So all the kids will grow up together and bond. Now add that they most likely all will be powerfull psionics...what dangers would they or their homeworld face. With Garret's generous spending of his genes the Antares clan could probably take on the entirety of the Otai.

Who says Cade's stories would take place on Caeria? Galaxy is a large place. Wouldn't you want to explore the stars if you had the opportunity to do so? And while the kids would be close to each other, that doesn't mean some of them don't go to their native planets and try to make them better (or worse, never know with some people) places. It isn't like there is much they can do actually to stop them if they want to leave...

The species I've shown so far, including the major and minor species, represent maybe 2% of the Galaxy at best. What is a thousand-planet empire in a galaxy that has over 100 billion stars (thus star systems)? I'm going with NASA's estimate. The number varies between 100 and 400 billion stars depending on the source. Even an empire with 10 000 star systems is a drop in the ocean. So there are bound to be species and beings that are even stronger than Ot'ai or even individuals stronger than Garrett out there in one way or another.

EDIT: Also, be mindful. Caeria was full of life, and it was inhabited by a sapient species, and one day they were wiped out. By who? That hasn't been answered... also there is the origin of the machines still left to uncover.
