I'm going to share my experience with this game as I play it. Hopefully the developer finds this information useful.

(1) ".... and infamous ladies' man, as he makes his way through a fantasy world full of horny babes (noblewomen, female soldiers, peasant girls, slutty bandits)....."

So you already start out with maximum seduction skill. Where's the sexual growth? It sounds like all you have to do to get the girl is press "fuck her" and that's it. Not a good first impression. Okay, let's try to be fair. Geralt of Rivia was an infamous ladies man, he went around screwing everyone, but the game's combat is where he improved and got stronger, but Witcher series was not a porn game. His seduction / dating wasn't the games primary focus. So immediately I think that the game's seduction will be TOO EASY, handed to you on a silver platter, that's a negative. I don't want it to be too easy to get the girl, that's boring.

EDIT: Yup, you get the sex way too ease, without having to do anything, stupid.

(2) "Install the SHERWOOD.TTF font that comes with the game by double-clicking on it and hitting the 'Install' button up near the top..."

It looks like the dev already fixed this problem....

Sooo, get rid of this text file and font files, since you already fixed the problem, unless it's a pre-caution of some kind for old operating systems maybe? Get rid of the readme.txt, save-game location.png(put this tutorial in game), and get rid of the font file, since it's already in the correct folder.

That save-game location.png is considered a form of TUTORIAL. You shouldn't have tutorials in a folder as an image, and expect people to double click that. Better to include the tutorial in the actual game.

(3) Okay, the Sherwood.TTF file is working. I didn't need to manually install it. BTW: This main menu screen is beautiful. However, is the image of the characters being stretched somehow? It feels like the characters-image-width is being stretched, I could be wrong.

Overall, this main menu is better than most RPGMaker games, nice! Very nice. Great first impression.

This loading screen flashes for a second right before the main menu. Not good. Only show this load screen if you know it will take a while to load the files. That condition can be checked on file count perhaps or total file size. Not sure what RPGmaker lets you do here.

(4) This text is too small. You're automatically going to lose potential patreons over this accessibility issue. There's got to be a Yanfly plugin somewhere to allow the player to change the font size.

CRITICAL: Double the font size and split the amount of text in half.

So the above text gets split into two clicks. One click shows half of the above text. Then on the next message window, it shows the rest. Double the font size and split the amount of text shown in half. This is critical.

So it should look like this:

That will automatically help you get more patreons. If you don't believe me, study the concept of software accessibility, especially in regards to readability. Don't bombard the user with too much text. You can have lots of text if you want, but don't hit them all at once with too much text. Let them absorb a few sentences at a time.

(5) I changed this part in photoshop. It's easier to make a decision when you present a one sentence dilemma, instead of a large wall of text.

The fact you're showing the player a tutorial, teaching them how to play, that's AWESOME. That's definitely the right track.


(6) Can you guess why I made the number 5 yellow in this photoshop edit? See where I'm going with this? If a dialogue option actually sets some kind of flag, a decision made of some kind, perhaps change the number to a different color. Anyways, obviously number 5 moves the conversation forward, while options 1-4 probably don't set any flags and are just there for the sake of immersion.

(7) DIALOGUE BRANCH HELL. Too many choices without the player being properly invested into the character. Too much, too soon.

I literally find myself spamming random dialogue choices to get to something interesting. Showing a background of a forest overlay doesn't make for interesting conversation.

Let's study a triple A game that generated millions and millions in revenue. A game with heavy roleplaying:

Notice how there's no dialogue choice hell. You can still RP with meaning, without bombarding the user.

(8) How do you check the quest log from here, to know what to do next?

Can someone post the changelog?
A bunch of bugfixes/tweaks/optimizations, and 1 new (footdom) lewd scene.

So either fix the description properly or show more of the girls in the game.
We'll be adding more girls in time.

Although RPGM can't achieve CRPG-style combat,this game still gives me the feeling of playing Pillars of Eternity or Wrath of the Righteous.

I could take apart your "critique" line by line (most of it is just pointless whining and subjective bias), but honestly there's no point; you come into this thread every time we release a build, write a wall of text about everything you hate, call our game "shit", insult us / our work, and then leave as if you've contributed anything worth of note. Nevermind that most of the stuff you complain about is either (A) already explained in the game but you chose to ignore it; (B) is actively being worked on; (C) stems purely from your own personal bias; or (D) all of the above. We're not going to change literally the entire concept of our game just to cater to your taste. Maybe if you were polite I'd engage with you on fair footing, but since you're not then I'm not even gonna bother.

We get it, you hate ToLLA - just move on with your life already and go play something else.

