I think we can ignore that part since it looks like a straightforward punishment when you choose to either send him or go yourself. You only learn later that the cave is filled with horny women. When Thim comes back from the cave, he refuses to talk about what happened but also seems kind of smug. He could be happy that he got laid, but he could also be happy that you didn't get laid.
Was going to point that out. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Y'all read his reaction very differently than I did, I guess. What you read as smug I saw as resent. It is true I only saw his reaction once just out of curiosity and it was back when that part of the game was first released, so maybe your memory is fresher than mine, but I remember him looking upset and not smug.

Edit: I just did a quick run to that scene (took less than five minutes) at the end it says that later when he was asked about it, he had a shit-faced grin. I don't remember that line being there the first time I played that scene, but it was a long time ago. It could still go either way, but on its own it's not super strong. I still think it can fit in the full cumulative case, no one piece of evidence is enough, but when you see all of the events together, I still think it paints a picture.

Resentment with shades of disgust... that is what I remember. Difficult to get a read on Thim though. His general demeanor is stuck up, arrogant with heavy shades of smugness. Yet, I remember his subtle look of disgust as he looked our way as we exited the alien sex den... It was like he knew what we had done and it sickened Thim.

Checked it too. The expression, to me, seems to imply that he got the sex orgy there me but he simply never bothered to share details with Canram because of their mutual animosity.

On the topic of alien sex caves, I hope those yellow alien women make a comeback so we can see them all pregnant.
In my opinion, unless it is somehow related to the story i hope not. The cast is already way too big and the story also needs to keep moving for them to lose time like that.

I don't know, the R'o (cave aliens) could show back up as part of a coalition, for lack of a better term, that the crew can use to fight back against the interstellar powers arrayed against them. Thinking about the various aliens and factions the crew has met and worked with and it seems possible that depending on your choices some may show up to help in a final conflict. It's a common sci-fi troupe. The R'o are one, they are space faring they just aren't really interested in it like other races but if you help the ladies in the cave escape then maybe that will change. Jade is a Twi'll princess, and we just heard about some of her free people that we might meet with and that'd be another group. We have an in with the Rhenkoy, we aided the Tubloshi, we could unite the Acarhyn and turn them against their new allies and have them join us maybe. Basically, we've got a lot of possible friends and allies already and that isn't taking into account anything that will happen between now and the last season. I wouldn't be surprised if season two is largely about find new allies and reconnecting with allies we already have.

Could be wrong but I just think it would make sense story wise.

Thim is a silver spoon career man guy who was all set to make admiral by his career freaks of parents.
MC was bestowed with all the good things a tycoon and his stellar wife were enjoying.
MC and his babes are only required to be alive for their pa to make it big in the council.
His total lack of preservation and allowing his property be just kidnapped and scattered across the stars
is what made him the laughing stalk of his group.

Thim hates MC because MC made his own life, his own rules, loving his Twi”ll rather than loathing her,
making personal relations with manyh of his camrades rather than despise them.

Thim was despised because he was gonna make it big no matter how lunatic and unpleasant he was.
Thim despise everyone because they had something to strive for, while he had everything made
but it was nothing he ever saw for himself, he was his family brand, their insignia, their flagship.

While I wasn't trying to make the case for Thim's sexuality. I think he's gay but a case could be made for asexual, either way it seems like I got a discussion going. So, I'll let the reasons for why I came to the conclusion I did out:

1. He says he turned down his own Twi'll servant despite the fact that having one would be fully expected for a man of his status. Now you could say he is just a good guy who saw that it was sex slavery, but it seems like his father's issue with Thim rejected the Twi'll was that Thim wasn't having sex with her. It seems like Thim's father wanted to make sure he was having sex with her, and he wasn't and that was the point of contention. It some ways like a dad who might get a hooker to try and turn his gay son straight only to then bang the hooker himself in front of the son to "punish him."
2. He makes it clear you have *nothing* to worry about with him and Vess sharing a room. Again, could just be Thim being a decent guy and making it clear he won't take advantage of her. This is a weaker point of evidence, but it is there.
3. He is extremely pissed if he has to go into the cave with the alien chicks.
4. Thim's reaction to you joking about him looking at porn is also either pointing at him being gay or asexual. Though his reactions and words during that conversation leans more towards asexual I think it builds cumulatively towards homosexual.
5. There are other things but those boil down to Thim's facial expressions, his lines of dialog in certain moments, and the way he acts in conversations. I'd have to replay the whole game to collect them all and I'm not in the mood for that right now. I just remember that with the few bigger things and the accumulation of small things as we interacted with him over the course of season one it just gave me the feeling that he was gay. For example, his early antagonism towards the MC could be because of suppressed attraction he has towards a guy who he thinks will never recuperate his feelings. Again, on it's own that's just an idea, but all together I think it adds to the case.

It could just be me, but this would seem very out of character for Celine.

Edit: I found the console command ep011_raene_talk = False to fix the issue

I Just finished chapter 12 and didn't want a path with Raene. Under relations it said no. So I start playing chapter 13 now and for Raene it still said no until I got to the 1st scene where you can click to visit members of the crew. I finished everyone elses then went to see what Raene wanted and they started making out saying they wanted each other with no cnoice from me and it changed his/her status to yes. I didn't choose that, is there a way to keep it at no? I have the multimod installed. On part one it gave you the option to turn paths on or off, but I dont see that option on chapter 13

The mod speciffically tells you it is intended to help you be with as many honeys as possible.
The mod is not meant to snob any hottie like you seem to wanna do.

  • Allows to follow multiple paths at once or see alternative scenes.

I found another post with the same issue. The console command ep011_raene_talk = False fixed it
