Bathhouse in the afternoon should have an event in the girls side of the bath. Work->Bath->Nameable Male Character in the bottom left of the village.
I'm stuck at the same place. This doesn't advance the story. It's at the end of the "second phase" (the phase where the MC starts to have sex). I've explored the two towns but I can't find any new event to trigger :/
Have you done all of these? That should be enough. I reached lvl 3 pretty easy by doing these and also working at both of the shops in town along with the pub. Also propositioned the guy at the top of the town for a discount during the morning.
