The work is going exceptionally well, I have found a new plug-in for the game engine which is helping to speed things along nicely. I've mostly been switching between posing and creating the artwork to help move things along. (It can really burn me out just sticking to doing one too long).
Still not sure on a date yet, but I will try my very best to get a pinpoint on an estimate when I can!
Lostraven will now be working on the Chantelle script. We thought we'd talk to you about the future of Taffy Tales a little on a pretty hot button topic, (yes, that one). For too long we've left a certain portion of our fanbase in the dark on what's happening with NTR, and when it's coming, and while we've still got a longgggg way to go before it's introduction, (with Three Mega updates and our Supreme Pie update to come first), we felt it's time to finally talk about what's the plan to integrate it.
I can now confirm, the Chantelle update will bring in NTR.
WAIT WAIT! Before you throw stones at me, let me explain the plan...
The Chantelle Script is going to be a double script combined into one update, one for 'Netori' on the main route, and one for straight-up 'NTR' on the NTR Route.
It will allow on the 'main' route, the chance for players to steal Chantelle and humiliate Darnell as your conflict with him continues to spiral into chaos. It will have a heavy 'Netori' focus.
BUT, the other half of the script, will begin the NTR route (for players choosing that route). Where Darnell will 'steal' one of the girls.
So, the choice will be yours, humiliate Darnell, or be humiliated by him, Taffy Tales is all about choice, and tailoring the experience to what suits you.
You'll never be forced onto the NTR route, it's 'one choice' in-game that basically says 'Do you want to play the NTR route or not?' That is it, if you end up on the NTR route, you chose it willingly.

I am asking if they are going with a direct Non-NTR and an NTR/Sharing route from the first choice you make in the phonecall or not. Or will the Mary and Darnell kind of choice keeps popping through the storyline as we progress.
Thank you! You quoted something from September 2019. The post I shared from the discord was made January 2020, so unless they change direction -- "you will be giving a very direct question in-game whether you want to enter into that route, if you say no, you will not be asked again."
You're beating a nearly year old dead horse about Mary/Darnell. It was a fuck up, they admitted it, and they quickly fixed it. This is a game that is in development - hiccups happen.
As for Chantelle, directly --
In October of 2019, LostRaven stated that he had "Finished the Chantelle script" and that the "Chantelle update would be split between the two. (half main update, half NTR)." In March 2020, LostRaven stated the storyline for "Chantelle is planned after Tiffany" and that "Chantelle hasn't had sex with anyone in the game yet." In June 2020, he states that the supporters poll result showed "Danny and his sister beat Chantelle and the first NTR route" for the who gets updated before the other. There are a few other statements made by LostRaven - but not many and mainly corroborate what I have already quoted.
Based upon the September 2019 post you shared, the January 2020 Discord post and the quotes I found above, it sounds as though we still may have quite awhile to wait for the Chantelle update. When the NTR route does come - it sounds like you get asked just once and if you choose not to take that third route, you won't get asked again.
The phonecall decides if the NTR route is enabled or not. Going to the doc will get rid / subdue the alter ego of MC, making him the cuck.
Similarly, helping Darnell after hes bleeding in some alleyway will enable the friendship route, where you can be bros and banh hoes together (if you want).
Both NTR and friendship routes are quite far away anyway. According to polls, more patrons prefer to be chads instead of cucks, which is why the NTR content keeps getting delayed. I guess that the dev is now looking to complete the main route, and then adding the NTR and friendship.
Feels like you're missing my point so I'm gonna say it here. I'm not doing the "NTR/Non-NTR" flamewar over here. I think you're assuming that I am and referenced this topic "is volatile" because of that. If people are bothered by a question just answer it or ignore it. Simple as that. I'm asking about Choices through the storyline. Are they going to keep showing up after you made your choice during the phonecall with the doc. I used Mary/Darnell as a reference to my question. I'm not bothered if there is NTR or Not im a game where its completely optional.
So are they going back to the originally planned story? Choices during the phonecall and thats it? Just that one time? Because that post you mentioned plus the dead horse i dragged just make it to three times the game asked us if we want to go for NTR/Sharing path. This is why I'm a little confused.
My thought was that once you picked the choice from the phonecall was, you are commiting into a single playthrough unhindered be that NTR or Not. So that is why I'm asking since it still being prompted after making your choice. And wether or not the dev plans to change the gameplay in the future to look exactly like the other Harem or Netorare game where you get to pick and chose which girl to keep or not.
Yeah I know that NTR or Harem path is from that phonecall. I didn't know helping Darnell would also be a flag to route change. Thanks for that man.

Danny's sister has not appeared in the game at this time. Only Danny and his cosplay character Vivian.
I think the reason for our miscommunication is that the storyline and development are not near completion. What you lay out in your supposition of the three paths sounds viable, at this time - but it could be implemented differently.
What we do know is that there is no NTR path (fleshed out except for that one premature moment in a previous update that was fixed) nor a friendship path at this time. Only the first main path. Based upon what Ashley has stated and what has been presented to date, it appears it will be a bit of time before the second and third paths are even activated (outside of the little slip up that happened earlier this year). Everything else at this time is pure conjecture and since this is a game in development, there will most likely be adjustments to the project as time goes on.
We will most likely be told by the developer when the other paths are in place and the Changelog will let us know how to trigger those paths. I would even expect that previous save files will have issues once the new paths are activated - as should always be anticipated in a game that is under development. Worrying about it now seems like much ado about nothing.

- Yes to Trap = Danny in a dress,
- No to Trap = Danny goes away and is replaced by his sister

The Kinsey scale relates to a theory of sexual fluidity, not to a specific survey/poll, I do get a little triggered when people cite things like "most people", "everyone" and "normal" without data to back it up, it wasn't all about the trigger though, I'd genuinely be interested in seeing the results of a respectible study regarding sexual bias, seems like one should be viable now we have a better expectation of privacy and less pressure to follow conservative lifestyles. Just a matter of figuring out who might be unbiased enough to conduct an honest one without trying to push an agenda.

Yeah if the dev plans to do the game that way it does give flexibility and choices that would actually cater to all routes easily. I just hope its as simple as a single prompt wether you want this girl or not ( like the danny prompt) and not too overcomplicated like the other harem VNs where they have this "point" tracking. Then forcing me to rely on walkthroughs or walkthrough mod to avoid making wrong choices.

(I've lost count of the number of times I've picked say, the "cheeky" option, just to later find out it was actually the "I'm a little bitch, please cuck me" option )

- a check box in the main menu [x] Turn off NTR (for the Anti-NTR zealots)

Yeah having an option like that would totally make the game a whole lot easy for Non-NTR fans however i would like to have see which girls are available before i decide it. As for the Danny prompt in the game you are given the option to choose wether to go along a Danny route or not based from the picture in his room if i remember correctly. Now I imagine the game would be having more options like those for every single girls (or boys) so we cn decide who to keep and who to ignore. Its presented with a warning as well what the choice would imply Peter would be doing. So in my opinion that simple choice makes it easier for me than the one you mentioned they presented in other VN. Ok I remember the Danny prompt you are talking about now, and I tend to disagree with that kind of carte blanche blocking (It's fine for major fetish routes, but a main/preferences menu check box would work better and wouldn't rely on people not accidently clicking though text).
I'd prefer a more circumstantial system, if she is being boring or annoying then "the other guy" can have her with my blessing, if "the other guy" tries to crow about it, I want the ability to steal her back or atleast fill her with cum, so the next time he eats her out he gets to know the taste of real victory.
