It's not even about my money, I pay every game and software I own and trust me, I owned a lot in my lifetime, don't have a single pirated software program on my PC. Hell, I even bought JP porn games for fun. I am happy to pay, but I will NOT pay for something that doesn't GIVE what is PROMISED and he hasn't given anything in 2 years. Don't come at me with his artwork either, the internet is full of them and they are a 1000 times better and FREE.
And besides all that, it still doesn't give you the right to tell me I can't give my damn opinion on how he is operating.
Something called FREE SPEECH, learn it you communist.

I am not trying to silent you, but just telling you that what you said is none of the patrons' business, because they are using their money. You feel the dev is not providing enough content, fine, you don't pay him. All I am saying is that you are so self-centered that want to teach people how they should spend their money, if they don't do your way, they are stupid? instead of communist, you are the dictator here?

Or you can interpret what I have said to be a nicer way to point out that someone here is self-righteous.

I am patron for quite some games for couple years. I even won't cancel the patron for games abandoned if I feel to pay more because I like that game. The reason I didn't become patron for this game simply because of its slow update, even through I like this game quite a bit. I just feel grateful that people are supporting it and the dev are still making progress. Hopefully after v0.9 update I will change my mind to be a patron of this game

Slow update is indeed a problem. The author should look for collaborators. Even if he tried before, it is not ideal

The update nearly every two years is not acceptable. I also want to be a sponsor, but I have to think carefully. If the time can be kept within one year, I will consider sponsoring after 0.9. His partner should be doing the coding, event creation and writing in RPG maker XP, which is an antique engine and editor (to put it mildly). He won't go for a port to a more modern engine because he got burned hard in the past when some inexperienced dev tried to put the game in Gamemaker 2. A port to RPG maker MV/MZ is possible, but requires higher resolution artwork, an insane amount of coding to get the game mechanics and scenes in, an insane amount of mapping and event creation. He doesn't have the budget to pay someone to do this fulltime. Someone doing it for free will get burned out within the month.

The main reason why update speed is slow is because this dev is an artist. It's way more satisfying for him to create thousands of assets for an update in the far future than to use the ancient ScaleGarden coding framework to actually put the scenes in the game and release the update.

Freedom of speech, everyone (including non-patrons) have their right to give their opinion/ reviews as long as not offending anyone. If you remove the "stupid" sentence, your post is totally fine. You pay for something you support, if you feel not worth it, it is your money, you an withdraw it anytime. Of course, you are free you write review to people who wish to become patron what to expect and decision is always up to that specific person. Criticism and offensive words are always not recommended, you convince people by facts and reasoning, not by force. For me, this game development is indeed quite slow, close to dead (if it isn't, lol).

Why do people pretend that RanneRo is some master of milking like the guy behind Wife & Mother?
You can like him or hate him for his slow progress on this game but the guy posts his work schedule for the month before the beginning of every month and actually sticks to it for almost every month. He also pauses his Patreon when he takes breaks which most devs do not do at all.
Why not just stick to the truth when shitting on the guy? Just write several paragraphs about how frustrated you are he is slow and refuses to off load some of the work he has to other people. You can even complain about how he decided to start a family mid development and that obviously slowed the game progress or complain about any number of other unreasonable expectations you had for him.

Just don't make obvious and stupid lies about the game and developer.

Stuck, need help.

I fought the bandit, recovered the poor mans money, did mining with blue hair guy and did a night of waitressing and spoke to the mayor. I skipped through his convo, but I think he said he wanted me to go to the forest and fight bandits, but I can't find where to go. Guide says "go from your house west-west-west-NORTH!", but I can only go west once; then she says there's 'nothing for her to do out there' when I try to go past the lake with the pier. I've talked to everyone else and can't go to any other forest exits, except the East but there's nothing there either.

Edit; figured it out. I had to get my sword upgraded at the item shop.

If mayor wants you to fight bandits - it should be west of your house then west after a lake and, finally, north over a bridge.

Then who gives you the right to judge patrons? given that they are the supporters of the game and you did nothing? you can say they are stupid or whatever you want, you just don't have baseline here. They do whatever with their money, you say whatever you want. This is called free market, people pay what they can for what they want. people make what they can for what they provide. you are just not part of the trade. you think he didn't provide content for the money, but he is posting new arts, and I think any patrons keep paying are happy with that. it's just you who don't pay anything thinks that the dev didn't provide content.

As for the dev, you can pay him money and go to his patrons to push him if you want. Otherwise, why should the dev care to spend a second to listen to whatever you want to say about his game or progress. Don't play the role of justice/judge, because you are not.

I hope with this new update that there's more characters where you can give you first time to I do not want to do it with boo in this new update I'd rather deal with a different character.
