing and show how they can make themselves lnown for wishing they were anything else but sad sacks of loser shits and sit around looking for others work they can bring down to feel any better bout their own life
Question #2
THIS IS AND ONLY CAN BE SAID
SORRY FOR ALL CAPS MY CAPS IS STUCK
IF I MAKE A CERTAIN CHOICE THAT FLAT OUT IS A CERTAIN THING DO NOT MAKE BIT STILL DO WHAT I DID NOT CHOOSE TO DO DO NOT FORCE A PATH IF IT IS NOT PICKED. I DIDN'T WANT TO DO WHATEVER SO 2 LINES LATER I CANNOT DO THAT SO YEP I HAVE NO CHOICE IN FIRST PLACE! DO NOT MAKE THE FUTURE CERTAIN AND THEN GIVE A PLAYER A 2ND PICK TO GO AND NO OTHER WAY IS THERE AND IT ACTED IT WAS BUT OHH NOPE DO IT MY WAY NOT YOURS. TO GIVE A CHOICE MEANS JUST THAT, IF YOU INTEND ON A MC TO SAY EVERYTHING IN A SCENE DO NOT MAKE IT BE PICKED IN THAT SCENARIO CAUSE THIS IS AND CAN BE MEANT IN A SCRIPT AND A PLOT OVERALL SO IF IT IS YES DONT MAKE ONLY NO PATH

1. For my part, I would make it both realistic and not so realistic, this with the different LIs, an example of a LI the development of the relationship starts slowly and stays that way, this depends on the personality that it has in a real way and not the one that can appear and so is the one that is thrown at you directly, because I just want to have fun and enjoy, but this only at the beginning, because little does one fall in love with the MC and vice versa because in addition to having fun in a casual way, they are always there and they support each other and thus various realistic and unrealistic scenarios can be given, the important thing is that in the end the girls accept the MC being with other girls (Harem) either because they see that the MC can give love, or because he is good at sex and so various things with other girls.

2. Regarding question 2, to save work for you as a developer and for us as readers (analysts, thinkers and more, hahaha) make decisions only about the most important ones and the content you want to avoid, such as: the lesbianism among LIs, foot fetishes, anal sex and so on, that kind of thing that not everyone likes (personally I'm fine with almost everything) if lesbianism is avoidable, fine, if not, since it can be done in the end it's up to you story, game at the end one should only enjoy the content, however if it is open to suggestions it is more than fine (request NO lesbians, NTR please)