I agree with you 100%... it's just that we all work 9-5 jobs and development happens in sporadic bursts so it's difficult to do small(er) updates when a lot of the time our schedules don't sync up due to IRL stuff (we do try to get together at least 1-2 times a month on weekends, but IRL responsibilities sometimes get in the way). Also, ToLLA is an RPG with a lot of interconnected system, and it's such a pain in the ass trying to do mini-updates (all of which require their own testing cycles to ensure they don't break something in the game). And having to stick to a monthly release schedule put a huge amount of stress on our main artist (she works in a highly competitive field with lots of overtime and demanding clients), so we didn't want to stress her out further. It's for all these reasons that we bundle the content once it's ready, test it over a week or two, and then release a huge mega-update every couple of months. Hopefully once the team grows a bit more (if funding allows) we'll try and delegate some of the work to other people so the load gets spread out a bit and we're able to do quicker releases.

You don't really need it, the current content ends when you hand in the supplies and go to enter the Fort.


He's inside Fort Ninevus - that area isn't part of the game yet, it's the next map we'll be releasing.


Haha yeah he's a smug bastard! :LOL: But he plays fair - he won't cheat or lie to you about the riddles, if you guess correctly he keeps track of it, and rewards you fairly at the end (depending on how well you did).


The current build ends when you hand in the resources and enter the Fort, so you don't really need a save for it right now, just enjoy the content up to that point. As for your question: it's because you're supposed to gather resources casually on the side as you're exploring the other maps and solving quests (and banging girls). But right now there's only 2 maps, and the scripting for the resource nodes is attached only to the ones in the 1st map, so I understand why it can feel a bit tedious. Gathering resources will be a lot more relaxed when the next large content update is released (we're also going to be adding another exterior map once we get around to it).

Thanks, glad you had fun! As for the foot scenes, they're mostly tied to the sub path since it's kinda hard to justify a maledom/romance path getting footdom'd like that. Maybe we could add some gentle foot worship to the romance path, but I just don't see how it'd make sense for the maledom one. You got any suggestions? Main issue here is keeping things tonally consistent (it would be kind of jarring to see your maledom Captain choking and slapping women in one scene, then worshipping their feet in another).


You can stop his little game after every riddle, he even tells you this. But if you want max rewards then you gotta do all (or most) of his puzzles.

To me the foot fetish thing is more of a intimacy thing then an dom/sub thing, if that makes sense? like a couple feeling comfortable with exploring each others bodies kinda thing. So yeah, i think it would fit on the romance route.

Overall though, i think the art in your game, as multiple ppl have said, looks amazing and even if i'm not the biggest fan of dom/sub dynamics i still think its worth checking out!

i'm excited for the next big update and as soon as i get a more stable financial situation i'm heavily considering backing the project on patreon, since i'm quite a big baldur's gate fan! wish you guys the best with the development.

Good game so far, even though it's still in the early stages, I hope this is a successful project. I'm really enjoying the characters (their artwork is amazing) and the world-building, especially the lore/world-building as I'm always a sucker for those aspects of stories. However, I do have a personal gripe within the game. I'm not sure if this was already mentioned by one of the developers or not, but will there be a glossary and/or bio of sorts? There's a lot of information to take into consideration from the dialogues, since our choices are going to shape how the world views my character and the company I keep, I wish to be able to recollect, at least, some of the data we accumulated from the conversations, which are indeed informational yet very long.

Does anyone know if there a way to make the game use less power. I'm on an older device and this game drains my battery even when I am plugged in. It results in a plugged in but not charging situation for me. Not sure if this just means its draining more power than I'm charging or not. But any tips to make it drain less power would be appreciated.

Yeah, we definitely want to have an in-game Codex for all the lore (factions, locations, magic, geography, history, etc.).

True, there's a bunch of info to absorb. We'll be adding both a Codex and Journal (for keeping tabs on quests). But we gotta finish the quest & lewds content for the first portion of the game before we move onto UI. For the time being just treat the game as a visual novel... RPG/UI elements will be added once we're finished with the core content layer.

Amazing game so far, I can't wait to see more updates on this project.

We have about 5% of the lewd content dedicated to exotic encounters like futas & dickgirls (the green she-orc from the promo bannners/wallpapers is one such example). But if you mean "trans" like IRL then no; ToLLA is a high-fantasy setting with lots of magic, so anyone who wants to transition from one sex to another does it instantly and completely through spells or potions. The futas & dickgirls in our game are more like a unique 3rd gender (either natural or magical), than a transitory one. The only exception would be femboys, but those are basically effeminate men and I don't think they fall under the "trans" label. :unsure:

We'll definitely have a few scalies & furries in there, it makes sense given the fantasy setting (both for NPCs and companions). As far as sex-scene frequency, we're planning about 1 lewd encounter per 1 hour of gameplay, just to keep things intereting. We're getting there... slow and steady wins the race! ;)

Game looks good, how much time of content is there right now?
About 6-8 hours of content, including 2 lewd scenes (1 huge CYOA with multiple paths, and 1 dedicated femdom scene).

Does anyone know if there a way to make the game use less power.
Try tweaking your system settings. Just Google it, you'll get plenty of how-to guides.
