We've all waited till this now in anticipation for this update, so I certainly don't mind a bit of extra time ironing out any kinks for the release itself.

Anyway, hearing release is around the corner (I mean I could be wrong, but after coder is done, all that's left I'm guessing is.....beta testing?) certainly puts me in the mood for the Carlton dance :ROFLMAO: :

Nope you are wrong. Beta testing was supposedly finished already. I don't know whats next. Whatever excuse hopes decides to come up with I guess.
Nope. You're the one who's wrong.

Yea, sounds about right.

Proofread is done as well. The new proofread (creator of one of the contracts actually, the painter.) did it really fast and well.
Adding the music and checking transition stuff right now.
Most importantly is that the alpha test/coder is going through the game and fixing the code and adding stuff. I told him no rush, because this part is important.

While the game was being proofread and edited, I couldn't really add anything to the game, so I basically just wrote on the lore part again. Got a lot in there. Think it's ready to be added. Just thinking of ways to add it.
Game is still under alpha test/coder stage as said by Hopes here (today):

I'm actually waiting like all of you guys.
The content for the game is done.
Just waiting for the coder to do his thang.

Wrote to him yesterday because I wondered if the game is abandoned. (I turned into you guys!)
He showed me the list of code changes and improvement he has done, and I am very happy.
I told him to take his time. I can survive a few bad reviews and complains for the sake of a better experience for the players. Even if it means it takes some extra days to be sent out!
You're looking to undermine Hopes, but well....gotta say, you're doing a pretty poor job at it. :ROFLMAO:

1) It's been said by Gracie (in Town Time event) that Cordia has a good working partnership Lucania's police Chief. But even if the Chief cooperates with the Family, are there individuals in the force (within precinct) who resent the whole "cooperation with a crime Family"?
If I said Lucania's police chief I misspoke. There are no police force in Lucania. Deluca Family is the enforcer. The town is a bit unique in that sense and is part of the story.

3) Will we ever see an interrogation occur within the Family mansion grounds? It's been said that Cordia disapproves of barbarism, so something like what Kaskar Family does (e.g. that Pops scene with "mole" before Jalen showed up) will most likely NOT be happening, but it makes me wonder whether any interrogation or torture tactics will still happen when needed.

Besides, we've yet to see that "Female interrogator who needs beauty sleep" from Eiza's "Can I have this?" event!
I honestly didn't really think of a character when I wrote it. More for lore building of the Family. But yeah, I probably show her down the line. Could be a fun character.

4) You said that season 2 will likely kick off with Big 5 Family meetings with the Dons/Donnas and their children. So I'm guessing that it will be likely that we're gonna see all their Consiglieres too?

Speaking of Consiglieres, do any Families have female Consigliere? I mean, considering Cordia shook up the system with the Big War, I'd assume that positions of power like Consigliere would have become more open to talented ladies as well (compared to the times of traditional system).
Perhaps. Many times the consiglieres are stand in for the bosses themselves. But not always present when the bosses themselves meet up.

There are no Female consigliere as of yet. Perhaps if I find it relevant for a Family and the story.

5) So TJ the gunsmith, in the Musala Hills event, is said to do illegal modifications for Luna's guns. Would we ever find out what sort of modifications he makes that makes them illegal (compared to.. legal modifications)?
I mean yes, there are legal and illegal firearm modifications in real life, but I'm pretty much a layman when it comes to firearms so....

But knowing Luna, would it be farfetched to believe she loves huge boost in firepower with her guns (that perhaps that's the kind of modification she asks TJ. The outrageous firepower)? Or could it be something else?
Not sure tbh. Haven't given that any real thought.

6) Regarding the "balance of power" (in terms of each Family's overall strength, influence, financial power) of each of Current Big Five, how would you balance them if each of them were given pieces out of a whole pie (100%)?

Would it be split something like the following (just taking a blind stab at it, taking into account what is shown in the game and what you revealed with Lore):

The DeLuca Fa Family : 30%
The Profaci Family : 25%
The La Fata Family : 20%
The Tradimano Family :15%
The Melfi Family : 10%

Or would balance of power be even more skewed towards in favor of DeLucas, considering Cordia went to war with all Families at the time of Luna's kidnapping by the Mysterious Six?
There aren't really any major power differences offcially.
But after Profaci lost the war against DeLuca they have less influences than power, Cordia due to her big role in The Big War has a bit more say in few matters.
But it is all marginally and the point of the system is for all Family to have their say equally. Officially that is.
There are always things behind the scenes. but that is for when we get deeper into the Story.

7) Just wanted this verified from you; is Sister Amata the other student of Cynthia (other than Luna)?
Some lines in v0.07 seems to sort of imply that to be the case (Amita saying "Amata looks up to Cynthia a bit too much", and Amita herself referring to Cynthia as "Big sis"), though if that's not the case, Amata just has heavy admiration for Cynthia like Caterina does for Cordia. Hmmm......
Yes she is.

8) This probably won't be plausible right now, but probably more towards end-game, would we be able to take a peek at "Wilfred's Evaluation" sheets of everyone's potential in the Family?
Just my thought, but on top of the lorebook, it might be fun to have one of those "Wilfred's Confidential files" where evaluation has Wilfred's Grade on each individual in the Family (for e.g. Amata: Grade = mid-Capo, also listing strength and weaknesses and Wilfred's thoughts and opinions on Sister Amata)
Maybe. Sounds like fun. But also can be a bit time-consuming unless I only do a few characters.

9) Not much has been said about Isabel's season 2 arc yet. Wouldn't want you to spoil us, but even so, any juicy teases you can give us for those who love the "Teasing Queen"?
It's going to be a lot of teasing! But this time a bit more daringly.

