With how good this game is, I honestly wish we could get a netflix or HBO series on it (not movie, cause a movie couldn't really give us the amount of story a show could).

Hopes has explained this ad nauseam, he is redoing a big part of the game and he's been here regularly to tell us about the progress.
There is NO reason to believe that there will be no update!!!

Pretty much dead like my ancestors
and i am chat banned there.Yeah, this is maybe one of two or three porn games that I actually care about each of the female characters so much I genuinely have no idea who to pick if/when it comes to having to make a choice. Maybe Milfy City is the same way? Though that feels like if it gets an ending, there will be the ability to have them all. Being a DIK has some great female characters, but there are about half off them that are easy for me to toss to the side because I don't care about them.

I'm pretty sure the German language version isn't made by Hopes but by fans.

Are you going to use the new version of Rempy? I've been seeing that a lot of devs are having trouble as the new version destroys old saves. While we were already going to have to start over, unless you use the new version now, would not that be a problem later?
I am asking as I guess this would make the update take more time, but seems also reasonable to make right from the go. Or what are you planning to do? Still trying to make it to January release?

Can't speak for everyone else, but if it were me I would prefer this update take longer so from this update onwards, the whole game uses the new version of Ren'Py. Some people will groan saying "But it's been too long since the last update!" but well, I think sometimes there are circumstances that Devs can't avoid (such as this).
And I agree with you. Might as well take a bit of time to port(?) everything over to new Ren'Py version so we don't have to risk starting again from beginning later (some people have already made their dissatisfaction known for having to start again from beginning, just don't see that going well if it happens again, with a lot of progress from start of game to where the game currently is).
Hmmm.....f Hopes decides to change to new Ren'Py version, this is just my conjecture, but I'm leaning towards February release (but again, only Hopes would know the answer)

For games that are only menu choices I really don't mind starting over, as you can ctrl skip everything to the point where you left of in a couple of minutes. This game is going to be annoying to start over multiple times as you have the missions and the map in the house. So you cannot just ctrl skip to get there.
Honestly, more delays are always annoying, as we are all too excited to get there, specially as the new version was hinted to be released soon. But yeah, might not see another solution that further delays.
Although, the argument could be made for "there will always be a new version of Rempy so that would imply never an update". Wait and see what Hopes decide to do.

Indeed. The traversing around the DeLuca house, and some conditions for events are "skip X number of days" or "find Gracie in the living room in the afternoon" being very time specific. Even if the new Contracts gameplay system become skippable by option, it's just a lot of hurdles for people just wanting to get to the new update storyline.
I think I'm fine with starting again from beginning and going through it without the ctrl skip this one time (gives me chance to get back and go through the story again, and try to possibly spot anything in lore or storyline that I might have missed). It's not something that I will be doing again should forced restart happen again though.
Hmmm.....how often does Ren'Py version get updated anyway? if it gets updated often, I do wonder if there's Devs out there who go "screw it, I'm just gonna stick to this one version for my whole game regardless of Ren'Py version updates."
But like I said, I'm pretty ignorant in matters like this
