Can you give me an example of what you do not consider cheap 3rd grade coloring book stuff? Like what would you actually like to see in the game?

How would you like it if you took a road trip in a Cadillac then stop for gas and come out and now your in a Corolla
Dunno, I'd pay less for the gas at the next stop and I'll get there without my car breaking down?
I admit though, that if I had something like Eldorado and someone would switch it for Corolla, I'd probably be really really sad, I always wanted one of these. (I wouldn't take it out for a road trip though.)
LoL he had the exact same thought as me...... like Uhhhhhh I'd be happy because I saved 40 bucks on gas?
The real car analogy for people's complaints on game would be more like a road trip in something cool exotic and strange that got replaced by vanilla - you were taking a roadtrip in a Youabian Puma and suddenly found yourself in a Focus

I like the 3D. Perhaps a different style or editing/filtering process could get the dev where they want?
I don't have a problem with 2D/handdrawn in general -- some of the best dark/horror games have custom art, although it's usually a lot more moody/stylized -- but I'd agree with the comments that a more dark/horror style is critical and the provided examples might not be there yet.
Still, I'll definitely play another chapter to check it out.
P.S. I'm sure this will be a controversial suggestion at best, but if 3D is definitely off the table: there have been 1-2 heavily filtered/edited real-porn horror games that still worked. They used very dark imagery, with a lot of focus on micro-elements (e.g., partial body shots) and blurry images to create a proper mood (versus trying to repurpose whole scenes from actual, cheesy porn). I'd go that route before I went with bright cartoon art.

Guys, for me, both 3D and 2D are good, like: this game here is wonderful, I'm not one to choose each game has its positive points

I agree, I think he should pay more attention to these games Karacan and The Cure for Madness has great potential to become one of the best of its genre
but Dev has his personal life and his job so it's understandable that updates take a while unfortunately

Looking at their new Patreon post it seems they have only just started the character design of the hand-drawn remake, the new update will be months away, if it ever gets released that is..