10) Regarding girls' Freeroam mechanic in game, would you be able to share some insight as to whether there will be any possible expansion of this?
Currently there are 6 explorable locations in the DeLuca mansion, and I'm curious as to how many more rooms will be further explorable when Cordia's route gets unlocked, and whether any further no-go rooms in the mansion grounds from before (which we didn't know of) may be available/unlocked as our MC rises higher in ranks.

I mean yes. I've seen some devs go overboard with freeroam mechanic and decided to put too many locations which when playing, freeroaming began to feel like a chore, but in my eyes modicum of increase in freeroam areas for big monumental event doesn't sound like a bad idea (and I like exploring!).

Also, for the game, will there be only Freeroam for DeLuca mansion grounds, or would you be open to implementing it in possible other areas?
Too much in the 'idea' department for me to make any says yet. But there are planned for a few extra ones. Nothing major.

11) Regarding music in games, I've seen some devs create specific soundtrack theme for each of their characters.

So for example, what would you think of a Luna-tailored theme track for some scenes of Luna events, Cordia-tailored theme track for some parts of Cordia events and so on and so on?
Not saying this is what I want, but I've seen some devs try interesting takes experimenting with such character tailored themes, and curious to hear your thoughts on it.
There already is some kind of themes made for some character. Not everyone. It's really tough to look for tailored themes unless you pay the big bucks!

12) Another question about music; what approach regarding music for the game do you think works (and what doesn't work) specifically for you?

Any issues or difficulties with the whole music process (asking for another look under the hood regarding this part of the creative process, heh) that you had to deal with?
There is a lot of things with music. Finding loops, finding a way to make one section loop until something happen so you play the newer part etc. But most of all, it's finding the music in your mind for a specific scene. Can spend so many hours on it.
Honestly, extremely tedious. But worth it, as I believe sound elevates a scene.

Still learning. Rigth now I am working with adobe Audition to create loops (or making it longer for it to sound like a loop)

Hi guys !
I 've replay the "punishment" from the gallery. my question is about the mercenary, there is option to let him alive. But we don't know what append to him. Did it talk? get tortured ? nothing !! I know is not alive at this time lol, but it would be great to have some lore.
And If MC let him alive, is there any influence for the gameplay or any hidden point ? or the best is to let Luna shoot it down ?

Mercenary from that event, even if you let him live nothing is known yet.
And no influence on gameplay/hidden event or whatsoever yet, and doubt there will be for the future.

Only thing that event influences is MC's Dispassion stats level (game's code name for it is Morality, but in-game, it's dispassion).

Unless I remember wrong (or you changed it) i remember Gracie saying that the Deluca family works with the police (or did to make sure crime was gone). I have never really replayed the game so i can't remember fully. But I remember it being somewhat along with what i just typed.

It only effect the dispassion state. No plans on anything else.

I would say the normal length of an update.

The police do come in from outside of town which require a good relationship with The Family and the police chief of the nearest big town.
Maybe this was what you meant JJJ84?

I was referring to this scene here in Town Time event:

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

Gracie doesn't specifically say that the Police was from outside of town, so when I read this part the first time, I just assumed the police who raided DeLuca's warehouses and important places were Lucania's police force, acting within their own jurisdiction area.

But since the police are situated outside Lucania (as you said), and if being unfriendly (or at odds) with the Chief results in surprise police raids and searches, I'm guessing the police force outside Lucania have expanded jurisdiction and have rights to raid and search even within Lucania (outside their normal territories)?

Oops, that's another question. Sorry. :ROFLMAO:

HopesGaming, I really LOVE the music, and ALWAYS play with the sound on. For those who don't, you're missing out on HUGE mood setting. That said, there are several (at least two) places in 0.7 there the loops seem broken, in that it's jerky-back-to-the-start-not-a-smooth-transition (one is Cordia's office during the Introduction--it plays 6+ seconds then restarts with a jerk, until she asks your ambition--and I can't quite recall the other, or the specific scene now, and I have since rebuilt my machine, so am facing a full-play through and was looking to do that with 0.8). Have you done anything to address weird/broken audio in the current 0.7 content, or will that be unchanged in 0.8? I'm happy to point out odd/broken audio, if you're looking for that kind of feedback.

You mean there is a separate dedicated interrogation expert? I thought Wilfred was referring to Lady Cordia (in his own unique way) which was why waking her up in the middle of the night was out of the question. And, in the morning, she is the one who shows up to question Eiza...

Well she's a Donna, so she likely has better things to do than interrogation.

The reason Cordia showed up in the morning to question Eiza (when Wilfred called her to the basement) was because Eiza's late father (Efrem Carnefice) was a dear friend to Cordia (in addition to MC being Eiza's target).

Besides, I'd assume each Family has their own interrogation specialists, especially ones like the Big 5 (which of course includes DeLucas).
Of course, there may be outliers like the Kaskars (where interrogation and torture are just ingrained their Family culture), but I'd imagine such cases are rare.

I'm planning to go back and change some music stuff. But haven't done it yet.
Luna will get a new theme change.

Speaking about the new update will be there android port ? Official?
I don't do any official ports. Dunno how to do it.

Yup there is. Doesn't mean that top dons don't do integrations, but they generally have people who have studied the most humane way to torture someone.

May 1 update.

Due to DMCA issue with music. Unfortunately delay. Apologies.
Enough with your constant whining and condescending behavior.
I ignored you before because you're a player of the game and I can understand the frustrations due to the time the update takes, but you're really taking it too far.
Either stop and engage with the discussions of the game or wait till release.
