Finding games with alien girls or even ubiquitous monster girls, that are not just repainted humans is kinda hard indeed. Closest you get to teraurge is indeed TiTS, almost all content youre interested in is located on Myrellion planet. If you're looking for monster girls that are more "monster" than "girls", choice games is wider, but still scarce. Check out Monster Girl Quest, that game has cult following (for some reason), and most girl designes are quite monstrous indeed. Unfortunately art is very uneven on that one. Then you can check Slave Matrix - good simple MG breeding simulator. Also I can quite recomment Zell's Forest Of Blue Skin. That's very neat MG themed platformer, with "catch them all" idea. Some of MG designs in FoBS are very much to my liking. Oh and don't forget Amy from Monster Girls Dreams. Whole game is extremely vanilla, but that one girl is exactly what you're looking for, so just speedrun through that game to reach her, cause she's in the very end unfortunately.

Check out the Blogspot blog link on the front page. MD has been putting up a new blog post every 2 weeks or so, almost always with new art and stuff.
Check the blog, dev used to post about the game every 2 weeks but his last entry was a month ago.
maybe flexible survival? most of the enemies are anthro but there are also some feral creatures and taurs.
The last update on the blog was over a month ago, but Meandraco does art streams on the regular.

Yeah, it's a shame that progress is so slow considering how much I love this game but it's just some guy's hobby project. I'm even a patron of the guy but I'm not really going to hold him accountable to some high standard considering the circumstances. I'll just be happy when it gets updated.

The event you're referring to is definitely an unexpected trauma-inducer if you're playing the game blind.
There are multiple outcomes and stat checks. Your character might have had enough stats to succeed one way, but you chose an option that ended up checking stats you were deficient in.

I watch his twitter ever now and again and he is a busy bee, to bad it takes so much time to implement all that he is making, oh well personal life always takes priority in my opinion.

You have to be mean with her before fighting her. Tell her you know the witch. don't plead with her not to do it just threaten to kill her or fight her. Then win the fight. The pc will tie her up (you don't need rope in your inventory for this) then the scene can happen. At least, that's what I'm getting from the coding.
I dont know if this has been asked before but, can the player character, male or female, be raped by creatures or characters in the game and/or are there plants to implement such content?

The only one I know of where the MC is raped is during the cave quest with Shyni as a male character. Have her touch the bowl, resist the blade as she attacks you, then let her ride you.
Other than that, it's the MC that's the rapist, not the raped. Losing to creatures will either result in the creature leaving or trying you kill you.
As for future plans; not sure. I don't recall him saying there's plans specifically for this but it could. Considering the rate that the game is updated, I'd say this. If you're looking for a game where the MC is raped, Teraurge probably isn't the best option to scratch that particular itch.
This game is so amazing. I absolutely love the artwork and how the characters feel real. I've been playing it for a few hours by now. I also love how the characters here are truly monster/alien-like. It sometimes goes into their biology too which is very interesting. I am very surprised with this.
