I seems you still need to register to be able to sue someone, so I still doubt you are in any real danger here unless the author explicitly registers and then takes the time and money to sue you for copyright infringement. If that was a common occurrence, this site would not exists lol

The main thing to keep in mind is that it costs money to sue. The devs whose games are pirated here just can't afford to do so. Laws are made by and for the rich.
If they were able and willing to do so though, people using bittorrent would be liable to pay more, because when using torrents you are not just downloading but also illegally distributing.

Development is progressing, they put a small hint (GitHub pull request) in their official Discord server. Basically we know there's progress being made and maybe a release is coming soon
